OMG I felt like I was back in Jamaica with how good the food tastes! Highly recommend!
Good food, good music, good people!

GOOD FOOD GOOD MUSIC NICE STAFF
great friendly service and good food
Beautiful space. I have only attended events here, never rented space. So I don't know if the staff is hired or full time. But they were pretty good both times I was here. I know booking this center is very spendy but for the right consumer - I don't know if it gets much better in the Twin Cities. More...
S u per cool event Center.
Fast casual place. Had the Jerk Chicken Bowl with the MN nice sauce that had a good spicy kick and chicken was moist even without sauce. Ambiance is chill.
My partner brought me here for one of my birthday weekend dinners and I wasn't disappointed. Lots of flavor, the goat was tender, the coconut rice and plantains were all delicious. I'm not a big coleslaw fan so he ate it for me. They have a bar next door which was new and the goat was a new addition to their menu. The staff was friendly and checked in on us and overall it was a fantastic experience! I will absolutely be all for going more, and hopefully hitting up their bar (I think it's a rum bar) More...
Really nice venue. But it was crazy hot in there.
The best Rum Punch in town!! Dope music, dope staff, just dope
Came here because my friend said they have the best goat curry. At first I thought it was a bit expensive, but holy crap they give you so much. I'd say it's a pretty good deal, considering that one plate would probably last you two meals. The goat was tender and the curry was flavorful :) Would recommend to others. More...
My husband and I had our wedding reception at Aria in August 2019 and had an amazing experience. Our event manager, Brett, was very knowledgeable and great to work with. She made the planning process easy! Our reception was a blast and our guests had nothing but amazing things to say about the venue. More...
We had a brunch style wedding here at the end of August 2019, and we could not be more happy with how our day turned out! Everything was perfect and our event manager Esteban was amazing, went over and beyond with little details, very friendly, easy to work with and just made sure everything was just the way we wanted it. We told him our budget and he made suggestions that stuck within that budget. I could rave and go on about the Aria and the team!!! Made it even better when our guest raved about our wedding and food too (Deco). Looking for a unique wedding, this is the place. We got some photos back and are blown away by them as well! Thank you ARIA for making a dream wedding come true! More...
Very authentic, really good food!
ARIA is an absolute dream! We chose ARIA as the ceremony & reception venue for our August 17th wedding. The entire experience from planning to wedding day was an absolute dream. Esteban was our event manager and I cannot say enough good things about him! He is a rockstar and is so polite, friendly and considerate! We could relax and enjoy every second of our wedding day because the team at ARIA had everything covered. Amazing venue. Thank you for giving us the event of a lifetime! More...

Delicious food and friendly service. Had the boneless jerk chicken. Love the Minnesota Nice Sauce. Comes with great sides. Highly recommend!

Great food and cool place.
Excellent food. Great atmosphere.
One of the best venues in town!
A simple menu well-executed! The jerk spice is robust and balanced. The rice and peas (coconut rice and beans) is spot on! I also had the curry goat and was THRILLED to find such excellent island food in the Twin Cities. I did not get a chance to try the meat patties, but I WILL be back! I would love to see ROTI on the menu (I know it is not 'really' Jamaican). If you do not like the food at Pimiento, then you do not like authentic Jamaican fare. Keep up the GREAT work! More...

I cannot say enough good things about Pimento. We had a large group for my birthday and everything from the food (I'm already craving more Kingston Kick sauce and patties), staff and their service, live music, and whole vibe was ABOVE AND BEYOND. The food is delicious...love the curried veggies. Service is typically fast, portions are large, and the price is reasonable. Highly recommend stopping by!

Good food, great price, esp on a bottle of Red Stripe.
Amazing food great music! ❤️
Awesome, awesome food! Tasty, strong drinks!
Relaxed fun atmosphere, authentic Jamaican food, daily drink specials, great music!!!
We had our small, 100 guest, wedding ceremony and reception at Aria and it was wonderful! All our guests were blown away by the amazing space. I was thankful for the helpful planning staff that helped me with decision making and asking the questions I hadn't yet thought to ask. My husband is a fan of craft beers and we had no problem personalizing the beer selection for the bar with local Minnesotan options. It was a big hit with our out of town guests. The staff that worked the day our wedding were experienced and professional. The neighborhood, the North Loop, is hip, trendy, and safe. There is lots of parking available through several parking garages and lots within a few blocks. More...
First time coming here for lunch & what brought me in was how vibrant it was. You walk in & the menu is listed up making it easy to order! I had the Coco bread sandwich which comes with chicken, cole slaw, sweet plantainsAs well as the boneless jerk chicken that comes with rice, beans, & sweet plantains. They were packed with flavor & if you are someone that loves some spice this is for you! There are also some choices that don't have spice. The chicken was incredibly seasoned well & everything worked together! It's such a fun & great place to try out. I must say there playlist is also pretty fire! You will want to dance while eating your food no doubt! Can't wait to come here again! More...
This place was bomb with an open garage door entrance and cool high ceilings welcoming you. I got the jerk chicken bowl with spicy ranch and it was pretty solid. Great portions and flavors. I tried out the southern style peach cobbler and wouldn't really recommend. It didn't bring me back to my Virginia southern style of eating More...

