I ordered an arrangement from Preston Flowers through Telaflora since I live in Hawaii, as a surprise for my son & daughter-in-law's Gender Reveal Shower.  There was an issue that prompted me to call the shop.  I have to say, that this shop and Candi not only resolved the issue quickly, but went above and beyond to make it right, and the arrangement was gorgeous.  I will be ordering directly from them when it comes time for more arrangements.  They are definitely the go-to-flower shop for all your arrangements/occasions. I love this flower and gift shop. I am the manager of the shop and I make sure all of our flowers are fresh and beautiful!  We are family owned and treat our employees and our clients as family as well. I just called Preston Flowers from Amsterdam (The Netherlands) to order flowers for my friend in NC. I had the absolute pleasure to have Mr. Nick Ross on the phone whom went above and beyond to make sure my friend will have her flowers even today. I was their first customer from The Netherlands and Nick was honest to me about this which made waiting a little so they would sort it out perfectly ok. We were unhappy with the offerings and service we found with florists closer to us . No one could help us on such short notice We had a simple order, just a prom corsage. preston flowers took care of us on our wedding day. they have a diverse inventory of flowers, we were able to pick all the colors we needed. Candy worked with us to fill out the form to get the correct number of bouquets and butaniers for our family. they also took care of the baskets for the flower girls and an extra bouquet for the toss. the arch and centerpieces for the reception were breathtaking. highly recommended! It is so rare to have a company that believes in customer service and cares about people. There was a mix-up/mistake with a 1800Flowers order, and to fix it, Preston Flowers sent the most amazing arrangement. I had originally posted a negative review because I had contacted 1800Flowers (when I probably should have contacted them directly) and was not happy with their answer. After reading my review, the manager immediately went to work to fix things. The very next day, an amazing JAW DROPPING arrangement was sent. In this day and age of customer service, I expected to leave my negative review and that would be that. The fact that they not only fixed it, but went so far above and beyond seriously made a sad day a little better. I've used them many times to deliver in Cary NC. Not once have they delivered before 1 pm even though the purchase was made sometimes a day in advance. The $12 delivery fee and the late (for me) in the WORK day deliveries area deal breaker for me. The delivery arrived today at 2:40 pm.I believe that people that buy for a loved one at work would love for those flowers to be there BEFORE midday, and a nearly 12 dollar fee to drive it 5 miles should ensure that once in a while they would do so. Yeah yeah I know, they deliver all over, that IS my point, would be nice to have a place that delivers in the mornings too rather than waiting for a "full truck" to optimize delivery profit margins.The entire delivery at work is a ritual and any one that has had one knows it can have a lifting effect on someone, but waiting till nearly 3 pm is like .. why bother, ya know? Maybe they should have a method whereby a customer can monitor delivery or maybe to select priority delivery for a fee.I've used Preston flowers for YEARS, and will have to shop for a new place as delivery at nearly 3 pm is a no go for my application. UPDATE 2: the manager fully refunded my mom's money AND sent ME another arrangement, which was not a run of the mill boring arrangement. It was really beautiful.  Thank you Cindy, the manager at Preston Flowers.  I now updated my review to 4 stars.  UPDATE: the manager contacted me and fully refunded my mother's money, sincerely apologized for what happened and I believed her apology.  I will give them another shot in the future and I have revised my rating from a 1 to a 3 accordingy. I received flowers my mom and dad who splurged MAJORLY on me to mark a very very very solemn and special occasion for me - my first wedding anniversary after my husband passed away.  He died only a few weeks before our wedding anniversary. I was completely disgusted with the ENTIRE experience she had with Preston Flowers.  I am writing this review because she doesn't like conflict.  I don't like conflict, but I am not going to stand by and watch my mom get taken advantage of!   First, when my mom came to pick it up, it did not have ANY of the specific flowers that she requested (orchids).  She ordered several days ahead of time, so there was MORE than enough time to CALL her to tell her that type of flower was not available (although they should have said that when she ordered it if it wasn't).  But instead, she came to get it and there was NONE of my favorite flower that she specifically PAID for and requested.  