We held our wedding at Hunting Hill Mansion/Parque at Ridley Creek in Gradyville PA, serviced by Peachtree catering. Lindsay Keane and Fallyn Maleski were our coordinators, and they took incredible care of us while making sure our fairytale wedding come through. They were always quickly responsible and flexible, and made us feel as if we were their only clients.

We mostly worked through Lindsay to coordinate the event, but both Lindsay and Fallyn were present on the day of the event to make sure everything run smoothly. Fallyn was also available throughout the process to help answer any questions we had. At this venue, Peachtree manages all of the catering and the ordering of chairs and setting up the cermony and tables, but they go above and beyond. They also coordinate with all of your other vendors (videographer, photographer, etc., cake delivery, etc.) to make sure everyone is aware of the wedding day timeline and where they need to be. This is a huge benefit as it makes the need to hire a separate wedding coordinator unnecessary.

Also, the food from Peachtree is incredible! They say no one remembers the food from a wedding, but this is not the case for Peachtree. Everything from the passed appetizers to the specialty cocktails, mini-margaritas, and of course the main dish was simply impeccable. You can't go wrong.

We are so happy we went with Parque at Ridley Creek and Peachtree catering. They made it so we could enjoy every moment of our wedding day without any stress or worry that something would be overlooked. We highly, highly, highly recommend them!

The service was impeccable, with both Fallyn and Sam there day of to help. Not to mention the staff that were absolutely wonderful. The Pomme will take your breath away – tucked away in Radnor, PA, it is like a hidden oasis that feels magical. It has so many picture perfect intimate spots between the bridge overlooking the swan pond, the subtle entry way with wind chimes, the lawn and downstairs bar for great open air cocktail hour, or the fire pit… before you even enter the reception, you already are overwhelmed by its beauty and all the potential it has to make your day memorable. If the venue alone wasn’t enough to sell you, once you meet with Michelle or Sam with PeachTree Catering, you already know everything will be perfect. Everyone on their team is professional, timely, kind, and care just as much about all the details of the day as you do. They were easy to work with and make adjustments even towards the final weeks of preparation. They were always a calming and assuring presence. I couldn’t have dreamed of working with a better team to make my entire experience so smooth and enjoyable – I loved this team and all of my guests continued to say how wonderful they were. It’s unbelievable that one group could have the whole package, but this group has a great venue, FANTASTIC food (everyone could not get over how amazing everything was!), and the friendliest and most fun and professional team anyone could ever need. Anyone who is able to have their wedding or any event at the Pomme is definitely in for the time of their life. More...

If the venue itself wasn't enough, the staff and catering were out of this world! Peachtree & Ward catering blew us away with their quality and food service. The food was INCREDIBLE! They customized everything for us from the bar, appetizers to our unique and delicious brunch/lunch stations! The service at the event was also flawless! Every guest was taken care of, and everything ran according to plan. We were taken care of from the second we walked in the door until our last guest left in the afternoon!

Planning an event with Pomme was effortless! A big shout out to Dan Dutch for his patience, flexibility and creativity throughout this process. From the first email to the last detail I felt taken care of and supported. Both Dan and Jon (the owner) were up front with services and prices and were willing to work with us with menu choices and services. Incredible catering company and venue!! We were married at Parque - the exclusive Peachtree venue at Ridley Creek State Park. I cannot recommend this caterer and venue enough. The food was honestly the best food I have ever had at a wedding and the service was more than I could ever have expected. After the tasting, I knew I was not going to be one of those brides who says she never ate anything at her wedding - and I wasn't! I ate every single bite of my dinner and it was to die for!

Staff took care of every single detail and the guests are still talking about how impeccable the event was. I had several guests with food allergies or special needs that the serving staff checked in with regularly to make sure that they were enjoying their meal and that their allergies were properly attended to. My husband and I had an attendant who made sure we always had a drink in our hand and one of every dessert!! The entire serving staff was kind and attentive and service felt like we were eating in a fine dining restaurant.

The venue itself is gorgeous. It feels as though you are transported back in time. The ballroom has gorgeous wood paneled walls and floor to ceiling window. The ceiling is decorated with plaster relief. There is a grand staircase with a gorgeous chandelier that makes for gorgeous photos and the gardens outside offer several beautiful ceremony sites. The terrace that wraps around the mansion is a perfect spot for an outdoor cocktail hour. There is also a large bridal suite and a small groom's room. I had 15 people getting ready with hair and makeup in the suite and we had more than enough room to be comfortable. The bridal suite has amazing windows and light for photos. We had 112 guests (12 table and a sweetheart table) along with a 6-piece band and dance floor. I felt like this was the perfect size wedding for the space.

