She took the time out of her personal schedule to come assess and work with a dog that had been needing a home for a long time that we helped with, but first needed a little work with being around other dogs. First off.. my dogs are utter traitors and threw themselves all over Janet the moment she first came through the door. She had her hands full with my two considering they had their individual issues to work on and one is still very puppy-ish, and the other is getting into his ornery old man years. In just two weeks we’ve ALL been trained: dogs (to know their safe “place” when visitors come to the door, how to walk appropriately in public, and confidence was built to work away the separation anxieties) humans: What actions trigger and encourage anxious chewing/destructive habits, how to take lead in public, and my son’s confidence has been BOOSTED since he can now walk our 100+ dog with barely a pinky on the leash. What do you love most about your job?
I love helping a family and dog speak the same language so they can grow their life long bond! Training is really about teaching the dog and human how to communicate in a way they both understand.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Passion. I have a passion for dogs, and have loved training all of my dogs. I decided to follow my passion and educated myself and went to dog training courses at the International School for Dog Trainers to further my knowledge and professional skills.