We love Aria! The chandeliers in this venue really take the cake, just take a look at the photos of this beautiful venue, they speak for themselves!
Was looking for some authentic Jamaican found and i found it everything was delicious!!
This is one of my favorite places. Aweso.e Jamacian food, friendly staff and a cool patio with live music. I will be back.
Delicious food and drinks! I definitely will be back.
I don't even think we need to give a review to Aria because once you see it in person, you'll be blown away. It's absolutely gorgeous and you can do anything in the space. You don't even have to use a bunch of decorations because it's so beautiful on its own. The staff there was great to work with and made everything so easy. They do this every day, and it was so nice to be able to take a step back and let them do what they do best and not have to stress. We absolutely recommend Aria!! More...
Food: The food was all well flavored with a little kick. My sandwich came piled with chicken and slaw - though my favorite part was the Coco bread. My boyfriend got the One Love Bowl which was incredible and will be what I order next time. It's the perfect mixture of all their menu items and flavors: Chicken, Pork, Rice, Beans, slaw, plantains. The wings had a tasty dry rub. They make their own sauces and both were a good addition to the food (MN Nice and the Neutralizer). The only thing I didn't love was their Jamaican patty. Despite reading tons of reviews and seeing all these pictures on Yelp, I felt the filling was lacking.Venue: This place has a great vibe. With a huge garage door that opens up to the street, vibrant decor, a bar and stage with live music and a big and bright patio, it's easy to forget you're in Minnesota. More...

great place to experience!!!
luv it..the Jerk chicken is authentic..
I have stayed here three times thus far. Rooms have been nice. It's a good location on the strip and easily accessible for ubers or shuttles if you are on a work trip.
Nice contemporary venue.
I have worked with the Aria team for several weddings now and they efficiently know how to flip the room from ceremony to a nice dinner reception all while guests enjoy cocktails in the foyer. The space has the industrial vibe but can also be dressed up with draping, chandeliers, uplighting and hanging floral installations. I have seen so many creative designs in this space.I look forward to working with the Aria team again in the future! More...

Interesting large event space that can easy adapt to a lot of different events
Amazing music and rum punch !!
The Aria made all my daughters dreams come true! Absolutely perfect evening. The entire preparations went without flaw. Sarah and Bret were on top of any and all wishes. The friends and families that all traveled were completely awed by the venue and attention to detail. The Aria deserving 10 stars if possible! More...
Quite the interesting place with a unique kick in terms of the sauce they offer...though I've only tried their signature Kingston and Minnesota Nice sauce. The spice level is a bit stronger than what I'm used to but it's also the kind that the has such a good flavor in it you just can't stop eating! However, the side that comes along is sorta bland (Yes, I'm looking at you Ol' Bore Coleslaw) thus the 4-star. Otherwise, I recommend everyone to try this place at least once just for a tryout! Very impressed! Had the One Love Special and it had the right balance of spicy and sweet. The pork and chicken were seasoned perfectly. The rice and beans gave your pallet a cleanse from the heat! Can't wait to go back! Good prices as well! More...

As a wedding planner in the Minneapolis community, I highly recommend ARIA Mpls as one of our top choices for event venues for our clients. I recently had the opportunity to work our first wedding at ARIA Mpls and I was so happy with my experience! Esteban, the Event Manager did an amazing job and was so kind, helpful, and professional in all communication and planning leading up to the wedding. On the day of the event, Esteban was super awesome in ensuring that I had everything that I needed to ensure all of our coordination duties were able to be completed efficiently. On top of that, the entire team at ARIA Mpls gave 5 star service. I hope to work with ARIA Mpls again in the future and will absolutely be referring ARIA Mpls to as many clients as possible! More...

Delicious food, ambiance, ppl watching, music excellent.
excellent food, very friendly staff will definitely be back !!!
Nice venue for music, friendly staff.
The people that work there is just fabulous
Nothing I say here will do any justice to how pleased I was to eat here. If I am going to eat food inspired from other parts of the globe, I want them to be as authentic as possible, and that is exactly what I received. Because there were so many appealing options, I decided on the One-Love Special, which is jerk chicken, jerk pulled pork, fried plantains, cabbage, rice and beans. You can choose between a variety of sauces to add to your protein, and I choose "Kingston hot". It definitely was haha. I am a huge spice lover, and this was making me sweat. So if not accustomed to higher levels of heat, tame yours down. Even the rice and beans had a little kick to them. This chicken and pork were so juicy and tasty that I almost ordered seconds. The plantains seemed to be a little dull to me, but they were never going to steal the show anyway. But DO DO DO try the coco (think coconut) bread. It's sweet, fluffy, and delicious. Staff were awesome and friendly, definitely helpful. And the place itself is really chill. A repurposed garage door opens up to the street to allow the nice weather in when appropriate. I will definitely be back, and for those of you who haven't, give it a try! More...
I ordered the chicken and pulled pork combo and the food was delicious. I also added the extra hot sauce. The sauce was not too hot but still hot enough that caused me to consume two cans of iced coke.
Beautiful venue. Add a little or add a lot and this place is amazing.
Great venue for important events and parties. Went there for a wedding and it was perfectly organized. The space for the ceremony was large but did not feel too disperse (it wasn't a big wedding), then we were moved to the area right at the entrance for the drinks while the tables were getting organized. During the dinner, service and food were impeccable , they were able to simultaneously serve everyone (about 150 people)! Very well organized! More...
Very nice ambience. We were at a wedding. Long waiting before the ceremony and the serving of the dinner which was simple but good! Nice dancing be too!?
First time trying Jamaican food with my cousin and it was flavorful and filling!!

