Food here is very tasty, the employees are nice and food is ready quickly. It's a couple dollars more expensive than some other places for pizza and calzones but it's not a chain so not surprising. The one irritating thing is that prices are not clearly labeled anywhere on their website so you can't tell what prices are for anything unless you go get a paper menu from the store. I have been going to Pizzoli's since I moved into the neighborhood almost four years ago.  Overall, the food is higher quality than typical take-out places.  The pizzas are a bit pricier than at the chain restaurants, but you get what you pay for - the ingredients are much higher quality and the combinations they offer are delicious (I'm a huge fan of the roasted red pepper & portobello mushroom one).  I also regularly get the chicken cheesesteak, which is delicious.  The french fries are excellent, too.  I also really like the people at Pizzoli's.  They are friendly, and they always ask me how I am doing and chat with me while I wait for my food.  The character of a place means a lot to me, and I always get treated kindly when I go in.  It's a nice neighborhood place. This is my first ever Yelp review. I am writing it because this is my neighborhood pizzeria and I am annoyed that they only have 3 stars! I regularly order take out which is ready in 10-15 minutes. I think their pizza is delicious. I recommend trying the Portabella.  There is something they do with their sauce that really outclasses any generic pizza brands (it has flavor!). Skip the fancy All Purpose Pizza hype and order from a family-run corner business. The shop itself is no-frills, but has a nice patio out front. Pizza is delicious. Definately a splurge on pizza place though. Other than that, no complaints here. We always still order from here when we want "gourmet" type pizza in the area. Staff is always super nice and pizza is always great. This review involved delivery service for a group with varying tastes. Very detailed and efficient on-line ordering. Wide selection of items to meet the needs of a vegan, a vegetarian, and several carnivores - also representing three generations. Very good, fresh pizza, and fast! Me and 3 others ordered a 16" Hunger Buster and it was amazing.  I don't personally like black olives or sausage so I picked most of those off my slices. These guys are good enough that they are on my iPhone faves list, right under my best friend. I like that their pizza sauce is not your average red sauce - it's got a little bite to it, some spice, and very hearty. The pepperoni pizza never disappoints and I think the mozzarella sticks are 10/10. This is the BEST vegan pizza I've ever eaten! I recently went there with my friend and her children and we ordered a pizza with olive and artichoke and another with mushroom and eggplant. Came to pizzolis after another local restaurant and bar couldnt serve our group because they ran out of food (at 6 pm on inauguration weekend after the women's march). Thank you Pizzolis. Tonight, I ordered a gyro platter with triple the meat (I like to have the meat for my weekends) but when I got my order, there was NO triple meat, in fact, there were only small slivers of meat sitting atop a mound of lettuce. I immediately called back and the person on the phone was very nice and immediately said they would send my meat. What they did was replace the entire order (this time adding the extra meat).The delivery person apologized profusely and he was very nice. Thanks Pizzolis! This is the best delivery pizza in the area. Their ingredients are organic and the pizzas are great. VERY vegetarian friendly. Very creative toppings (the roasted eggplant is particularly tasty). The subs are also solid: very fresh and you can add tons of toppings (including caramelized onions, sun dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers). Delivery has always been consistently fast. We decided to order in after a very long and exhausting day exploring DC. We ordered a white pie with Italian sausage and a farmers market pizza. This place is so convenient to our condo and their pizza is superb. We have only ordered the extra large thin crust pepperoni.