Our wedding at Pomme was nothing short of amazing. From the time I walked in to the bridal suite, to the time we left for the night, our bridal party, family, and guests raved about the space, food, and everything in between. The appetizers were plentiful - nobody was ever waiting for a server to come around and they were executed beautifully. The presentation at Pomme is top-notch and creative, and so different from any other venue I have been to (seriously, get the spaghetti and meatball nests, SO worth the upgrade). We had about 85 people, and everyone was served their salads and their entrees in a timely manner. The food was cooked to perfection, which I personally have never seen at a wedding before. Normally when a kitchen is cooking for that large of a group, something is bound to fall by the wayside, but not at Pomme. The same attention to detail and exquisite flavor is found in the perfectly crafted side dishes too - not just the main part of the meal. My husband and I had an attendant that catered to us all day, in the bridal suite and throughout the reception, we never had to wait on any food or drinks. I cannot say enough positive things about how well our special day was executed, and I am so appreciative of the staff for working so hard to make everything go so well.Unfortunately, I cannot say the same of the planning process. Obviously, in the end it was all worth because of how well everything went, but there were more hiccups along the way than one would expect from a venue that has been doing this exact thing for quite some time. One of the reasons we chose Pomme was because we did our research and knew that they were seasoned professionals. My main problem leading up to the wedding was the personnel changes (many people quit, and we were passed along from employee to employee). The problems and confusion  from  working with multiple people created several misunderstandings. I felt like we were told things (both verbally and in writing) that were not honored. There were attempts to rectify certain items, but what was more upsetting is that we were made to feel like liars, and it made us EXTREMELY uncomfortable, but at that point, 6 months away from the wedding, what can you do about it? Nothing, really.  When one person tells you one thing and someone else tells you another it certainly doesn't sit well, especially when the stakes are so high. I will admit I am type-A, organized, and a perfectionist, but  every Bride is to a certain extent - it's a formal wedding, not a backyard BBQ. We had been looking forward to that day for a long time and I was the one planning it, so I was not about to let little details fall by the wayside. The change in personnel also made it very unclear who I should be contacting for what questions, and made for a very confusing planning process. When we received our final bill with a zero balance, there were two occasions following that we were told we actually owed more money, and that there was a mistake on the original invoice, which was unnerving in the last two weeks before a wedding when you think you have everything squared away.I want to stress that all of this was worth it in the end, and everyone was extremely helpful (Especially Meghan during the planning process, Michelle who executed the day perfectly, and Jen, our attendant for the day), but the planning could have been much less stressful than it was, so if you are considering Pomme, just be sure you are prepared for that. I was at a wedding this weekend at the gorgeous grounds of this place! The ceremony was held outside and my gosh, breathtaking. Talk about an amazing walk for a bride. It was so pretty to watch the bride and her dad walk across the bridge lit up with white lights. Cocktail hour was INCREDIBLE. The staff was nothing but awesome and attentive. The food was OUT OF THIS WORLD!Mini sliders, quesadillas, little bottles of margaritas, mini hotdogs, a raw bar stocked with shrimp cocktail, clams, oysters, crab legs, crab cakes and about 4 other snacks. Nothing but delicious. The inside was beautifully decorated. I loved how the head table was long ways in the center with all the tables around the outside. This is the first time I have ever seen a ballroom done this way and it was very appeasing. HOWEVER, the table setup in relation to the dance floor is what makes this rating a 4 and not a 5. You wouldn't be able to sit at your seat and watch the dancing. Especially if you were one of the last tables. You had to stand at the dance floor to watch the bridal entrances as well as all the dances. The salad served with dinner-yummy!! The mushroom ravioli-yummy!! The main dinner course, steak and salmon with potatoes and asparagus-yummy!! It was a great wedding celebrating love! More...

We had Peachtree & Ward cater our wedding, and I honestly can't say enough good things about them! Fist and foremost, they had great service form start to finish. They were a pleasure to work with the whole way through, and their passion for good food really shows. They rightfully pride themselves on making the most out of fresh seasonal foods, and while they have an incredible and diverse selection on their menus, grouped by season and cuisine, that is just the start. They enthusiastically welcome you to participate in custom tailoring the menu, and are even happy to incorporate custom or family recipes! We had them make cranachan, a classic Scottish dessert, for our wedding, and they nailed it. From butlered appetizers to the main course, the food was FAR better than most catered events.

