Had a great dinner at Pier22.  This place is the perfect water front upscale restaurant located in DT Bradenton.  Come for the views, good service and fresh food.  On our visit we made sure to have an outdoor reservation to sit with a view, so plan ahead.  Prices are moderate and high value.  My son had a filet, cooked to perfection and tender.  I had the Grouper Oscar, which tasted delicious.  Dinner rolls came hot and fresh.  Service was on point, they even accommodated under 21 special cocktail.  Desserts were gourmet, we had the chocolate cake and cheesecake with raspberry drizzle, both were wonderful.  I would not hesitate to plan a nice evening meal at pier22, including larger groups.  Year round patio seating on the water is available as they have tents with clear barriers, so on iffy florida weather days you can still dine with a view, just take a sweatshirt.  Dress here is collar casual.  Definitely kid friendly, family friendly, and group friendly. Had a holiday lunch party on the patio and it was wonderful time. Very spacious and back doors open up to the back deck. Lunch was served buffet style. Prime rib was the best as well as their salads. There was mash potatoes and sweet potatoes that were good but nothing to rave about. View was great of the marina in the back and beautiful boats floating. Food was very delicious, and the service was even better. Greg, our waiter, could tell my wife didn't like her Prime Rib (too much rosemary for her tastes, but I wound up eating all of it, very well-seasoned for me), so he had Jess, the manager, come over and she insisted on replacing it for the Beef Tenderloin free of charge. Beautiful location! We came here for their Thanksgiving meal, but decided to just order from the menu. The food was good, but expected more for the cost.
