I loved the pool/spa area. The spa lunch was delicious. During my massage, I was so relaxed I might have fallen asleep a few times. The hot stone enhancement was a nice addition to my massage. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. While we were lounging at the pool, they came to check on us a few times throughout our stay. Very lovely facility with super friendly and helpful staff. Our massage treatment was memorable and comfortable, even for my husband! We enjoyed happy hour and the pool. The robes were the most luxurious robe I ever used and the rooms themselves are very romantic, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the fire place and the jacuzzi bath tub. I've been here twice now with some co workers when they have their little concert events. During the summer on the last Thursday of the month they host somewhat of a mini concert with wine and beer plus food catered from Posada - a local restaurant in Livermore. Both times we've been the staff has been very pleasant. For these events they sell wine by the glass or bottle that seems pretty reasonably priced at $14 a glass and $42 a bottle for their micro reserve Cabernet. There's white wine and beer but I don't typically drink those so I cannot recall their prices. The food is $15 per plate with $5 side fries if you so choose. The great part about this place is how it looks - its pretty stunning as you walk through the spa / hotel into the back where there's a pool, waterfall and lovely pathways. The music that they host isn't my cup of tea and its way too loud in my opinion. Most of the people here are older so maybe they're compensating for hearing? haha but it can be a little much if the performer is the scream sing type. Bathrooms are tucked away a little far from the performance area but seem well kept. You need to bring your own chairs as they do not provide any seating or you can feel free to bring your own blanket and just sit on the grass. More...

I've been here 3 times for day visits to the spa (I never stayed the night in the hotel) and I really enjoyed it. I like to spend the day by the pool, it's very pretty and peaceful. I usually get a 50- or 90-min massage. Every massage I've gotten here was really great. This last time I had Vanessa and I can't recall who I had before. I did a sports massage. The pool is really nice on a sunny day. They also serve lunch, wine and mimosas, etc. I like to bring a friend and a book and spend the whole day there! My sister and I found this boutique inn based on reviews and I'm glad we did! We booked for the spa but I wished we booked for a room too! The inn was so charming and the grounds were breathtaking. All of the staff were warm and welcoming. I recieved the 80 minute Vitaskin Targeted Facial with Kathleen and it was amazing! She was very experienced and knew exactly how to treat my skin. My husband and I recently stayed here and will definitely be back. We got to know the owners, who are absolutely lovely people. And, the rest of the staff were warm, friendly and very helpful! This boutique resort provides a serene atmosphere with the sounds of the waterfall splashing gracefully into the inviting pool. We browsed through her galleries and we were sold! She was super responsive and personable from the start, way different than other photographers we contacted. Wow, what a great place to visit. My friend Chantal treated me here to a spa day for my birthday. Jessica did my facial, she is very gentle and she did a wonderful job. This bed and breakfast offers the perfect weekend getaway. The spa services are on point, the rooms are luxurious (those sheets! ) and every last detail is intended to make sure you feel spoiled and pampered from start to finish. The wine and olive oil hour is a great added touch that no guest should pass up.  Breakfast was great, with various options to choose from at the time of check-in. Because the inn is small, staff know their guests and are very attentive. The pool and grounds are beautifully maintained and the views are unrivaled. Do not pass up the opportunity to sit by the pool in the afternoon with a French press of coffee. I cannot wait to go back for another weekend away. I honestly don't even know where to start with how amazing of an experience we had at the Purple Orchid for our wedding.  First off, the price is unbeatable in that area when you consider all-inclusive wedding venues (i.e. rentals, food, alcohol) especially when you consider the fact that the price also includes 10 rooms (in which you can have up to 24 people stay) and brunch the morning after your wedding. Another major benefit of this venue is their indoor and outdoor space. With us getting married in November we were aware of the possibility of rain so we wanted a venue that offered both outdoor and indoor options, the purple orchid checked that box! Not to mention the free couples massage is definitely a plus as well! One of my main "wants" for my wedding was to have amazing food and their caterers fully provided that, we have gotten so many compliments on our food choices and how it's some of the best food people have ever had at a wedding! Speaking of compliments, the venue itself is to die for with its multiple backgrounds for photos and the "magical" reception area in the olive grove. Danelle and Caitlyn honestly are what really put the icing on the cake for this whole experience for us as well. They both were willing to continually answer my random questions throughout my entire year of planning. Not only that, but if I mentioned something in email, they almost always remembered and brought it up during our meetings. They made some serious magic happened and were willing to go to all lengths to make this a smooth and stress-less situation for us. From making suggestions, to helping us think of things we hadn't thought of, to even finding a DVD player for the room we were having the kids babysat in they are both so incredibly hard working. They also consistently worked with our other vendors so we did not have to handle a lot of the receiving of things the day of. I provided their team with specific instructions on how I wanted to set up my décor and honestly they did the most spot on job with only a few changes that I honestly ended up liking more. Purple Orchid Wine Country Resort & Spa is a perfect "get away" without getting out of town. If you're looking for a gift for someone that has everything, but appreciates quality experiences, they sell gift certificates. Hubby and I checked into the Grand Champion room yesterday, relaxed in the hot tub in the afternoon, enjoyed the included wine & cheese hour in the Gathering Room, and then relaxed by the fireplace in our room. The bed and sheets are super plush, I didn't want to get out of bed the next morning. The view out of the window of the orchard and the rolling hills with the sunrise was absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed the included plated breakfast, which was a real homemade breakfast fresh cooked eggs, country potatoes, veggie omelette & breakfast burrito with chorizo and grilled onions and peppers with quality coffee and a bunch of yummy sides. We didn't have time to enjoy the spa this time, but I've enjoyed the spa services on other occasions and the spa staff is really talented. The resort has such a relaxing vibe and the staff and the owners are so welcoming with the highest standards of service. You get a LOT for your money here.
