I found Re-Imagine Builders after reading the positive review from Homestar and Google. I am glad I did use them. The job is well done, on-time as promised and with the agreed price. In particular, I like the way they lay out what you will get with the stated price, including the number of rooms, doors, pot lights etc. This was my fear when I started looking for a basement contractor, for such as relatively large amount, and you are not sure what you will get. Based on my research, they are very price competitive. Bo, the boss, is very knowledgeable and listen to your concern and willing to work within our budget.Peggy, my project manager, was very organize and patience. Since this is my first time involving real property contracts, we were very nervous what we are getting for the price we pay, as well as the quality. Peggy was great in dealing with my various changes and demand. Josh, the quality controller, was great as well. There were some minor defects in our basement, even they existed prior to the job, Josh didn't mind to fix them for us. At the end, both me and my wife are very happy to the result. It's almost expected that getting renovations is going to be stressful and frustrating. I know I am picky, and have high expectations, so this was not a process I was looking forward to. When the construction first started I was calling Peggy Sue about a couple things to make sure it wasn't missed. She was on top of it before I even called her. I learned very quickly to just sit back, let the guys have access to my basement to get what they need done, and if something seems off, mention it to Peggy Sue, then sit back again because she will take care of it.
I never ever had to leave messages, or wait for responses or wonder about anything. I am actually still in a bit of shock at how easy this was. Bo gave a quote and it only changed, if I added something. Peggy Sue was in contact with me the entire process, and she was a dream to work with. All the guys that were working in my basement were so kind and helpful. What a great team of people.
100% would I recommend Reimagine to anyone.

We recently decided to finish our basement and got several quotes from basement development companies. ReImagine was very quick in getting the quote back to us and it was a competitive quote. They were also able to get us in their schedule to get the job done before Christmas. Reimagine Builders developed basement which was completed 1 week ago. I’m very satisfied on the outcome on the project so I’m giving them 5 Stars or higher if possible. Our basement now looks like a small 2BR condominium unit. I like on how Reimagine trust their Clients. They don’t require a deposit prior to starting the work and your first payment in only after the 1st inspection done by the City of Calgary. They are also attentive and responsive on any observations that you raise with them while the work is on-going. They also have 5 year warranty which I don’t expect to use as the quality of their Trades works appears great. We are extremely glad that we decided to go with Reimagine Builders to develop our basement. Our approach was to select only the builders around Calgary that had 5 stars rating to provide us with estimates. Budget was important, but we also wanted to know the high-level process from each company so that we can select the right builder for the project. Through the process of elimination, Reimagine Builders came out on top. Everything was clearly explained to us throughout the various stages of the project. Their website was also well designed and informative. Any issues that we identified during the project were addressed promptly. We had a chance to meet some of the people at Reimagine Builders and they were fantastic people. They were meticulous, but most importantly very professional. They met all our expectations. We selected Reimagine Builders after meeting with a handful of other companies to explore options for our relatively small basement in northwest Calgary. Bo and his team were not only the most cost-effective option, they also delivered exceptional quality and best-in-class service. Despite the project’s relatively modest size, not once did we feel as though were anything but Reimagine’s top priority. They were very amenable to changes in the initial design of the basement and were in constant contact with us throughout the course of the project to ensure we were satisfied with how things were proceeding. Importantly, they also worked with us to find ways to complete the project more efficiently and were very conscious of the disruption to our family on those rare occasions when their work bled into the evening or weekends. In particular, Peggy and Josh were absolutely stellar – their responsiveness, attention to detail and exacting standards of their subcontractors made the finished space that much better. We recently finished a basement and built a detached garage in Chestermere with ReImagine and they surpassed our hopes from the appointment in our home for a quote to completion of our projects. ReImagine provided the skilled labourers for each stage of both of the projects. Small adjustments were made to the final price when we asked for upgrades or were given credits for deletions. Otherwise, the quote was the final price. ReImagine's quote, invoicing and receipts were done electronically which made keeping track of our expenses and billing very easy. Their quote was not the highest nor was it the lowest, but we feel we got the best contractor for the price.We were able to go to ReImagine's suppliers and choose our own finishes and the garage siding, soffits and downspouts match our 14 year old house exactly making it look like it's always been there. We've had several neighbours remark about the quality of the work.Peggy and Josh our two Project Managers were always available to answer any questions by phone, email, or by direct message. All permits were looked after by ReImagine and inspections were booked with the city in a timely manner. We are thrilled with our new basement from Reimagine Builders. We interviewed 4 other builders prior to choosing Reimagine. Bo was awesome with helping us design our basement space and the price was reasonable. Bo worked out a cool "under the stairs" bar area - we get many compliments on it. When we were in the process of purchasing our home, we decided to go with the mortgage plus reno in order to finish the basement. This meant needing a quote to give the bank on short notice. I contacted many companies but either they took a very long time getting back to me, or their estimates were much higher than we were expecting to pay. When I contacted ReImagine, I received an immediate response, and Bo was able to come to the house and give us a quote very quickly. The price was less than other companies, and he even gave me a booking credit that was meant to be used earlier in the year. Peggy oversaw the project and was beyond amazing, always very quick to respond to any questions and made sure we always knew what was going on. She is a huge asset and I loved working with her. Josh was also great, making sure I was happy with anything that was done. Any small problems that came up were taken care of efficiently and to my satisfaction. After talking to a number of renovation contractors, we hired Bo with Reimagine Builders to develop our unfinished basement. We are extremely happy with the final results. Bo was the only developer to see the potential in our basement, change the layout and make it the most functional it could be, and all on budget! Bo and his team did a great job. I highly recommend Reimagine Builders. I needed a quote from a contractor to provide the bank and Bo was the only one who accommodated this. Everyone else had an excuse not to give it as they suspect I would only use the quote as a guide and go somewhere else. Bo quickly gave me a quote based on the packages that they already built. ReImagine Builders developed my basement. The project took about 8-10 weeks to complete (not including Christmas holidays). The project began in December and finished mid-late February. It was very easy to get a hold of Bo (President) and Josh (Project Manager). They both came over to measure my basement, provided free drawings, consultation, and quote. They also did an amazing job developing my garage. Communication: 5/5, there was never a time I didn't know what stage the project was at. Courtesy: 5/5, they knew we were having a baby in February and they finished our basement in time so they would not disrupt our new-born with construction noise. The trades removed their footwear when entering our home (before they laid down running mats). Professionalism 4.5/5, There were a few small pieces of broken drywall left on the side of my house which got cleaned up shortly after drywall installation was complete. Other than that, we didn't experience any problems with the trades. Quality: 5/5, I've received many compliments about the quality of work done, and how they matched our basement colors to the rest of our home making it appear as if it was developed by the builder. Price: 5/5, The quote I was given was $8,000 less than other builders. I did not request any change orders or major upgrades mid-project so the price did not fluctuate. I have had my share of problems dealing with contractors in the past and have become very distrustful as a result. When my wife and I decided to develop our basement we spoke with 5-6 different contractors and I was very unimpressed with the prices and presentation. One guy came in without a tape measure or anything, looked around for less than 2 minutes and told me it would be $50,000. No mention of what was included or anything. So when Bo came and spent close to two hours at our initial visit going through the various options and inclusions I knew that this was the company I wanted to work with…… and it didn’t hurt that their quote was for close to $10,000 less than most of the others.
