I reached out and received a quick call back and scheduled an appointment. He showed up on time and prepared. I was impressed with his direct approach, knowledge and organization. He also makes an effort to make you feel comfortable right away and is easy to speak with during the workout. He knows just how far to push you without stressing you out. He focused on what goals that I wanted to accomplish and provided a workout customized to those requests. He provided tools to help with those goals and sent my workout to me afterwards to use on my own. I would definitely recommend. More...

Jake has been training my fiancee and I for around two months now and we could not be happier to have found him. 10/10, would recommend. We have a smaller gym within our apartment building, but Jake does a great job of maximizing what equipment you have available to you. I've found Jake to be an excellent communicator. This is important not only for establishing long term goals, and also gauging progress along the way. In previous spurts of going to the gym, my technique was never the best and I believe this caused me to overcompensate with larger muscles (back, shoulders, etc). With Jake, I've been able to fine tune the mechanics of each exercise and really isolate the muscles I'm intending to work. I was 58 years old, overweight, winded by a flight of stairs, in pain every morning....and Jake is bringing me back to life and health! He knew exactly where and how to start helping me build strength and stamina, and pushes me to my limit with kindness and humor. I started training with Jake on 3/22/18. My goal: gain muscle and lose some body fat... a tall order! I knew it would be really tough since I'm 50 and yep, menopausal. I'm not a scale person but I probably needed to lose 7-10 lbs. I tried doing it on my own by cutting calories & doing extra cardio - NO changes. I tried South Beach... lost 1 pound in 3 weeks while the husband lost 7. GrrrrRESULTS SO FAR: After 1 month of training with Jake, I've lost a total of 7 INCHES (upper & lower abdomen, thighs, etc.)!! I lost a few pounds too. I would've lost more scale weight but I gained valuable muscle. We have 2 more sessions to go, so I'm expect that a few more inches will vanish. SO SO HAPPY!! I've gone down almost 2 belt notches, my puffy stomach is finally flattening, my thighs are SO tight and my arms are finally showing real muscle tone. :)) ROUTINE: We trained 2x/week, and Jake advised me to do cardio 3x/week (30-45 min. power walking plus 10 minutes of treadmill HIITs). It's tough but it's worth every second and every penny! Jake makes it fun... as fun as pain can be. :)) He pushes hard but also understands client limitations (I have a lower back issue). I've worked with a few other trainers years ago and he is by far THE BEST!!! He got me "beach-ready" for a very special anniversary trip to Fiji. THRILLED! More...

Although I was often late for our work-outs, Jake was always on time and pumped to get my work out on!  He's someone who prides himself on his knowledge of the human body and how, through his custom programs, he can get you the body you want.Personally, I like a trainer who'll push you.  Perhaps it was based on my request to be pushed but, he wouldn't let me get away with any shortcuts.Highly recommend. My fiancé and I have been working out with Jake for the last 5 months, and we are very happy with the results we are getting.

I am 5'2 and 112 lbs, and my goal is to lose fat and tone up. So far, I lost about 4% of body fat which is a lot for my height and weight! He has been providing us some suggestions for the personalized diet (macros as well as tips for healthy eating) and workouts we could do on the dates we do not work out with him.

He listens to your goals to tailors workouts and pushes you hard even when you don't want to. Not only he is a great trainer but also such a fun person to get a training from. Overall, we are more than pleased that we decided to go with him over other trainers!

I've been working out with Jake for 5 weeks now and have really enjoyed the journey so far. Jake is always on time, super personable, and makes working out way less of a grind. He focuses on form over just piling weights on and is great when it comes to pushing an extra few reps out of you. I've been exercising with Jake Tiesler for about three years now and I can assure anyone looking for a trainer that you won't find anyone better.  I started working out with Jake when my daughter was just a few months old.  We sat down and made a reasonable diet plan and came up with realistic (and most importantly HEALTHY) weight loss goals.  I lost my baby weight in about three months.  What I love most about Jake though, is that I know at every training session, he's going to ask me more than just what I ate that day or how much I weighed that morning.  Every time I see him he's asking me how my work is going, how is my stress level, what's going on with me personally that's affecting my diet and how I feel about myself.  He's a got a "whole person" approach to training that helps more than just my waist line.  Thanks Jake! Jake is the best trainer I've ever worked with. My fiancee and I started working out with Jake 2 months before our wedding and he created personalized nutritional plans for each of us and did an excellent job getting us in shape. We're going to continue working with him because we've seen results working with him that we wouldn't have realized on our own. Jake is an excellent trainer. He is very personable and knowledgeable. He immediately assessed my diet and got me on a program to lose weight. I had the goal of losing about sixty pounds.  We promptly started workouts in the park  three times a week with free weights and I began to get in shape.  I already lost about six pounds in a couple weeks. Jake also managed to locate one of the nicer parks in los angeles. He tailors the workouts to your needs and also sometimes checks up on you.
