What inspired you to start your own business?
I started Performance Planners as a result of doing a business plan for another business. The day I finished that business plan for the other company is the day I closed that business. Not because it wasn't feasible, but it was not a path that I was willing to go. However, I did enter the business plan in a statewide business planning contest and won 1st place in the state.
Planning is crucial, and as a part of my participation in the business planning class, it convinced me of the importance of planning. As a business owner or event planner, we will always take an unplanned road; however, I found that a well thought out plan creates a better route initially by being proactive than reactive.

My passion is to help others succeed. No matter how small or large each project is, I manage it as a business of its own, with an essential outcome. Each project has specific goals, some tangible and some not tangible, yet no matter which, there have to be goals and objectives. What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Remote work has been a large part of Performance Planners business due to living in rural, remote areas. Therefore, this has been continued and heightened as a result of COVID - 19. Technology makes it more affordable as well for businesses to operate and thrive while being safe.

AFTER ACTION REVIEW
Upon event completion, the event is analyzed by what happened, why it occurred and what transpired in comparison to the strategic plan. It provides the tools and is a collective resource of knowledge for subsequent events.