Great food and an occasional great live band or dj
I am so glad I came here! I had never had Jamaican food before and this was a great introduction. I walked in with a friend and several of the employees were waiting to help us with the menu! They were very welcoming and suggested amazing food. The lady at the counter had such a great attitude I want to be her friend! I had some super spicy honey pineapple wings and we grabbed a seat at the bar. They were showing "Coming to America" on a projector. The bartender was awesome too. Helped me to figure out what drink I wanted and made it so I would taste more fruit than alcohol (call me crazy). It honestly felt like I was eating and watching a movie with family. Everyone was so great, the environment is awesome, and there is so much diversity. I highly recommend this place, even for a quiet Tuesday night! More...
Get the curried veggies if you're a vegetarian or even if you're not. It's amazing! I loved the Minnesota nice sauce. I've been here twice now and I had the same mouthwatering experience both times. The first time there was even live music. I cannot recommend this place enough! It's a gem. More...
best ever! love everything they serve.
The food is absolutely fantastic!! I really love how they have an all you can eat buffet on Sundays! It's a great way to start a morning breakfast on a beautiful Sunday. I highly encourage people to visit the location. They have very friendly employees and being there feels like being at home. The restaurant comes off to be very cultural and it is such a beautiful culture. The food is always hot, warm and ready. It's a great way to meet new people. I adore the music that is played there and the backyard they have at the back of the restaurant as a chilling lounge is incredible. I LOVE IT!! Again I highly recommend people to go and visit. It is very educational! More...
This place is great! We went there for the first time and had the Kingston style jerk chicken and the one love special (jerk chicken and pork). The prices were average but the meal was very filling! We both tried the jerk ranch as the sauce and it was amazing with just the right amount of spicy kick. Parking on Eat Street can be a pain, but it's worth it if you're in the area. They also do delivery through, I think, BiteSquad. We saw a lot of drivers picking up orders. More...

Simply delicious. The beef patties are out of this world. Thinking of the jerk chicken makes my mouth water as I'm writing this. The environment is fun although the music can be too loud at times. Love this place! One of my Jamaican friends brought me here for lunch in the summer (they pull the garage doors up to let the fresh air in). They had on some good reggae when I went. I highly recommend the jerk chicken bowl, curry chicken bowl and the one love special. Great flavor and nice and spicy! Can't go wrong with the jerk sauce or the MN Nice Sauce - haven't tried any others yet but plan to! This place is great for a quick bite to eat - service is fast, you just place your order at the counter and they'll bring your food out to you in about 10 minutes. 9/10 More...

Great tasty food - loved it. Love heat but the Neutralizer sauce was great for those who prefer less heat.
I was so looking forward to good Jamaican food and with the help of Yelp, I discovered this place! It's a small, local shop offering the usuals like braised oxtails, jerk chicken (boneless and bone-in), jerk pork, and curry goat. They have coco bread as a side and a few sauces to fit any palette. All orders come with a slaw, fried plantains, and rice and beans. I got the oxtails and they were good. My boyfriend got the jerk chicken and jerk pork, both also very good. He also got the kill dem wid it sauce which is the hottest on the menu and he said it was super spicy but also super good! The portions are on the larger side and is definitely filling. Overall, the flavor was a little more "spiced" than I'm used to (cinnamon, clove/allspice, etc) but still tasty! The night we went, happened to have a DJ next door that was spinning (horribly) which killed the vibe in the restaurant because it was so LOUD! Maybe stop in during the day or on a weeknight. More...
This restaurant exceeded my expectations by FAR. I did not expect to enjoy this meal as much as I did. I was debating between the chicken or pork, and finally decided on pork. My friend ended up getting the chicken so we could try them both, and both of them were amazing. The fried plantains were good, the coleslaw was good, and the pork was so tasty and just melts in your mouth! You can also choose which sauce you want! My friend got the jerk ranch and I got the "kill dem wid it". Both sauces were good, but I will have to warn you that if you can't handle spicy food, the latter is definitely not for you! It was much hotter than I had expected, but really good! Anyway, Pimento Jamaican Kitchen was amazing, and you will definitely not regret eating here! More...
This is one of those reclaimed old warehouses and has plenty of space and an old/new look. The pic is from the event held there and not indicative of the actual decor.
Excellent Jamaican food. The place is wonderfully simple with a roll up door for an entrance to still be part of the street life while dining.
Great food. Great bar. Even on a weekday.