The on site staff on the big day were TRUE PROFESSIONALS in every sense, and they were well prepared and highly organized; quickly responding to any and all needs. The bartenders were no exception to this, and we really put them to the test. We supplied our own alcohol, and in addition to the usual assortment of spirits and mixers, we had 3 varieties each of beer, wine, and meade, a selection of 6 scotches, and a rather complicated signature cocktail involving dry ice. And they absolutely nailed it, giving advice to first time scotch tasters and churning out the intricate cocktails fast enough to keep the lines down!

It's also worth mentioning that they have a stellar reputation among others in the wedding industry, which we were not aware of when we chose them. More than once, when we were working with other vendors, they asked us who our caterer was. When we told them, they responded to the effect of "oh, Peachtree & Ward... you really went with the best!"

My sincere thanks to them for making our wedding unique and very memorable!

Review of The James Beard 'Taste America' Event Friday, Sept. 4, 2013.   For those of us who could do with a preface, the James Beard Award is like a Grammy in the culinary world. Having this event in Philadelphia is a 'once every five years' event, so I graciously say thank you to the Foundation on behalf of my fair city.   One (of the many) enjoyable elements of the evening was how many chefs from the area chose to participate. There were no shortage of top tier culinary minds in attendance; all sharing their phood philosophies with us in single bite offerings. These uni-bite morsels ranged from "I need something to lean on...my knees are weak this is so good"  to  "what is devil is this doing here?" It is because of this span that I have developed a new rating system. At the top end, chefs can be awarded a "Stamper" of Approval. This means one is firing on all cylinders; top marks. Next down is a rating of 'Good Show'. Solid job, well done, not spectacular, but one should be perfectly happy with the rating. Next rung down takes us to 'Call for Concern'. When one receives a C.F.C., there are some issues which need rectifying. One or more problems are very apparent, and can't be overlooked. Lastly, is the dreaded F.U. from yours truly, al la my monicker. Topping off the list in first position:1. Chef Michael Santoro, of 'The Mildred', with his Oxtail Tortellini. Whoa. The following (in order) also received "Stampers of Approval":2. Chef Joe Cicala, Le Virtu, Pheasant & Porcini Ravioli 3. Chef Sean Weinburg, Restaurant Alba, "Carne Cruda" 4. Chef Patrick Feury , Nectar, Buratta The following chefs had a Good Show:- Chef Chris Kearse, Will BYOB, Pork Cheeks w Sunchokes- Chef Scott Schroeder, S. Philly Tap Room, Shaved Dry Aged Beef  - Chef George Sabatino, Morgan's Pier, Chilie Braised Short Ribs - Chef Mitch Prensky, Supper, Crab & Country HamThere were other offerings that were acceptable, if not noteworthy. Let's not take up time reviewing them in an already long review. "Call for Concern" goes out , first, to the architects of the auction. Whoever structured this stage of the evening very obviously does not know Philadelphia. The Urqhart wore his philanthropic hat on the 4th, but I was stunned when the bid for a ONE night stay at a mediocre vineyard in CA opened at $3k, not including air fare. There were even a few chuckles in the room as the auctioneer tried desperately to engage the crowd. Crickets for the most part, I'm afraid. This one was pretty far off the mark in terms of pricing, and in terms of auction items. This isn't Manhattan, it's Philadelphia. Do your market research. There was also a 'hotadog' (al la Tony Shalhoub from 'Big Night') that snuck into the party. Hey!?! Who invited hotdog? Hotdog was the one guy in the room who was wearing a Flyers jersey, asking for Bud Light, and speaking too loudly about nothing.  How on earth did Michael Falcone from Funky lil Kitchen get an invite to this?!? I'm still scratching my head on this one. Not too good, that. Only one F.U. goes out to Chef Ed Batejan not for his food (which was well above average), but for his manners. So much is said by the way a man treats the people who work for him. Not only is barking at one's staff in public unprofessional, it's downright rude. Everyone was working hard to make the night a success. I hope a sincere and complete apology is rendered post-haste. I didn't, however, want to waiver from my 5 star endorsement of the night solely because Mr. Batejan can't control his temper. A special tip of the hat to Scott Zoccolillo (nice Irish boy) for his carefully constructed cocktails. His three offerings payed homage to prohibition era cocktails, mid-century beverages, and modern gastronomy. Although no burners or braising pans were used in this instance, a Good Show is still in order. I'm leaving so much out; I do apologize. But I wanted to give a broad stroke review, promote chefs who deserve to be promoted, and say thank you to the sponsors & supports of Taste America. Cheers. More...

