I would like to say that Raise the Bottom has really done a great job helping me to manage my chronic pain by the adage " work smarter not harder" and it has helped TREMENDOUSLY as I was trying to be way too much of a one man show and was constantly tweaking my back and neck. My counselor Terry has done such an awesome job in helping me. I dont know what they pay him, but he deserves a raise !!! He truly cares for the people he works with. More...

Some of the staff is helpful, others are worthless, they do not offer fee dosing which is bizzare since every other clinic in every other state, even rural areas offer this because of the heart issues that can be caused by stopping methadone suddenly.

I've been a patient here since Jan or Feb of 2016. Their down to earth and patient centered approach has amazed me. If your doing well and maintaining total abstinence they give you the respect you deserve. If you fall into old ways of thinking and relapse they still respect you but call you on it and act as a team member in your recovery to get you back on track. The clinic's I've seen around this country hace too many patients that need help, and they abandon you to your fate when you relapse. This place seems to take on the extra workload, even in the new increase of drugs and patients coming into Boise. Dr kaylor and the staff run it like a well oiled machine, with their hearts and experienced and understanding minds governing the process. Its truly a model for how clinic's should operate nationwide. I would objectively give it five stars but for two things, one minor and one glaring and criticl issue. The critical is they don't have an after hours line that seems to be working. Perhaps they take the constant messages and screen them, but if it is it really is frustrating and sucks to be let down like that and if it isn't it sucks more. If you have after hours it should operate when it says it does. It made a pharmacist break down in tears seeing me fight for my routine and my sobriety and them remaining silent. The minor issue is you guys weren't open today at ten. I hate giving the negative on such a great place but if you fix it I'm gonna edit this and give it five stars. Neverheless,i may be dead or in jail or in a hospital without you guys. You are excellent supports and members of my recovery, keep it up. I have to leave temporarily for financial reasons but I'll be back soon. More...

Raise the bottom has changed my life. I've tried several different ways to get sober and medication therapy has been the only thing that has worked for me. I recommend the raise the bottom to anyone that has not been successful in getting sober without medication. I've been here for 3 years and have learned more about myself and how to stay sober then I have in all of my years in and out of inpatient and outpatient rehab facilities. They offer a variety of classes, access to Community Support, one on one counseling, Mental Health medications and have been able to support me in more ways then I could have ever imagined. I would suggest to get as much out of this place as you possibly can, take the suggestions, and do the work. Don't give up, before you know it your life will look completely different then it had from the time you walked in the doors of Raise the Bottom. More...

Ok, so here is the deal. Clinics all over the place have some pretty unreasonable rules and regs. But if you follow the rules this place will be a saving grace. The tip i’d give I’m sure you all know is stay away from benzodiazepines. They will brutally cut your dose. I was at 105mg and dropped to 40mg, it was cut for a little over two weeks and it was hell. To give you an idea though the same problem happened at Center for Behavioral Health and they cut my dose for three months. So in reality, Raise the bottom is much more reasonable in that aspect. They take insurance, private and Medicare which is really cool of them to do. You bring them your insurance and they take care of it, now that’s service. It changes the cost from 10 a day to 5. Also if you pay daily instead of weekly CBH charges 12 a day where RTB charges 10 a day. It saves us addicts money that don’t have a lot to begin with. The councilors are pretty great but they are overworked with their case load growing every day so if you feel you need to see them more than once a month. Make a point to make extra appointments and attend groups. It will help. The front counter staff is very helpful and respectful, I’ve never been ill treated by any of them. It’s a pretty clean building overall. The only problems I have are ones that I believe might be out of Raise the Bottoms hands. These changes I speak of that need to be made might have to happen at the state and federal levels. I’m currently looking into it. All in all, if your reading this deciding weather or not you want to try it out. Let me tell you, Do it! And do it now! Living a stable life on Methadone is worlds better than the alternative. I’m not sure about you prescription pill peeps but us street junkies, the H, U47 and Fent crowd live very painful, sad lives. Days where drifting away in a numb euphoric fog and getting lost sounds like the only way to cope with everything that’s happened to you, leading you to this very moment. Oh and the sickness, don’t even get me started on that fresh hell. The Clinics are not perfect and you will get frustrated from time to time but you will get your life back. The cravings, pain, bone pain, runny noses, sinsitive skin, chills, sweats, insomnia, RLS, diareaha, vomiting.. the list is endless and it all can stop with the right dose and treatment. Once I got in so deep with needles I though I would die with a rig in my arm for sure, that there was no way out because of how bad my withdrawals had gotten. And it wasn’t because I wanted to continue living that way. it’s because I was so hopelessly addicted I couldn’t stop, not for myself, my family, my friends. I’d do anything, give anything just for a fix so I didn’t have to be sick. Then once you get well that clock starts ticking down tell you know your wheels are going to start spinning out of control once more. Just know you don’t have to feel that pain anymore, there is treatment, hope and it all starts here. Every junkie getting off the streets into these clinics is a win against this disease plaguing our nation, brothers and sister. If your addiction is not critical I would suggest going with Saboxone, if your addiction is bad and cravings is something you really struggle with I would suggest Methadone. From what I understand Methadone is more potent and covers all the symptoms of withdrawal but is also harder in the end to get off of. So you need to decide how bad your addiction is and what direction you feel is best for you. Speak with your counselor about it. They will be able to point you in the right direction. I hope this helps and to all you reading this. Keep your head up and keep on keeping on. It’s never to late to change for the better. Sincerely,A RTB patient More...