I must have gone to Pimento once before they introduced their veggie curry bowl. It's hands-down one of the best dishes I've had. I'm daydreaming about the next time I'll get to go back and enjoy it.As for location and establishment; parking can be a little tough to find but it's well worth the trip. Staff are friendly and the restaurant is really relaxed and comfy. More...
I've had food at the restaurant and food truck. It is consistent in quality and service. I visited on a weekday late afternoon. The restaurant has on-street parking and shared off-street parking. The restaurant has an overhead garage door to help enjoy the warmer days. The space was clean. Walking up, I wasn't sure where to enter, and neither did the lady in front of me who had an insulated bag for her carry out order. Customers order at the counter where there is a large, overhead menu board. I ordered the Kingston style jerk bone-in chicken (the way to go for the most flavor) entree and One Love Special entree. The latter includes slow roasted pulled pork in addition to the chicken. Each came with plantains, Jamaican slaw and beans and rice. After choosing the Kill Dem Wid It sauce and receiving my carry out order, I decided to buy the extra jerk ranch sauce. It was given to me although my money was offered for payment. This level of generosity reminded me of that received at a Caribbean restaurant in Charlotte a few months ago. A common trait among Caribbean natives? I just know it wins me over. Although the meat didn't require sauce, who passes on sauce? The Kill Dem Wid It habanero sauce didn't overpower the jerked meat, which is important, but it added a serious kick. I also enjoyed the jerk ranch sauce. Again, their jerk preparation sings without sauce. While I was there, it appears a gentleman had a minor complaint. They gave him a big bowl of ice cream. I wished him good luck finishing it. He acknowledged the size of the dish and offered me some, but I had to get across town. Good people--business and customers. A winner. Highly recommended More...
Fun atmosphere, live music and really good food! Definitely will be back for the Jerk Chicken!!

This is my favorite place I’ve found since moving to the Twin Cities a couple years ago. Everything I’ve tried is so delicious. The manager was incredibly kind and friendly. I just feel at home here. I never would have guessed it, but I think the Curry Goat might be my favorite dish. It’s the first time I’ve tried goat. The curries are so flavorful. But it’s really hard to choose a favorite. Absolutely everything is great. I would eat here every day if I could. Thanks Pimento for being awesome! So happy to have found this place. More...

The Aria is an incredible venue for our event. Dope love the African/Jamaican vibe. Good people! Good times! Can’t wait to return!
I have ordered from this restaurant many times via ubereats. Jamaican food was introduced to me by my BF. I was hesitant when he order for me the first time but I loved it. I always like bone in meat. So he knew I will eat if chicken has bone in , that trick worked. The food this restaurant prepare is soo delicious! Our usual order include:Kingston style jerk chicken bone in - it comes with rice, beans, fried plantain and slaw. The chicken and the taste is sooo delicious. I love this dish. I don't eat plantain but my BF finishes those. Rating 5/5Sow roasted jerk pork - it also comes with rice , beans , fried plantain and slaw. I am not a pork lover but this rating is from my BF 5/5The meat is marinated with house-made signature sauce which is indeed unique.Taste : 5/5Quality:4/5 Nothing can go wrong with these dishes! Where do I even start?!? The Aria staff was an absolute pleasure to work with. We worked with Katey to plan our wedding ceremony and reception and the only way to describe her is as an easygoing mastermind. We planned our whole wedding from out of state and the process was a breeze. Emails and questions were responded to quickly and in a detailed manner. Any unknowns were quickly turned to answers and visions of a beautiful set-up. I can honestly say Katey kept us at ease the entire process and we never felt at a distance. In terms of the venue itself and the actual wedding day, it was perfect. The beautiful industrial interior makes it an easy canvas to create a unique and beautiful setting, but you need great staff as well. That is exactly what we got. The staff were timely, professional and extremely helpful. I can’t begin to tell you how many compliments we received from guests. Individuals from all over the US were in attendance and we heard nothing but positive feedback. A few individuals from out of town, who had never been to Minnesota, even went as far as saying they would have had their wedding at Aria if they would have known about it. Sending a HUGE thank you to Aria and the awesome staff, we couldn't be more pleased with how our wedding day turned out. This venue will forever be a very special place for my wife and I, we truly fell in love with it! More...