It is difficult to quantify value because its obscure - yet it is easy to get a lot less value for more money. Peachtree & Ward were wonderful in every aspect and their attention to the smallest detail made for a perfect event.

We were looking for a small, stylish - Sunday brunch wedding. Everything was a hit, from the outdoor ceremony and reception to the luncheon. Our friends and family enjoyed the day too, and haven't stopped commenting on the spectacular day.

What sold us on using this caterer was their attention to detail - food and its presentation come first. Wedding are notorious for mediocre food and Peachtree & Ward was gourmet - beyond 5 star. We are so happy that we went with this caterer.

Reception Venue:  It was beautiful and natural.  Even though it was sleeting outside, I could see the gorgeous potential of this site.  To get to the reception area, you cross a bridge over a lake inhabited by real swans (although, word on the street is that they are not very friendly).  The reception area has great natural lighting and beautiful large spherical lamps.  There is also a cocktail hour reception area on the bottom level which opens up to allow for an outdoor heated tent for more cocktail space.  The reception manager for the night was also very helpful as we tried to set up the decorations for the venue before the guests came.  They seemed very flexible and accommodating.Cocktail Hour:  The food was delicious and the service was amazing!  I have been to many receptions with passed hors d'oeuvres but none with such great variety and service as the reception I went to this past Saturday.  The bites were amazing!  From crispy phyllo dough wrapped crab rolls, mushroom duxelle triangles, tuna tartare on a crispy potato chip (think: kettle-cooked style), peking duck rolls (o-m-g possibly the most delicious invention ever--it was like a crispy Peking Duck wrap you make at an authentic Chinese restaurant), new potato skins with smoked salmon and creme fraiche, and cuban sandwich bites (my least fave of the group but really with such stellar bites, someone has to be the so-to-speak "loser" even if it was also good).  I never felt like I was in want of an hors d'oeuvres and even with a group of famished Asians (trust me, not a group that you want to keep hungry), there were so many servers still with hot and fresh appetizers.  Also, the servers were really attentive...it's like they could read your mind when your face was saying "oh no, I couldn't possibly eat another" but the little piggy inside of you was saying "oh please insist because this is like heaven in a bite!" they would know and make sure to find you.  As if they passed hors d'oeuvres weren't enough, they also had stations with philly cheesesteak sliders (cute, gooey, and cheesey), pretzel bites (with mustard dips), and a nacho chip/juicy pulled pork taco station with mango salsa, guac, and all the typicals.  Seated Dinner:  Dinner was served in three courses and always very timely.  We started with some mixed greens and a caramelized onion tart (with cheese--my fave!).  Next, was butternut squash ravioli--loved the filling but by this point, I had filled up way too much during cocktail hour so I couldn't finish all of the wrapping.  The main course was a perfectly cooked miso glazed cod over watercress and lime-infused rice.  It was delicious but I was so stuffed from everything else!Dessert:  Dessert had three options: vanilla and chocolate milkshakes (in shots), adorably cute but possibly too tiny mini coffee & strawberry gelato cones, and little jars filled with shortcake, strawberries, and whipped cream.  The jars were a great idea but I think it would have been even better with vanilla custard at the bottom and whipped cream on top--it needed some other flavor/consistency to bring it all together.  Otherwise, it would have been a rockstar finish.  Best of all, they served FRENCH PRESS coffee with dessert--both decaf and regular.  I mean, if you're gonna serve coffee, at least do it right! :)Overall, I was super impressed by the service and the quality quality quality of the food!  Really spectacular! Peachtree & Ward are absolutely Wonderful. We had a pretty stressful wedding day, however, the moment we walked into peche we both breathed a sigh of relief. Everyone walked away from out wedding telling how incredible the food was and how great the staff was. I highly recommend them to anyone! The owners of this company are an added bonus because they extremely kind and unique. More...

Everyone at Peachtree and Ward was absolutely amazing to work with! When we booked Peche, I immediately had a vision of what I wanted our reception to look like and with the help of Lucy, Lori and the rest of the Peachtree Team, things came together magically! They brought to life exactly what I was hoping for and made it better than I could have imagined! Our food phenomenal and I would recommend the Peche experience to anyone- especially for those looking for the "non-cookie cutter" wedding venue. You won't be disappointed! More...