If you are using opiates and need stability in your life raise the bottom can be a great place for you. As with any addiction service, you can expect to get out of it what you put in. Being clean is a hard full time job and RTB can be a great Allie in the fight. If you expect THEM to get YOU clean for you then you will always have complaints and failures. I can say from personal experience that this place is amazing compared to the life i had when I was using street drugs. Very friendly staff and great prices. Remember, you'll get out of it what you put into it. More...

Raise the bottom is awesome if you don't gOT money they are known to work with you and will even give you 3 free months. Unlike center for behavior health if you are short a quarter they will not dose you . and during my experience with CBH my very own counselor whom I was close to committed suicide which could have effected my sobriety. And I love the staff at RTB they really care and work with any situation you may have I highly recommend this clinic. More...

As with anything else in life, what YOU put into it determines what you get out of it. This place has been a blessing for me personally. Have there been times I was frustrated because there was a line, sure, but usually only because I got there 15 minutes before they close when I knew there would be a last minute rush of people so I can't complain about that. Lol In fact, MOST of the things I've seen critiqued are things that each person probably played a part in how it happened. For example, if you are a patient and you're not happy with your counselor then request to be placed with a different one rather than make a blanket statement that all the counselors are useless. Again, 95% of what kind of experience you have here is up to you, your attitude, and how much you put into it. They aren't going to magically make you clean and happy, you're going to have to do some work. But if you do you'll likely find this place is a blessing for you as well. The front desk and nurses that do the dosing are awesome! To address some of the negative comments about the reception staff we have to remember that they're tasked with being the first people we see and the ones that collect the money so not only do they get yelled at for things totally out of their control because they're the first face we see but any time you're dealing with collecting money you're going to deal with some frustrated and angry people at times. The fact that most of the patients are going through a stressful time with lots of changes makes both of those positions require special people who have a lot of patience and the ability to handle conflict at times. Not to mention flying by the seat of their pants if the computers go down. LolThe nurses have to get our doses right, handle all our urine, listen to any number of drama filled stories, keep the window moving, AND do another job entirely that we dont ever see behind the scenes. My counselor is awesome so I'm not going to tell you her name or she'll get too many patients and not have any time for me and my messages. Lol More...

Most of the staff are in recovery, which means a great deal to those who are just beginning their own recovery. They seem to care, and understand what it's like to be an opiate addict. Counseling services are available, of course, and they offer other types of programs besides just methadone maintenance. The doctors, however, being contracted, almost always are somewhat ignorant about the actual in's and out's of opiate addiction and withdrawal. It seems like their most used statement is, "methadone lasts for 24 hrs." In reality, though, many factors contribute to the speed at which it is actually metabolized in the real world. More...