As the father of the bride, I wanted a special wedding for my daughter in all ways. From the beginning, it was apparent that Aria was the venue that could deliver "special" in a way that no other venue could. In addition to the facility being a special place, the quality of service contributed to a day without ANY negative drama - and that delivery of excellent service helped make the day extra-special. My biggest endorsement is - would I have my daughters wedding at Aria again? Most definitely!!! More...
Put simply: Aria is THE place for your special event. My partner and I got married at Aria in March and are still in the wonderful afterglow of it all. While Aria plans the bar and helps coordinate with a number of vendors, plan on hiring most of what you need from outside vendors (catering, decor, lighting, sound, music, flowers, etc.). Just know this: it's all worth it. Katey Naylor was our venue contact and we were really impressed with her professionalism. And she was so much fun. She advised on everything and always made us seem like we were her only wedding (she does 150+ herself every year). Your family and friends will be impressed with this space and you will be so thankful with your decision to chose it. More...
We had our wedding ceremony and reception there 2 weeks ago and it was the perfect venue! Many of our guests commented on how unique it was and the staff is fantastic. My wife and I were married here on July 30th 2016 and it was easily the best experience of our lives. Aria was a huge piece of why that was the case.
From beginning to end of the process, Katey, our Aria consultant was awesome. Katey was organized, listened to what we wanted, made great recommendations, and in the end, gave us a fairy tale wedding that far exceeded our expectations.
The day of our wedding, the staff was so friendly, so professional, and so courteous. They also make a great drink. This place is worth every single cent that you'll pay to have lifelong memories. I still can't get over how perfect our wedding was! Aria is so organized and easy to work with. They have a very good system to make sure you stay on top of planning, so that when they day comes, you don't have to worry about anything. It is a pricier venue, but they have all their prices clearly laid out so there are no surprises! They book up fast, which tells you one thing...it's the best place to get married! More...
Perfect. A lovely space, managed by great people, with style and wit, and nearby parking too.
I loved Aria.

Aria is an amazing venue!
Gorgeous, first of all! We got married here this past August. All of our guests commented on the space and still do! After we booked they added more and more chandeliers, which became the centerpiece for our wedding ceremony! The people at Aria were all about trying new things and creating interesting spaces. I never met any opposition to my ideas. Just support! We ended up doing our ceremony in the round in the lobby under the gorgeous chandeliers and it was perfect!
Jessica was our primary contact throughout and we loved working with her! She was very accommodating, relaxed and friendly. We live out of state and she even stayed late to let us show our family the venue during the holiday season. In fact, she was always open to let us come by and look around when we were in town. She was very flexible and helpful in making our vision happen. Plus she genuinely was excited about our ideas! I loved her laidback attitude. Even though she must be incredibly busy, she came across as relaxed which let us know she had everything under control! It was incredibly easy to talk to her!
The other staff we met were fantastic too! Michelle, who we booked with was very nice, Eyob the facility manager was so kind and friendly and Kelly, the bar manager, was very helpful meeting with us to figure out the drinks.
The day of the wedding was fantastic! We loved it. Our families loved it. And our guests loved it. We couldn’t have picked a better space for us! Thank you Aria, we are so happy to have our memories here! Great space, great people, great day!!! More...

Great venue! I attended the Cantus Idol concert there. Food was catered, not so lavish as I'd hoped for. Menus were tiered; some people got salad, entree, dessert; others entree, dessert; others dessert only. I would suggest adding salad to both the dinner portions!! Loved Maria Jette and Dan Chouinard, as well as Cantus group!! More...
There just last night for the Pinky Swear Gala. Nice space with great entry area for gift tables and open eclectic meeting space with plenty of room for event, mingling, eating, bars. And bathrooms were clean also!

I was here this weekend for a wedding. The venue was nothing less than astounding. It will be forever etched in my mind as one of the most beautiful venue's I have ever been to. The staff, food, and experience were amazing! More...
The most beautiful and amazing wedding venue I have ever been to, hands down, with an awesome and professional staff. Many thanks to Kastina Morrison at Aria, Laine Rasmussen at Blush and Whim, Meg Gilliland and Meghan Larsen at Chow Girls Catering, Andrew Tolzmann at Three Six Sound, and Laura at Cocoa and Fig for making our wedding day perfect and more beautiful than we could have ever imagined.
If you're looking for a gorgeous space that's also flexible, comfortable, AND comes complete with a ROCK STAR staff, look no further. From DAY ONE of our contact with ARIA we have been pleased with everything. We planned our September 2014 wedding and reception here and it was truly a once in a lifetime day. All of the snapshots from the guests are amazing from every angle. We had guests from all over the country that would not stop gushing about the aesthetics.
Kastina, the event manager, was delightful, excitable and wonderful to work with, offering insightful suggestions, referrals and advice. If I could do it all over again I wouldn’t change a thing. ABSOLUTELY perfect day and everyone there had an unforgettable evening. Thank you! More...
Exceptionally great food, friendly staff, and fun vibe. Oxtail and curry goat are phenomenal.
Food, Music, Venue...All Good!!!

