Get a Bagel sandwich everything was actually fresh from this bagel I got- the eggs, bacon and cheese melting over. The sandwich is actually huge and you could with someone.

Ok, so if you're really into food, but maybe have a nostalgic craving for a burger-' I cannot praise this loc Greek family operation more--Pietris on 2nd /Argonne--- Brioche bun, gouda which is gratinier, lamb/beef combo either pesto or honey/mustard sauce. I came here a few times mostly for dessert or sorbet. This place has really great desserts, one of my favorites is a chocolate cake with coconut (I do not recall the name). Tasted the macarons, was not too impressed with those but they were still pretty good. The sorbets are probably my favorite thing here, the mango was simply delicious. Only came here once for lunch and had a chicken sandwich and it was really good. The service is always great everyone is very friendly. I will keep coming back! More...

Outstanding.The food here was fantastic. The coffee was spectacular. After lunch, I went across the street to a proper coffee house, and it wasn't even close to what Pietris put on the table. I've got to say, the restaurant didn't look like anything special, but it didn't look bad, either. It was kind of standard for a place like this. But, this place is not standard. Authentic Greek fare served here along with sandwiches, omelets, burgers and salads plus pastries and gelato. The sweet staff make up for slow service but a wonderful brightly lit cafe on 2nd Street in Belmont Shore neighborhood. We (my wife and 2 sons one son 4 months other 4years ) Walked in after a family day of Pokémon hunting. We had a lot of things planned for the day so we just decided to order out. First thing we tried was the gelato all amazing and they're really generous with their tasting, of every flavor, we loved the chocolate. I ordered the salmon lox bagel, and the honey and cheese. I also noticed that they had Greek coffee. I've never had it before so I asked what it was. The worker that help me was very descriptive. Wile We were awaiting the staff was really accommodating they asked us to sit at a table even giving us water. I decided to look up this place on yelp and I noticed there was a free pastry when you check-in. So I did, and the staff was really helpful getting the pastry for us. the greek burger all day long. i would travel for this burger. i would stop in Long Beach hungry for this burger. I don't usually rave about burgers but DANG - it's crispy onion ring, flavorful, crunchy arugula, gooey pesto, delicious seeded roll, good quality patty. After successfully nibbling on dinner, we knew that we wanted to go to Pietris for dessert. There many positive things that I can say about this place, but the take home I want to share is- the delectable offerings here taste as good as they look! !! Recently, this bakery has become our go-to for sweets since it stays open a little later than many other choices.On this post-dinner foray, I chose the ekmek- some custardy number with shredded phyllo dough. It was good but I'm not sure that I need to have it again...there are other ways to fill my calorie allotment. My partner chose that other pretty piece that came with a plastic injector that contained a liqueur. That deliciousness is certainly worth a second date.I did a poor job in tracking what we ordered; I was too mesmerized by the beautiful dark chocolate choices which caused my involuntary reaction to just keep pointing at a few creations to be added into our to-go order. The moment I walked through the door it smelled amazing! Their baked goods are made fresh daily on site you can see them behind a glass window being made. The finishing product looks like works of art. Their gelato bar look beautiful also it was the best gelato I have ever tried. There was a lot to choose from on the menu,their grilled chicken sandwich was the best the presentation was beautiful the portion size was too much for me had to bring half home. Popped in for a dessert. I recognized a few items on the menu and only one or two interested me so I chose the Banoffee. The first two bites spiked my blood sugar I’m sure. I've been here twice in the last week. First, great breakfast with eggs over medium, delicious crispy bacon, perfectly ripe fruit, and a lovely iced latte exactly the way I wanted it (high maintenance orderer here). My friends ordered the Avocado Toast which they adored; there was so much (for only $10.45), they brought half home. Then tonight we shared a fantastic dinner: Saganaki Cheese all melty and yummy, followed by a tasty Moussaka and Shrimp souvlaki (shrimp skewers), both of which came with perfect Greek salads (no lettuce). And finally the others had desserts that they loved: Magic, Magic Apple (apple and pear mousse covered in a gorgeous red glaze with a crispy chocolate base), Ekmek (a phyllo coconut base with a vanilla custard, whip creme, and chopped pistachios), and Greek coffee with a lovely crunchy orange cookie. PLUS terrific service on both visits!! Story time! When we walked in close to closing time we were informed that new items had been designed and added to the menu just today so we tried some from that list including the lemon tart, tiramisu, amaretta and one item from the old menu, the creme brulee. Pietris is THE BEST! The food is made from scratch with fresh ingredients and so tasty. We love the saganaki or flaming cheese, Greek burger (get it with an impossible patty), Greek salad, soup, eggplant dip, and the yummy breakfasts! We love the bogoutsa (bring the chocolate back!), egg dishes, fresh juices and bagels.And then there is dessert! So many yummy choices. Plus homemade ice cream. Grab a Freddo Espresso and a cookie (Kourabi and Ergalvos are our favorite). They accommodate vegetarians and vegans as well. Try it once and you will be back!