And SHE had to notice and tell the checkout person.  My mom paid EXTRA for orchids.  And didn't get them. ON TOP OF THAT, the flowers looked like shit.  They were wilting and brown.  Mom mentioned this meekly (she is very shy, I am not, can you tell?!) and they replaced the wilting ones while she waited with a few calla Lillies.  My mom then paid for them, asking for a refund for the orchids and they told her "no, because we used premium calla Lillies to substitute".  Well, she didn't ASK for "premium" calla Lillies.  She wanted orchids.  They are my favorite.  But my mom didn't stand her ground and demand a partial refund.  She just paid the entire $100 (which was outrageous for what they gave her/me).  Then as she was leaving, someone came up to her and apologized further, said it was a new designer that screwed up, and offered to send a bouquet to my mom's house to apologize.  (Which a day later, they did).  But.In the less than 6 hours it took from pick up the bouquet she bought for me to actually visiting me, the flowers wilted further and looked at best ..... ok (and that is being kind).  I took photos, I time-date-stamped all of the photos on my phone for proof, but I can't figure out how to attach them to my review.  However, suffice it to say I was ..... underwhelmed.  Now, let's do a comparison shall we?  Another friend got me flowers for the same occasion, TWO DAYS BEFORE that but, from Water Garden, a Raleigh florist.  For a LOWER price, their flowers were GORGEOUS, had my favorite flowers in them (in abundance - orchids - and anyway, how are you, a FLORIST, out of ORCHIDS in the spring And if there was some huge rush on them, she ordered orchids 4 days ahead!  If you were out, go to damn Harris Teeter which is literally in your same shopping complex, buy a $14.99 plant of them, they are in wild abundance right now, and cut them into the bouquet!).  I also have photos of the Water Garden flowers that same day.  And, next.  But then to make it all even better, within 48 hours, the Preston Flowers bouquet 100% died.  FLAT OUT DIED.  I have photos of that too, time date stamped. Roses wilted and browned, other flowers all just fell over.  I have ordered and received many flowers as a 49 year old woman in my life.  I have never had even a grocery store $10 bouquet completely just DIE in less than 48 hours.  Again for reference, it is now TEN days later and the Water Garden bouquet is not only alive and well, it looks the same.  I would swear it was not real flowers if I didn't personally fill up the water myself every day.  I told my mom this and she refuses to let me march in there to get a full refund for her.  She doesn't like conflict and would feel embarrassed.  I don't like conflict for the sake of conflict, but this person is on a fixed income, splurged HEAVILY on something for a truly SACRED occasion for me.  My husband DIED and then 6 weeks later, it was our wedding anniversary. THIS is the occasion you effed up Preston Flowers.  I have lived in Preston for 17 years.  I have ordered from you before here and there.  I won't again.  And trust me, no one I know ever will again and I'm spreading this story far and wide on my neighborhood FB page and anywhere I can.  You really, really blew it. I always feel florists are over priced, but who can resist fresh cut flowers? There's plenty to see in Preston flowers, nick nacks to put in your yard or window as well as a huge array of flowers. I didn't know what I wanted when I arrived but had a $ figure in mind. The sales team helped me pick out and arrange the bouquet. Super colorful with spring flowers. I ordered flowers from 1800Flowers and Preston Flowers was the florist to deliver the flowers (their name was on the card). What was delivered was not what was ordered. UPDATED REVIEW: I ordered flowers via 1800Flowers for a family visitation and funeral. What was delivered was not what was ordered. I should have called Preston Flowers instead of 1800 Flowers to fix. After reading my review and seeing the picture, they sent a HUGE gorgeous arrangement that was probably worth three times what I paid for.My advice is if you see something on one of those flower ordering sites, call a local florist and place the order directly with them. Candy, the designer, and the other very attentive staff, worked with me and my tiny budget to create four nice centerpieces for my mom's 100th birthday luncheon. They also came up with a low-cost way to have fresh flowers, instead of fake ones, attached to the tulle I had planned to wrap around the chairs. All the ladies do a great job of making creative, beautiful arrangements with fresh flowers. They really do try and understand what client expectations are so that they can meet or exceed them. They are not the cheapest I have seen, but if you are budget conscious, you probably would be shopping grocery store floral shops for grab and go bouquets. More...