Love the staff, atmosphere and food! Can’t wait to go back for more...
A+ plus good portions...............
The chicken falls off the bone and melts in your mouth. The staff is super friendly. 11/10
This was my 1st time there and I had a wonderful time.
I'm going to keep this simple: your taste buds will like this place. I ordered the braised ox-tail and my friend got the goatCurry The ox-tail plate is a complete solid dish: the meat was tender and well seasoned with a variety of spices similar to curry(savory, salty, spicy, a hint of sweetness from the bone), the slaw provided the crunchy texture, the plantain added the sweetness, and the brown rice provided the nutty and slightly chewy texture. I would order this dish again and again. The goat curry: all the spices that you expected in curry base are there, goat flavor was pronounced (could be too much for those who are not used to it), and the meat wasn't as tender compared to the braised ox-tail and it was too salty. They have a bar/dance floor/music room in a separate room if you don't want to eat in the main area.Don't care how to get here, just get here and come hungry!! More...
This place is so great! We wandered into the bar side after another place charged a cover and we just wanted a cocktail to end the night. So glad we did! Great crowd, friendly bartenders, strong drinks. There was a DJ who came on at 9:30 or 10 and was on point! With you awesome vibes, and cocktails between $9-$12, this is a new favorite spot for out of towners who want to dance, and in towners who want good food that turns into the dance party they didn't know was about to get turnt up! Yesssss! I love food with spice! Pimento in Minneapolis is a pretty legit Caribbean restaurant in my opinion. The menu includes everything from oxtails to jerk chicken to Jamaican patties. The drink list is pretty sweet too offering Ting, Kola, and Pineapple soda. We can't forget about the alcoholic drink list as well. I really enjoyed the rum punch. It comes in a small serving but it is quite strong. During this particular visit I had the curried veggie meal which included rice and beans, Caribbean slaw, and sweet plantains. I'm not a big coleslaw fan but this Caribbean slaw was great! It's not mayo based like regular coleslaw. The curried veggies were a tad sweet but very delicious! I appreciated the various options of hot sauce to order on the side. Various nights Pimento also hosts events (comedy shows, dj events, ect). I look forward to Pimento opening in St. Paul! More...
Delicious food and Drinks. Sad not have Oxtail again to buy. Internet connection is very bad. Recommend free WiFi to customers.
Kill dem wit fire! This place has the dayum best jerk sauce in town. One love.
I been here a few times and the food is great and the people are great It’s a nice place to eat and enjoy the music
Great food, kind staff great island sodas.
Lalala love it!!
And check it out on Mondays for a surprise!
Great and affordable. I get a dark and stormy in the rum bar next door while I wait for my take out.
This place is amazing! Best service I have had in a long time! Food came out fast and was excellent. Great open atmosphere despite construction. Thank you we will be back!
I’ve ordered takeout from here before, but yesterday was my first time dining in. Great atmosphere, service, and food! My son couldn’t get enough of the jerk chicken and plantains! More...
Stepping up, more and more. The wait staff give excellent customer service, the food is very yummy, and the entertainment is the best. Love having this, in the city. A little Jamaica haven! More...
My good god. Food is phenomenal, service is fantastic. They do spicy super well, but you’re not losing any flavor or experience by going more mild. So bomb.
I can’t say much for the food, but I’m sure it is fantastic! I stopped in the Rum Bar with my wife and Tony was incredibly personable and accommodating. He crafted one of the best drinks I have ever had! Ask him for the Jerry Mule (name pending) next time you come in! More...
Been here for the food, my favorite is the bone in chicken with the Jerk Ranch. Now with the addition of the Rum Bar and the backyard, the atmosphere has kicked up a few more notches. I highly recommend.
I had the boneless jerk chicken, my dad had the braised oxtail. Both meals were very good, however I was hoping for more beans in my rice and beans. My dad LOVED the oxtails, (?) not my thing but if you like oxtails you need to try this menu item!!
We were charged 75 cents for a teeny size sauce, not even close enough to cover the food. It was very good, but needed more in the little cup. I also ordered coco bread, I’ve had better but I’ll probably order it again because I love carbs!
Service was great, food was hot, and we got it fast. The front end staff seemed a bit disorganized but very friendly and didn’t really miss a beat, just needed someone to take charge, lol.
The back end crew had it down, very calm, not rattled by the dinner rush.
The ambiance is inviting, my dad and I played dominos with one of several sets provided.
I ordered patties and plantains to go.
Patties were good, plantains could be a little sweeter. Maybe it was a bad plantain day, not sure but it was missing something. Sugar, butter?
I highly recommended this spot if you need your Jamaican fix.
There is a parking lot adjacent to the building as well as off street parking.

