Q&As

Making my clients comfortable! When someone feels awkward or self-conscious, it shows. I have many tricks up my sleeve to capture those natural moments of laughter, love, and beauty. Photos are only as good as the subjects within them, so focus on the people first, and the rest takes care of its self!

What is your budget?
Do you need the final images by a specific date?
What photography/set style did you have in mind?
Have you ever been professionally photographed before? How was the experience?
What story are you trying to tell with these images?

I think photography has developed a bad reputation.

Maybe it was the awkward school photos we were forced to take through grade school, or maybe you have always felt a little off or shy having a camera shoved in your face.

I get you because, I’ve been you. I still feel nauseous when someone tells me, “here let me take a picture of you for once.” Photography can be intimidating, but it wasn’t meant to be that way.

When I’m photographing, I’m not looking for perfection; I’m looking for moments. I don’t want you to worry about your hair blowing in the wind. I want you to stop worrying about how I am going to pose you, or if you’ve chosen the right outfit for the occasion.

I’m not trying to find and capture the physical you; I am looking for your heart and soul. I am looking for the expression on a fathers face when he sees his daughter on her wedding day. Or those cozy moments on a cold day where you get to snuggle up with the kids, watching a movie by the fire. I’m trying to tell a story… the story of you.

I am beyond thankful to capture those stories every day.

I used to work as an NHL cheerleader and often was thrown in front of the camera. These situations always made me feel awkward and uncomfortable with how I looked. I vowed to never make my clients feel that way even when there is a camera in their face.

I want everyone to look at their images at the end of the session and say, "woah, that's me?!" Everyone deserves to feel confident and beautiful, and I think photography is one of the most powerful tools out there to accomplish that.

When you work with us at Peak & Pine, you will get the chance to start building your own collection of life’s little moments. So if you’re ready to start collecting, let’s get started!
