This business does not verify the identity of their employees or perform any type of training before entrusting a new walker with their client’s keys and access codes. When a dog was lost, Liz (the owner), instead of taking responsibility for the lack training and protocol instead blamed a new “employee” for being fearful of an aggressive dog which was snarling and snapping. I use the word employee loosely because the owner did not see their ID, confirm their name or complete any hiring paperwork or tax documentation prior to sending them into multiple client’s homes unattended and entrusted them with dogs whom they have never met. Liz is a wonderful dog walker, and runs a fabulous company. Our pup is very shy, and my schedule isn’t consistent week to week, but she’s able to arrange her schedule so she can be the one to walk our dog regardless of what day we need her that week. Liz and Bucky have literally been lifesavers for me, my girlfriend and our dogs! After coming off of a terrible dog walker experience I was reluctant to let anyone in our home, but we needed the help! When we reached out to Liz and met her she couldn't have been any kinder or more reassuring that our experience with her would be completely different from our old company-- and she was right! She went out of her way for us to meet Bucky, the walker who comes to our house everyday, to assure we were comfortable with him and they were both gems about all of my craziness after our previous experience! We've been with them for a few months now and they have met & exceeded expectations for us! Bucky is timely, kind and professional. I can tell my dogs love him and that he genuinely enjoys being with them! Liz is easy to work with, prompt with responses and incredibly professional! Their rates are competitive and worth every penny for the quality of the job! I could not give them high enough praise for how great of a job they do, and how important they are in keeping our home running smoothly! My usual dog walker is a local college student but when he went on winter break, I needed a substitute walker who I could trust with my husky and my house keys. I found Pup Tales on Yelp and they met all my expectations :) Liz and her walkers were very sweet, courteous to my roommates, and always arrived on time according to my roommates. The rates are pretty affordable for center city with a 30 minute walk running $15 on both week and weekend days. I will definitely be using their services again. Liz is wonderful! She's professional and so friendly. My jack russell mix is pretty high energy, and it's so nice coming home to a tired doggie after a long day. Plus he adores her! Good prices, especially for a longer walk than most places I researched offered.EDIT: Well, more like a quick addition. I wanted to give Liz and Bucky some extra feedback because they were complete lifesavers this summer. Liz took my dog for months, but usually just once a week or so. Then I started studying for the bar exam and they were so great. I know they gave my dog extra love when I was pretty much on campus 12-14 hours a day. I could study and not worry about leaving my dog at home. And when I had to actually go to the exam and my arrangements for the dog fell through, they were there for extra walks and were so accommodating. PupTales truly is an extension of the family. I know that I can trust Liz with both my dogs and my cat and not have to worry about a thing! She plays with all the animals, ensures that their water bowls are full, and even feeds them for me if she knows I'm going to be stuck at work late. The little report cards she leaves behind prove that she is dedicated to a full experience for both pet and owner. Liz and Corinne have been watching my dog Prince for a few weeks now and I am so grateful! The report cards they leave are wonderfully helpful and Prince seems so much happier when I get home from work. They give me updates via text that I really appreciate and they treat my dog just as I would.Liz was able to meet with me on short notice and take over the dog walking almost immediately - she was a godsend, especially because there are few resources for me in West Philly.I highly recommend using them if you are looking for caring, loving dog walkers. Liz @ PupTales is awesome! We found her while looking for a 2nd pet sitter, as our primary pet sitters were not available during a weekend trip out of town. She was more than willing to share references, credentials, etc, and to come by for an introduction with our dog on short notice. Our dog loved her right away and we have used her services a handful of times then since. We know he is always in good hands and we love the Instagram updates that she does frequently. She is very diligent and even leaves a report card for your pet while you were away. You can tell she really cares for your pet and we definitely appreciated that!
