What do you love most about your job?
Interacting with our clients and plotting strategies designed to maximize media exposure for them within a reasonable budget.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After spending five years as a business journalist, I wanted to make the natural transition into PR. However, after exploring options on the agency and corporate sides, I decided to give PR a shot as an entrepreneur. Plan was to give it a year to see if this could be profitable. That year turned into 38!
Why should our clients choose you?
With a team that includes other former journalists, we are able to create press releases, articles and pitches that attract editors' interest. We are not afraid to politely tell clients: "your idea won't cut it with an editor." This knowledge has allowed us to amass a huge volume of press clippings as well as impressive numbers of views of our clients' releases online. By virtue of this track record and sensible fees, we have been able to maintain longstanding relationships with many clients--some for over 25 years. What's more, in an effort to avoid conflicts of interest, we will not handle competing clients. Finally, as a small agency (I hate the term 'boutique'), clients are always dealing with highly experienced PR professionals/journalists, each with at least 20 years experience.
