Pipe Works Home Services

Pipe Works does a lot of business on our street. I called them to install a new boiler heating system in our house. They gave me a estimate which we found was at the low end of several estimates. We selected Pipe Works and they did an excellent job of installing a new boiler. They put tarps down of the floors and cleaned everything up after the installation. Chris and Shakil arrived on time on the date we had agreed and worked a VERY long day to finish the installation. We are very satisfied with the new boiler.Kayla who answer our calls to Pipe Works is a excellent representative of the company. She took care of every request we made quickly and to our complete satisfaction. Kayla got action and went where ever needed to get action for us. You only need to talk to Kayla to make it happen ASAP.The service employees who installed and serviced us were Chris, Pablo, and Shakil. I always appreciate the fast appts with this company & the good conversation. It’s not like talking to someone who is just there to sell you products. They understand your needs, address concerns & always answer all questions. My heat took a dump over the summer, I called and they came out within a few days (before it got cold otherwise I’m sure it would have been faster) and within a week the new furnace was installed (I actually left the door open for them and wasn’t home so I didn’t miss work, came home as if nobody was there - no mess, nothing). Pipe Works Services has come out to my home a few times before. Recently, we had them replace a bathroom sink waste pipe. The technician was very professional and knowledgeable . The technician found that the problem was a little more extensive than he had thought at first but was still able to complete the work very quickly with the materials he had on hand. The work turned out fine and we definitely would recommend the company to others. Pipe Works Services was very quick to respond to our call. It started out a little bit difficult when we initially made the call as we got switched over to the answering service. The operator was clueless and just going through their script. But once the office called me back, we got the appointment set up just fine. As for pricing, my husband was really the one who handled all of that when the technician was finished and went over the bill with him. Since we did not make any formal comparison to other companies out there, plus the fact that we have used them before, tells me that their pricing has to be reasonable or we would not have used them again. Pipe Works Services has always done stellar work for me each time I have used them. They came out recently to fix a water heater. When I called the office to schedule the appointment I told the girl I spoke with that I had misplaced my discount card and she said she would call me back to work something out but I am guessing without having the physical card that I cannot get the discount. I do feel, however, that it is nice they offer discount cards and coupons to offset the pricing. Their technicians are prompt and efficient. They are able to assess what the problem is quickly and efficiently. They take the time to explain their findings from the assessment as well as what they can do to fix it. They also take the time to answer any questions I have. They are efficient and respectful of our home. They have always done good work for us so I will continue to use Pipe Works Services! More...

When the A/C died amid a heat wave, the utility company finally furnished a written estimate five days later. I found the estimate extreme. Pipe Works sent a highly knowledgeable tech to my home the same day that I called and furnished a much less expensive estimate for a superior system on the spot. Christopher Tapia and his team from Pipe Works installed a gas boiler for me. This was the best experience I have ever had hiring a utility service.
From Tom the sales person to Christopher and his team I can't say enough good things. Christopher had to change all the plumbing around and install the new gas boiler in such a way that it would be easier to get at and remove the hot water heater at a future time.
I did get another estimate for this work from PS&G which was $1,300.00 more than Pipe Works.

I was very pleased with the service provided by Pipe Works to replace my heating and air conditioning system. Robert, the system design specialist, was extremely professional and answered all my questions and concerns during the initial consultation. Since my 30 year old central air stopped working, he also provided me with a portable ac unit that we were able to use in my living room while I awaited delivery and installation. I felt that was a nice added perk and showed the company’s commitment to their customers. The installation team was also great and they explained the entire new system to me. Pipe Works Services has always done a phenomenal job for us! This was not our first time using their services. We keep going back to them because their customer service is excellent and their workmanship is fantastic! Everything is seamless from start to finish with them! When I call for an appointment the staff is friendly and accommodating. They are able to schedule appointments quickly. Plus, their pricing is reasonable. We had them come out recently to install a new air conditioner. Everything turned out great. The technicians were prompt, polite and professional. When they came out to assess the unit first they were able to do the assessment quickly and effectively. They took plenty of time to explain their findings from the assessment to me as well as telling me what needed to be done. They also took the time to answer the questions I had for them. When they work they are very meticulous. They put down carpets over where they walk in the house, they wear booties, they clean up their work area, they do a wonderful job! Our HVAC system broke on one of the hottest week of the summer. Pipework provided a temporary window AC unit and quickly came to give an estimate and schedule the work. The crew Shakil, Odin and Jose did an amazing job in replacing 2 HVAC systems. They arrived early, they protected our floors. They were organized, they worked very efficiently and took the time to check the systems carefully before leaving. Even though there was an unexpected need for an electrician intervention, this work was added smoothly to the job and didn't delay its completion within the same day. We were happy with the quick response we received from Pipe Works. The tech fixed the problem in about 30-45 minutes. The fee, however was almost $300 for unclogging a bathtub drainpipe! I wish we had had time to shop around for pricing, but we didn't. They were unable to give us an estimate over the phone even though when we got the bill there seemed to be set prices for jobs that were done. Expensive but efficient. More...