Just got home from the Anoka Food Truck Festival. The first thing we tried was the Jamaican Jerk Chicken. One of the best things I have had. Very unique flavor and juicy, tender, and excellent. Fye! Bone in jerk chicken falls off the bone! Though I got extra sauce on the side, none was needed! It was just right! ..and the oxtail gravy was delish! I had that on top of my yummy beans & rice and it made it fye! Yamahn! Thanks! In the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger, 'I'll be back!' More...
I came here for the first time today. I absolutely love it! My experience was awesome, the staff is very friendly and attentive. I really like the decor and the island atmosphere. So glad I checked this place out! Food and atmosphere did not disappoint! One Love is a great dish...I was torn between choosing chicken and pork Vs curried veggies as a second. Just what Minneapolis needed! I love the whimsical feel brought to our streets and fun peppy music added to create an island experience. The food here is amazing - as well as the sauces. Though, my chicken curry was so delicious on its own, I hardly wanted to mask the flavor with a sauce. Yet if you are craving spice, try Kill Dem Wid It sauce and prepare for the burn! #soyum More...
I been looking for authentic Jamaican food for over 5 years in Minneapolis. I tried so many jerk dishes from places. Me being Liberian i knew I had not tasted the real Jamaican flavor yet. But the first time I ate from here I know I was in love! This is the real deal Jamaican food! IM ADDICTED FOR LIFE! More...

Our daughter’s wedding and reception took place at Aria during the Memorial Day weekend. Aria is part old theater district and great place for wedding. There is a big parking lot opposite to the venue which we had also rented. All our guests appreciated that. We were very happy with the efficiency of turnaround service after the wedding ceremony and before guests were seated for the reception dinner. The serving crew was efficient and polite. Acoustics were great and so was the dancing floor area. We had so much fun. More...

What a beautiful place!!!
Solid example of Jamician fare. Had the Curried Goat, with the Kill dem wit it sauce. Loved it. Long wait at bar for drinks, but friendly service all around.
I've been on a vegetarian diet for the past 5 months and I just had a cheat weekend & I came to pimento twice for that cheat weekend. If I didn't live all the way in St. Paul and the construction wasn't so bad would of ate there the whole weekend!! Great customer service and great jerk chicken see y'all next cheat day lol More...

Pimento whisks your taste buds away to the Caribbean, letting you forget for a moment that you're still in chilly, spice-less Minnesota.I tried the "One Love Special" with jerk chicken and jerk pork. Both were delicious, as were the sides of slaw and coconut rice. Unfortunately I wasn't able to try the plantains, since they were all out . I also got sauces for the side. They were both tasty, but I don't think they're necessary, since the dish already comes well-seasoned. For me, at least, the sauces were a waste of money.Besides the food, the service was quite Jamaican as well: a bit unwelcoming, kind of rude, and not very customer-service oriented. This was a bit of a turn-off, since the experience otherwise would've been very nice.So check out Pimento for spicy and authentic Jamaican food. Just bring some extra patience to put up with the pretentiousness you might face. More...
Great atmosphere, great food, friendly staff.
So my girlfriend and I were in town for a concert and I would consider us foodies so we're always on the hunt for great food! Well Pimento did not fail! We were in Jamaica last year and we both have to say the food here was better than the food in Jamaica! We had the jerk pork and chicken plate. It had enough for two people and it was all very good! Best of luck to you! Nice establishment! More...
The One love is excellent. Add on some wings and Red Strip beer. I'm ready to go back.
Food, service, atmosphere all amazing will be back soon!

Great food/venue/rum bar/back yard stage
Wow. My wife ordered the jerk chicken bowl and I had the Ox tails. These bowls are huge and will you up. They come with your dish with coleslaw and the rice and beans. I was a little skeptical since I like everything separated on a normal plate BUT this was really really good. The ox tails were so tender and they gave me a good sized helping. We ordered it with medium heat since my wife couldn't finish her food at another place since it was too spicy. We also had the beef patties which were on point as well. If you get a chance, try out the authentic island sodas here. I haven't had ginger beer in forever and it was really good. My wife had the pineapple soda which was really good as well. Overall, this is a really good spot for Jamaican food and the service was quick. The wait for our food was relatively short. I'm really curious to see this place at night time since they have a bar as well. Come through and support this place. More...
The food was delicious the staff was very helpful and friendly, overall it's an awesome place.
I love this place. I love jerk chicken, though, so I might be biased. Either way, this place makes the best jerk you can get. The curry is also awesome. I could literally eat this every day. More...

Really flavorful jerk rub that hardly needs a sauce, but of course get a sauce anyway particularly if you love heat. The coconut was really fragrant and well cooked. The slaw was a refreshing side dish to cut the heat. The chicken itself was tender and delicious. Super casual environment and laid back atmosphere. More...

Really good food, my only complaint is the lack of AC, it was uncomfortable inside.
Definitely a fan of Pimento. I was sad they were closed on the 4th... I've been craving a meat patty for 2 days, but all of that came to a crashing end when I stopped by Pimento for my call ahead order. The woman on the phone was pleasant and seemed tickled that I only phoned ahead for a meat patty, but she wasn't judging. LOL She gave me an estimate of 10 minutes. I found an awesome street parking spot directly in front of the establishment. The men at the counter were friendly and already had eye contact as I approached the counter. I paid and was advised my order would be ready in just a few. I took a couple of pix and before I could finish checking in on Yelp, a young man was bringing me my meat patty. Another employee complimented my hair (just a full service place! Good service and compliments too?! I'll be back! LOL) and she sounded like the woman i spoke to on the phone.I was there hardly 5 minutes.I'll be back for some curry goat! BTW, the meat patty hit the spot. More...

