I went here with my wife tonight, we got there dangerously close to closing but were greeted with a very warm welcome. We asked staff for recommendations on dishes, and were not disappointed. We shared a few appetizers (when I remember the names I'll update.) For the entre I had the goat vindaloo, it was perfectly cooked and spicy. My wife tried the chicken tikka masala which was also excellent. Both paired very well with the garlic naan.Overall, great AUTHENTIC food, super friendly staff, and very reasonable prices. My wife and I ate there for the first time yesterday, and were impressed by the large variety of offerings on the menu. We have eaten at many Indian restaurants but rarely see this many items outside of India. The quality was excellent, and afterwards the owners came and spoke to us personally for several minutes. Awesome place with delicious flavorful food. My GF and I stumbled in on our lunch break and while it was a quiet Monday, and the place was empty, we were blown away! The owner Tony and his lovely wife Kena were extremely hospitable and very endearing. We ordered the pani puri, chicken Tikka and shrimp Tikka. I had Chai tea (without sugar). Went earlier in the week and again tonight. Had pani puri (yummmmm) and a salt lassi. The puris were so crispy. I love them. .. Then my friend and I shared the Raangoli Special Biryani. I had the lamb /goat with heavy spicy curry sauce. It's one if their signature dishes. My son had chicken heavy curry mild. These dishes were excellent. Bursting with flavor...definitely something different for me.In addition, we also had buttered Naan... and a salad. The Naan was very good and went very well with our sauces. I visited this restaurant when it was Krishna Indian Cuisine, so I'm not sure about the quality of the food or the dishes available now. The restaurant was huge, providing lots of space for large events and parties. We were seated quickly and there were a couple of other tables already seated with a large party filling in a portion of the restaurant quickly. I ordered the Shrimp Vindaloo and my boyfriend ordered the Krishna Special Biryani. I really enjoyed the spicy Shrimp Vindaloo even though I'm not the biggest spice fan. I do however, wish that there were more shrimp in the dish. Since it was primarily sauce and rice with nothing to combat the heat, it was pretty hot but, manageable. My boyfriend however, could not stomach the heat of the Krishna Special Biryani and didn't finish. I did take the remainder of his food home to finish during lunch at work another day.We haven't been back and they've since changed hands and the name. I went with my family to this restaurant and being Indian, I am super critical about indian restaurants especially ones that also host parties. This is one of the best places I have been in terms of service and quality of food. The palak paneer was so delicious and the waiter was so prompt even though some big event was taking place at the restaurant. Sometimes if you call the waiter over too many times to ask for things, they tend to forget things, but this one remembered everything I asked for in addition to my meal. I went for a business lunch with a couple of associates. We had different food requirements due to 2 being vegan and 1 veg. The owner himself took the orders and made sure that everything was prepared just the way we wanted.The restaurant has a large dining space and serves an extensive menu of Indian cuisine. The menu spans over several pages. The restaurant serves as a party venue, too. It also has a very spacious and nicely decorated party space in the basement. From what I heard, they were reasonably priced, too.We had the Daal Tadka, Alu Gobi Masala and Chhole Masala served with Jeera Rice and a couple of different Naans. Each dish was as expected in taste and I felt that the restaurant is on par with some of the best in the NJ/NY area. I was there not too long ago for a baby shower with my husband. My husband made friends with the bartender who was working the party he was very sociable, he did have an ear piece for a good portion of the night but he performed quite extravagantly. There were issues with new hires and management, but overall the the drive from Long Island was well worth it. The venue looked amazing and aside from a couple eardrums popped from a not so well placed DJ, I would say that I am definitely having my parties here. The food was amazing. The only reason I can’t rate this review any higher is mainly because of the new hires and management. The bartender was amazing and remembered everyone’s specific drinks and how to prepare them. I feel like he could have done his job alittle bit better without the ear piece but I have no complaints especially since the bartender had made sure that everyone would be safe driving back home and didn’t want anyone to take a risk that night. I booked this location for my son's third birthday and had 150 guests. I was absolutely amazed by the level of service and quality of food. The owner Tony was great and very accommodating and took care of all the details. We had a very detailed menu and Tony took time out to make sure that every thing was taken care of.I have had India and Pakistani food all over NJ and this was by far the best experience. Better then any restaurants in Edison or Jersey City.I have no idea where is the negative comments are coming from, seems like the person had a personal problem with the owners. This place is amazing! There food is soo delicious and the chef/ waitresses are super nice and heart-warming! I have never tasted such great Indian food and the service is amazing!
