We’re from out of town so it was our first time trying Restauration. It’s a trendy spot in Long Beach that has reopened after a year due to a fire. We had the fried pig ears and cheese plate to start. The fried pig ears were very crispy and tasty while the various cheeses were pretty mild. My kids ordered the pancakes and kids breakfast platter. The pancakes were an excellent combination of bananas, whipped butter, walnuts, and chocolate sauce and maple syrup. The breakfast platter was excellent too with fresh avocados, eggs, and toast. My wife and I ordered the English breakfast and waffle and duck combo. The waffle and duck came with a unique mustard syrup, which I never had before and it was excellent. It paired nicely with both the duck and waffle. Luke, our server was a cool dude and very nice. We enjoyed it here and tasted some new flavors that we’ve never had. Still hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Long Beach! I haven't tried their dinner yet, but brunch is still my favorite. Bottomless mimosas are $18 (2 hour limit). Their food is all local and delicious. You can tell a lot of thought went into their new menu. The bill adds a 3.5% charge to help cover their employees. I personally think that's great! Surprised as we walked through the front entrance, past the kitchen to an expansive dining patio! Clearly this was once a home, lending to the cozy atmosphere. Can we talk about the bread? Yea let's talk about it. My guy told me it's absolutely amazing and I told him not to hype it up. He said if it wasnt amazing i could have anything I wanted. Needless to say... i had to live another day without whatever I wanted. What makes all the difference is that it's made fresh, in house. It's charred and reminiscent of grilled cheese (without the cheese) and the inner portion is so fluffy and clearly not made elsewhere. Moving onto the sangria... holy cow. You can taste the grilled pineapple that they juice into it but it's not overly sweet. Must try. He had the stone fruit and pork pizza.. loved the kick from the spices. Nice blend of sweet and salty and spicyI had the shrimp and chorizo hash. It had a surprising yet nice sourness to it. The only small critique i have is i would have preferred the quail egg on top of the shrimp, under the greens instead of hiding towards the bottom The finale was exactly what i needed. Came here for a relaxing brunch after the October 2018 Long Beach 5K and marathon events. Decided to opt-in to the bottomless mimosas (served with either pomegranate or orange juice) which amounted to the cost of two (2) individual glasses, so I think our decision was practically made for us. The champagne came out in carafes at a time, making service easy and efficient. Although we had a member of our party get removed from the premises due to poor drinking skills, the overall experience (especially the duck and waffles... My friends and I have come here several times for breakfast. Reasonable prices and food is GREAT!!! Parking is difficult so give yourself time and look in the surrounding residential areas. It can get busy on Saturday and Sunday mornings so plan for a wait. Patio seating in back is nice on a beautiful day. More...

When this place reopens, GO THERE! The only reason this review isn't 5 stars is the service. If I could leave a 4.5 star review, I would. We came for brunch, had the flat iron steak and eggs (amazing), the breakfast sandwich on a homemade biscuit (incredible), and my personal favorite, the fried duck with a Belgian waffle and two sunny side up eggs (OMG). We also had bottomless mimosas (if you're into champagne you'll be slightly disappointed, they use really bland/cheap champagne). It's taken me awhile to write this review, and now it's become quite painful since Restauration closed from a fire. I was looking for a place to host a large brunch for my company, and Restauration was recommended to me by a friend's friend. The reservation process was super easy, and Dana went above and beyond when it came to communication and customer service. There were a few other restaurant options on the table, but Restauration stood out above the rest. Gorgeous patio, delicious food, and easy menu.We had a TON of food... much more than we needed. A bunch of people canceled so we had leftovers. As part of our smorgasbord, we had avocado toast, frittata, and pancakes. Everything was so good and beautifully presented. Mimosas were super fancy, and coffee was strong. Restauration was everything you could want in a brunch.The only downside was how many flies were outside because of the heat. I learned that restaurants can't take active measures against them because of health code, but it was fine. The outdoor patio is dog friendly, which is a bonus. I really hope Restauration gets rebuilt and opens up again. I'd love to come here next time I'm in Long Beach. More...

Popped in for lunch after visiting the spa just a few doors down. Sat outside and it was nice -- there were quite a few dogs out there, so something to be aware of if you want to eat on the patio (being that it was pet-friendly). The menu wasn't super long but that's fine because the food  was unique and sounded specially made. I got the cheeseburger and the husband got the duck + waffles -- both were fantastic! Tasted like it was made at home and the vegetables were super fresh -- the cheeseburger I got by itself and it was really filling and great ratio of meat patty to veggies. GETOVERHERERIGHTNOW if you haven't already tried this place at least once. My absolute favorite breakfast place, I salivate at the thought of their fresh and somewhat burnt bread (done purposefully), homemade jam, whipped, mountainous eggs, and small, whole potatoes literally topped with thyme(? ) and other flavors. OMG. Let me start my review with saying Savory Churros. I died and went to heaven. They taste like gourmet cheese puffs! We ordered a million other things and loved everything. The pizzas are sooooo good. Chef Max recommended the Canadian bacon with pineapple. I was skeptical, but ended up licking the plate clean. My boyfriend got the fried oyster sliders? So for Halloween we decided to go to the Queen Mary's Dark Harbor. We decided to grab a bite to eat before and ended up here. Walking in it looks very cozy, and when you walk out back it looks even more welcoming- like someone's backyard party. For Halloween they had a special menu ($32 per person) each person got an appetizer and a main entrée. THE BEST PART: unlimited alcohol including signature crafted cocktails. Even though this was a great deal they also have a happy hour specials for regular days. Their cocktails are priced at around six dollars which is very fair for how DELICIOUS they are! My friend and I both ordered the same drink throughout our meal- the Cucumber Concoction & we had no regrets! It's super refreshing and if you like your drink with a little sour -it's perfect! Me and my friend got the Oyster Chips & Parmesan Churro appetizer. The Oyster chips were pretty good and were placed on top of a lightly baked potato round. However, the Parmesan churro was a bit different than I thought. It had a light crispy outside, but the inside texture was that of very mushy mashed potatoes with a very strong parmesan flavor. As our main entrées my friend and I got the Sopressata Pizza and the Burger. The pizza was super tasty and it was cooked a little well done with the sopressata being nice and crispy on top! The pizza sauce was also nice and sweet, very authentic tasting, like the pizzas I've eaten in Italy. I took a bite of my friends Burger and it was honestly one of the better burgers I've come to eat in the greater Los Angeles area. He got it cooked at a medium temperature & it was perfect. Very juicy & and tasty! As dessert, we thought it would be appropriate to get a short stack of pancakes. They were super fluffy and full of fresh blueberries. Pretty good spot for trying some interesting food items in Long Beach. The cool story behind my wife and I trying this place is that about 9 months ago, I gave a Rideshare ride to the owner of the spot, Dana Tanner. She was so cool! Gave me a $25 gift card to dine at her restaurant.