Great food and love di yardi Patio!
This place is full of culture. Once you walk in you hear fun, contagious Jamaican music playing in the background. The staff are so kind and welcoming. It's a super casual place so you seat yourself and then go up to the register to order. I got the One Love Special with Slow Roasted Jerk Pork and Curry Veggies. Only took about 10-15 minutes for our food to arrive. Warning: the food is really pretty spicy. We had to keep drinking water the whole time. I think it was the pork that made it particularly spicy. The curry veggies were not as bad. Along with that, you get really yummy flavors that you can tell take a lot of effort and time to develop. Prices for each bowl range from $10-16. And with each bowl you also get rice & beans, plantains, and slaw. Overall, if you can handle the heat, I highly recommend this place. More...

Great food, fun atmosphere, & loved all the sauces.
I've only been here a couple of times and I will say, for MN.... its good Jamaican food. Growing up in NYC in West Indian neighborhoods with Jamaican friends I grew eating lots of Jamaican food. That said... keeping in mind where I'm at, although I give it 3.5, I'm rounding up. Anyway the rice is good, could use more flavor, like thyme & coconut milk. The jerk pork flavorful and while it looks like a small portion in the bowl, it's very sufficient. First time I visited, I had the curry goat which had lots of bone bits. Not atypical, but seemed excessive. I liked that the plantains were thick pieces and super sweet both times (if you eat them regularly you know sometimes while they look ripe, they're not fully). I've had one of the bbq sauces (can't recall but it was good) and most recently the jerk ranch which I liked A LOT.I do feel the price of the patties and Jamaican sodas are high, but hey if people are willing to pay then let them.Anyway I'm glad there's a good West Indian restaurant in the area and would return as well as recommend it. I've recently moved from NYC where you really don't have to search too hard(or at all) to find a good Jamaican spot. So when I moved to the twin city area I immediately got nervous when I realized how scarce it was here. Given the location it makes sense that the menu is tailored to 'local taste buds'. With that being said, is Pimento the most authentic Jamaican food I've ever had? No. Is it delicious? Absolutely!Though it doesn't taste like Grandmas Sunday dinner it has a fresh new twist on everything that is just...SOO good. Everything I've tried here is delicious but the oxtail and jerk chicken/pork is EVERYTHING. I come here every time I'm home sick and it always hits the spot so for that I am also grateful lol. It's a tad on the pricey end for the amount of food you get but it's so good it's beyond worth it to me. I've recommended it to people who have never had Jamaican food and they've come back to me RAVING about it. So it's safe to say you have a regular customer in me lol. More...
Always a friendly smile serving up tasty, tasty food in a great environment. Always go bone-in with the chicken and you can't go wrong with the goat curry. SO happy to find a spot that understands what spicy means to non-Minnesotans while still offering great choices for the hotdish homies. More...

I Love this place. When I drive near it. I go there to eat.
We went down to this amazing jamaican restaurant on a very snowy typical MPLS night hoping to just get some dinner but we were pleasantly surprised with the warm atmosphere at the restaurant and the flavorful food. Pimento is in my top 3 restaurants in Minneapolis. If you haven't been, GO. The One Love special (jerk chicken and pork combo) is the way to go. The meat is so tender and flavorful, the plantains are cooked perfectly, the slaw is a great added crunch, and the coconut rice and beans brings it all together. Other favorites at Pimento: Ting soda (grapefruit soda), and the beef patties when on the go. Sauces: the sauces at pimento all are packed with flavor. The Kill Em Wit It is some of the spicy sauce around yet you don't want to stop eating it since it is simultaneously so delicious. We even bought a jar to bring home. The Kingston Kick is a good way to play it safe with a little heat. More...
Disclaimer: I went in STARVING so will be trying it again soon to ensure it was as good as I thought. Delicious food and even better service, especially for the price point. We had the jerk chicken and jerk pork. Both served over coconut beans and rice with slaw. Simple. Clean. The flavor of the meat was spot on. Just the right amount of spice. The chicken was a bit dry, but that's not surprising for chicken. The pork was deliciously juicy. The also have a variety of sauces to choose from. My companion didn't want high spice, so we got the "ranch" and MN nice BBQ. Both were good (thank God the ranch wasn't anything like ranch), but I might try a hotter or more vinegar based sauce next time. When we walked in, the gentleman working saw us analyzing the menu and came from behind the counter to offer information and samples. He was very helpful from start to finish, always making sure we had what we needed. They had serve yourself lemon infused water. Bonus points. And the decor was clean and pleasant. More...

One of my favorite spots in Minneapolis. I usually don’t like bone-in wings, but these are consistently delicious. They started with a smaller menu, and wings only on Wednesdays. Now they have an awesome expanded menu, and wings are available every day. Vegetarian-friendly options include a coconut curry stew that would even satisfy the meat eaters. Best plantains I’ve ever had too! More...