My experience yesterday was so so good. My kitchen sprayer was broken and the only water I could get was through the sprayer. Pipe works sent Fedi out within hours. He was able to disconnect sprayer and also removed my garbage disposal. ( Condo Association had just told us we could not have them). Then he was able to fix the bathroom mixing valve with the new part he had ordered

From start to finish pipe works is committed to excellence. I checked out reviews on angies list. They were all positive. I called and within minutes received a call back . The receptionist was pleasant and courteous. She scheduled me as the next appointment. Again within minutes the receptionist called and said the technician was on his way. 20 minutes later the doorbell rang. The technician introduced himself. I brought the tech. downstairs to assess the damage. he went over the problem and how he can fix it. He explained in detail what he was going to do and how much this would cost. The tech. showed me on the camera the clog and how he was going to remove this. The project went well. He was courteous,knowledgeable,customer friendly and considerate. I will definitely recommend. The technician arrived on time for the estimate. There was some confusion concerning the type of air cleaner I wanted ( probably due to differing terminology perceptions). He brought up the product tech data sheets for most electronic air cleaners and we were able to find the type I had in mind and scheduled an installation appointment. for the following Monday.

For about fifteen years I have been using Pipe Works Services regularly. I cannot say enough positive things about them. When I began with them I lived in a private home. Over the course of the years, they have done just about every type of service for me. They had replaced my entire heating system, air conditioning unit, plumbing and repairs to my bathroom, plus the regular routine maintenance checkups. Then I moved to a brand new condominium and still use them. I have a semi-annual maintenance contract with them where they come out twice a year and check over everything. They recently did a diversion in the shower. There is not too much in repairs to be done here at a new place, unlike the older home that I used to have. But I will continue using them and their regular checkup program. The technicians are always very polite, courteous and knowledgeable. They show up on time right when they say they are going to and do exactly what they explain they are going to do. Even during an emergency situation, you can call them up and they have someone out to you within the next hour or two. They are amazing! Pipe Works came out to my home roughly a year ago to handle a pretty big job. We'd just bought the house and there was a leak underground coming into the house from the main water line that comes in from the street. Pipe Works was professional, friendly, competent and prompt. Every aspect of the work was effectively communicated from the start of the job to the finish. I write this now a year later, because, for one, I never left them a review for their phenomenal service and second, over the past few weeks, I've dealt with complete and utter incompetence from almost every "professional" service in my life. Between absolutely awful general contractors, brokers, landscapers and restaurants, I feel like I'm going insane. Rather than writing everyone bad reviews, I felt like I wanted to channel my rage more positively and recognize a business that actually KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING. This was not our first time using Pipe Works Services. In years past I dealt directly with the owner. In recent years it seems that I deal more with the staff. They recently came out to do the de-winterization of the property. Of all the outdoor pipeworks I did notice a broken pipe when he took the materials off. Everything else was tight and this one even as he started to remove it was loose. He said nothing. I asked him to check it out (since he had moved on without checking it). He went back to it and said it was broken and would be $300 to repair it. Within this same process, I also noted that there was no water going to the outside shower and there was a leak near the hot water heater. He again did not seem to want to address these things until I pointed them out and brought it up again at the end of the inspection when he wanted me to sign off on his visit. I did not sign off so he had to go look at the other two things I found. It almost seems like they are there for their paychecks and going through the motions because they show up on time and are respectful but they are not willing to go the extra steps to be "great" like the company used to be. Superior Customer Service !! We wanted to change our nearly 13 year old 40 gallon gas water heater, My husband and I wanted this changed before it failed. I called Pipework's known for it excellence in customer service. Instantly Ms.Tricia Bruno scheduled a service call time window for the very next day. NOW THAT'S SERVICE!!! Ms. Bruno called to let me know then service men would be at my home to install the water heater and water softener with in 10 minutes. Upon arrival at approximately 10:03 AM, Washington and Shakil were , very courteous and professional. Explaining all . The repairs were more in depth than Washington and Shakil expected but they stayed with it and finally finished the replacement of the water heater and installed the water softener system. Then showed me how everything worked, explained warrantees and went through the set up of the system before they left as well as cleaning up the room. If there is an employee of the year award, Washington or Shakil should certainly receive it. Also, Ms. Bruno, who initially called me to schedule the appointment was just as courteous and helpful with more knowledge then anyone could want. Pipe Works Services did a really good job for me! This was my first time using them. I saw one of their trucks while I was out shopping so I wrote down their number and gave them a call. I had them come to fix a drain that was clogged. Everything turned out fine. The worker who came out, Mike, was pleasant, informative, efficient and did a good job. He showed up on time, he was respectful of my home and after he assessed the problem he explained what was wrong and what he could do to fix it. He also took the time to answer any of the questions I had. Their pricing was fair and their timeliness is good. Overall it was a good experience and I would use them again.
