I've been to Rei Do Gado for my anniversary and had made reservations through open table. The host was friendly and seated us as soon as we reached the restaurant. Food was good but I filled up fast on the cheese balls and salad bar. I only recommend this place if you have an appetite for loads of meat. This is by far the best Brazilian bbq I've ever been to! The service is great and the meat is always fresh. They're very quick with the rotations for the meat. Excellent service and good food last time I came. If I had a choice of Brazilian steakhouses is in San Diego I would probably shop around. Others that I've been to have better meat quality, but it is good here. Salad bar doesn't really have the things I need to balance something light with the meat but there are many good choices. Overall, I like the experience a lot and will come here again. Excellent coffee. Excellent service. But it has to be four stars to allow others to be five. I'm a huge fan of Brazilian Steak Houses and this was by far the best ever!  The crab legs are to die for, the meats are flavorful and I never had to wait for a serving. ..they just constantly get coming by...the pineapple was awesome..all the meats were fantastic!  ALL 17 OF THEM!!!!  The staff was very friendly, it is a small establishment so I highly recommend reservations...atmosphere was great, quiet and peaceful..Definitely going back there again! Never noticed this place, but decided to have lunch here the Sunday after Thanksgiving.  So glad I did!  The food was excellent.  The meats were very good, and there was a good variety.  But what I really liked was the variety of salads/side dishes available.  So much more than what I usually see at the other Brazilian restaurants and so good.  I usually don't eat much of the salads/sides to save room for the meats, but I went back for seconds.  I came with my family of 4, and we all really liked the food.  We will definitely be coming back. OMG! Okay the reason why I loved this place is the absolute genius way they serve their crab legs... The sheer fact that they serve crab legs in general is bomb-dot-com! Their competitor Fogo is great too but the fact that they have the seafood option makes me SO happy. Anyways the way they served the steamed crab legs is they slice them down the center and expose the meat for easy access... Meaning no messy cracking of leg and juices flying everywhere! That is definitely the move convenient way to eat crab legs less someone shoveling it into your mouth. I am allergic to pineapple but apparently my family LOVED the pineapple that is grilled and sugared and their cool knives! The other amazing part of Rei Do Gado is they are very upfront with their cooking process! They have glass windows displayed so you can see them roasting everything.DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE CHEESY BREAD! Thank you! It was a special occasion, our son’s 21st birthday. Everything was delicious and service was awesome as always. We appreciated the kind gesture by accommodating our dad who is elderly and uses a walker and also for arranging the tables so we can all sit closer to the buffet table/near the front window. I'll say it, this is my Favorite Brazilian Steakhouse in San Diego. The biggest reason why is because of their awesome lunch special. Their lunch special is Monday-Friday 11am-2pm. I used to come here in college after having a big test, or just when I had a rough week so I can get the meat sweats. All the meats a great, my particular favorite is their Chicken and Cheese which is bomb. By far the favorite is the Filet Mignon wrapped in bacon. What's great about this place is that it has some korean influence. The owners are Korean/Brazillians who add a little bit of their influence on the sides. I love this place, I went there during lunch time and there was 12 of us, the place is definitely worth it and the service was great. They would also ask you which ones you specifically wanted so you didn't have to wait for the ones you really wanted. They also satisfied some of our family that wanted the steaks cooked medium well.
