I booked my cab with you this September when I was in a hurry to arrive at my friend's wedding reception. I never expected to stumble upon such a professional taxi provider. Everything A to Z was so pleasant, and my driver (sorry but I forgot the name, I'm so bad with the names... :)) was so kind and helpful. A few days after, I decided to book again for my mum's bday party, and then almost every day to get to work, run errands, etc. After all these rides, it's safe to say that you deserve a five-star review since I experienced nothing but awesome and punctual rides each time I booked with you. I put my intoxicated customers in Radio Cabs when they leave the bar I work at. Today, I had a dead battery, and looked up various roadside assistance companies. The going rate was $50-$80 for a tow truck to arrive. I remembered seeing somewhere that Radio Cab does jump start services. I called dispatch, and found out it was only $15. Always get my gas here- the guys who run the gas station are professional, fast, and also extremely nice. It's also my dog's favorite place in Portland because they never forget to give her a treat. I ordered a cab from a DIFFERENT company to the airport the evening prior for an early flight the next morning. I was quoted $39. They never showed and after trying for 15 minutes was not able to get through to their dispatch to rectify the situation.That's when I called Radio Cab. They sent a taxi right away he arrived before the 15-minute prediction. Got us to the airport with some friendly educating conversation about the city and on time for a flight for much less than the $45 I had allotted based on the other quote. However in alleviating our anxieties with his friendly and assured manner he earned the $45 for fixing the other company's error.If I am ever visiting Portland again it will be Radio Cab all the way! Follow up. RC service got so bad I switched to Yelp for a few months. More expensive but very fast arrival, in-app communication so I can ask them to come to the side entrance of my grocery store, whereas RC would consistently go to the other side, a block away, and then leave in 2 minutes. I usually use Uber and Lyft but when traveling with the little one, I have to use taxis in most cities.  I don't understand all the negative reviews. I booked with Radio Cab three times on a recent trip to Portland using their iOS app.  I could see real-time location and estimated arrival times.  Radio Cab came within 5-7 min as scheduled.  Clean cabs, courteous drivers and careful driving.  Reasonable fares, too, including to PDX airport.I plan to return to Portland and when I do, I will be booking with Radio Cab. I've used Radio Cab 4 times in 2 days.  It's cheap- they are comparable with Lyft and Uber.  The drivers always arrived early, sometimes faster than I was ready for.  This is not a limo- no, Jeeves did not give me a bottle of water upon arrival and I opened my own door.  Beyond that it was pretty freaking great because they were so fast that they were nearly at my beck and call.  Clean cars, all new and in great shape.Will be using them again tomorrow for the airport.   Most big cities have drivers that are from other countries, have dirty and broken cabs (frequently with the engine light on) and sometimes drive crazy.  These were good drivers, all in their late 20's/early 30's and professional.  Hint- I called and talked to a person each time instead of using the app.  I'm old fashioned and that worked great for me. I used the Radio Cab app on my phone to schedule a pickup from PDX when I got back from India last month. After a 33-hour journey like that, I didn't want anything to go wrong with my ride home. And Radio Cab delivered. The driver was right there, I paid with my company credit card, and I was home in no time. I absolutely LOVE Radio Cab. Anyone who doesn't simply don't know what they're talking about. I live in Monterey, where it often takes 15-20 minutes to get an available cab, and that's on a good day. Sometimes it can take over 30 minutes.Radio Cab, on the other hand, is usually there within 5 minutes, unless on a busy Friday when it can take up to 15 minutes.Did you know the company was started by Vietnam Vets? That scores BIG in my book. And, even though they hire younger drivers now, their "vibe" is still AWESOME. I've had to cancel twice now, due to a friend giving me a ride, and they were so nice to me both times. No funky "attitude," no "bad treatment."Keep up the good work, Radio Cab~ I'M A BIG FAN!!P.S. Radio Cab is a great taxi service.  Most drivers are friendly locals. They have a good app now too if you prefer that.  The way they handle phone calls & use of text when the taxi is arriving, etc. takes all the stress out of calling a cab.  The taxi business has really changed in the past years. You all know. There are too many companies now; & too may unfriendlies or foreigners who do not know the short cuts. You can call Radio Cab to pick you up at the airport now too instead of taking your chances at the taxi stand. I will not put myself in the hands of an unknown at the PDX taxi stand ever again. They are prepared for disabilities, will deliver goods, and will just jump your battery as well.  A full service, friendly, local company that pays its employees a fair wage. More...

Radio Cab totally saved us last Friday!  We were on our way to a concert when our car broke down on Marine drive.  We called for a cab, and the dispatcher was a little hesitant to send someone without an address, but luckily we got Jordan, the best driver ever.  He arrived within 10 minutes of our call (during the peak of rush hour), helped us pinpoint our address, and even looked up the number of a good towing company for us, since we're from out of town and needed a recommendation.  The best part is, he got us to our show on time.  Jordan, you rock, and we lifted a beer to you when they played The Mariner's Revenge!! I'm the reason the other fares had to wait on hold, and I appreciate the time I received. The whole issue of scheduling a Friday rush-hour cab for a doctor appointment for my elderly father was discussed in some detail. The scheduler did let me know that other calls were backing-up, to gently move me along; but he was very considerate even while under that pressure. And that is pressure, because if you read these posts, a lot of folks get really torqued, hang up, and write a bad review if they are kept on hold!
So now I understand why they can't predict a set time for the cab's arrival, even if the order was placed 4 days in advance. Big "AHA!" moment. I changed the appointment to a Monday and called back to dispatch to change the date/time of pick ups. Excellent guidance to provide me as excellent a service as humanly possible. Thanks! More...

I absolutely love Radio Cab and even with things like Uber and Lyft taking over, I still try to use and support Radio Cab when I can. I have yet to ever have an issue with their services. Every driver I have had has been awesome, and at this point I have had dozens of them. I've never experienced any issues with them not showing up or being too much later than they said or overcharging me or anything like that.Occasionally I've called for a pick up and the wait time was just too long and I had to call somewhere else, but I don't really see that as a big enough issue to effect my overall rating. That's something that just happens sometimes.Radio Cab is definitely my first choice for cabs when I am in and around Portland and I don't see that changing anytime soon. More...

Had an flight to NYC and dreaded the early am departure for the airport. Scheduled a cab for 3:30 the night before and was worried about a cab arriving late or not finding the house ( every Uber of lyft I've tried I've gotten complaints and they've been ten mins or more late and told me my house was inconvenient) but Cab 3 arrived not only early but was ready to load up so we had a proper 3:30 departure! Driver was courteous and asked me what route to PDX Id prefer and was patient with my 'just woke up' groggy brain when I couldn't remember the route I usually took.
