My second stay was just as good as the first. My room was wonderful and HUGE. Everything was clean. The front desk was, again, eager to do whatever was needing to be done. I completely appreciate them being there. My only comment ... I don't like that the street can look in on the fitness center room. That stopped me from using it. It's good to be able to see out, but not ok to feel like a fish in a fishbowl with the street seeing in. 5 Stars overall. More...

This hotel is convenient. Beautiful old hotel with tons of history - but what makes it awesome are the staff of this great place! Missy at the front desk makes you feel at home-when I come in, her smiling face and friendly attitude sets the mood! We really do love the Des Moines Savery Hotel; and especially appreciate the many kind people who go out of their way to welcome us and make us comfortable. Last weekend we returned to the Savery for our 50th Anniversary; and we say "Wow!" = Kim is top-notch at pleasing Guests, it's such a joy to meet Mike T and all your cool Staff Members, and so much fun being treated like royalty. What a great hotel when their wonderful Chef, Donald Garrett even spent time with us, shared interesting Savery history, and knew all about our happy memories -- along with the delicious meals he prepared.
