Christmas Eve!! I’ve been so excited to post my Christmas photos done by Photography By Christian James and Lisa! Two absolutely amazing people, who put together such a wonderful little mini session! Although mini doesn’t even begin to explain it! The time and effort they both put into our little family session was so much more than I could have imagined. These two put my mama brain going crazy to ease from the minute the photo session started til the minute I received my last little piece from them! My heart so full when the Christmas cards came, opening them up and seeing how beautiful they came out was wonderful. But they also took the time to get a stamp especially for one of my cards they knew was being sent over to Ireland! Thank you both for going out of your way to do this for me! Again thrilled when they personally delivered my two big photos (FRAMED) to my house, then again when our gorgeous little ornament came in the mail. You made my mommy heart explode this holiday season I cannot thank you enough for your time, thoughtfulness, generosity and making me smile non stop every time I look at these timeless pictures! Cannot wait to book with you again after the holidays, at which time I have a special little surprise for you and your little family❤️ Thank you a million times for all you’ve done Christian & Lisa! I had been doing a lot of research for photographers for my annual Christmas pictures for my son and I. I came access Photography By Christian James. I had read his blog and looked at his photos. I just loved his style so I reached out. He was very fast at responding and was very polite and funny I might say. He asked what I was looking for and I told him. I always liked the out doors look. He said he had the perfect place for our session. When me and my son meet Christian I was presently surprised by his demeanor and characteristic. He was very good with my son as well. As we all know it is hard to get kids to be natural in a photo. I loved all his posses as well. He had us very comfortable and made it a fun day as well as a photo shoot. I can't wait to work with him again this year on our 2018 Christmas photo session. More...

What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Waiting for the right moment and the right light. Not forcing a pose or position. Letting the situation unfold. You have to really care about whatever you’re shooting. One of my favorite parts about being a photographer is that it forces you to pay attention to things ordinary people may take for granted, or worse, not even notice.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What Is the Style of the Shoot? Lifestyle, Portraits, etc.
The number of Final Shots Required? (We shoot lots of images. Understanding the expectation of what you need for your project, or album etc helps us plan the time we spend together.)
How are our images going to be used?
Example: Greeting cards, Album, Prints, Enlarged Canvas or Wall Art, Other Products such as Mugs, Cups Etc
Have you done this type of photo shoot before?
Beyond editing are you looking for retouching or visual effects shots? Example: Our Magic and Fairy Collections, Object Removal or Addition, Green screen etc.

What inspired you to start your own business?
Photography By Christian James started after my work volunteering for the Red Cross on their disaster services team. Not many people know but In just two minutes, a fire can become life-threatening. In five minutes, a residence can be engulfed in flames.
Time and time again even after losing a home the family would be most upset about photo albums and their lost memories.
Having a background in film and video taught me about storytelling, however, was always drawn to photos. Being able to capture a laugh, genuine smile, that first kiss at a wedding, the surprise and joy of being able to say, "I do". Being able to freeze those moments in time and have one image tell a story is why I wanted to do this.
Knowing what disaster can do we provide an online portal and backup in addition to beautifully printed products to ensure that your memories will last and be protected from time.
