Chef Lou Perella creates the most delicious Italian food on the planet. The menu is huge and everything is brought to the table at the perfect temperature by the friendly and very competent wait staff. The seafood platter I had last night was huge and I am looking forward to leftovers for tonight’s dinner. A+ for Perella’s Ristorante! Thank you. More...

I went here on a recommendation of my son who has been here numerous time. They had the combo plate for 2. I ordered meatballs with spaghetti. Food came out and there was a lot per portion. The meatballs were of a fare size but were completely bland. No taste to me. Figuring I was wrong I asked my son who agreed with me. I then tasted his chicken parm. and it was delicious. All of the others in our group really liked their selections. The service was extremely slow and only came for drinks or refills only once. More...

I've been coming to Parella's Ristorante for years, and I've never had a bad meal here! LOVE it! Coming into Parella's is like coming home. Everyone knows you and greets you like family. (Sometimes, maybe BETTER than family -- HA!) I've tried almost everything on the menu, and never tire of eating here. Plus, there's always something in the way of specials to try. I had an awesome stuffed haddock lately, that was out of this world! If you haven't been to Perella's, you're missing out. So, come on down! You won't be disappointed! If it's been a while since you've been here, come on back and remember what you've been missing! Great food; great company; great service! What more could you want? :) More...

I love going to Perella's - from the fish to the pasta dishes, all the appetizers - I've tried just about everything on the menu and I enjoy all of it, especially the Turkey Lorraine soup they make right after Thanksgiving! Garlic cloves served with the bread is perfect ans very rare to find. Also - best fried ice cream I've ever had! More...

I have had a few dishes here and have never been disappointed. It's a very local neighborhood joint but the food is why I go and why I return. Dan the server is as famous as the award wining dishes he created for a pasta cook off in Providence where he beat the fed hill gang. He has been around this area longer than I and my kids have attended school locally grades K thru 12. Lou has a very friendly staff and has been a great member of the community for a long time. The food is great and the setting unpretentious. It is not El Forno but never said it was. And it's priced as dinner not a overly dramatic culinary experience. To quote coach Bill, it is what it is. Â But it is consistent and good. More...

My friend threw a party here for her boyfriend. They really took care of us, and the food was great, especially the appetizers - amazing stuffed mushrooms, calamari, cold antipasti, mozz sticks, etc. The food is not exceptionally creative or unique, but it tastes pretty good for the most part. The atmosphere is generally quite comfortable and homey, although the bathroom could use a little bit of work. Overall, a nice hometown place with affordable prices. More...

I tried this a while ago and can't wait to go back. Â It was a little off-putting at first because of the location and the decor. Â However, the food was great. Â My husband and I split a sampler entree that had a little bit of everything. Â It was so good and there was enough there to take some home for the next day. Â My son had the pizza and enjoyed that, too. Â I will admit that the service left a lot to be desired, but the food made up for it. More...

This is probably the best Italian food I've come across outside of Providence in the Greater Fall River/New Bedford Area. The restaurant decor itself is almost similar to a diner, so don't expect an incredible atmosphere . The real draws here are the food and service. This is the kind of place I could return to a few times to explore the menu. The service was great because they were attentive without being overbearing and had great recommendations. As far as dishes, I'd highly recommend the Pasta e Fagioli, the Cioppino and the Lasagna. I didn't have the Lasagna, but my wingman on this trip knows lasagna and gave it two thumbs... discerning eater like myself, so I'll go with it. The Cioppino wasn't a traditional Cioppino (I think almost more of a soup), but it was excellent. A hearty mix of seafood and pasta in a truly flavorful Marinara sauces (marinara sauces are generally boring). When I go back the next time, I plan on trying some veal and saving room for the fried icecream.
