Thanks goodness we found On Call!Our friend Hannah recommended the company after they worked at her engagement party, and I now see why. We had 2 helpers at our New Year's Eve party for about 40 guests and they were absolutely indispensible. It wasn't until the On Call helpers showed up that I could truly relax and knew that our party was going to be a hit.They were just like elves that took care of everything. They made room in our fridge for everything that needed to be chilled. They worked tirelessly to prepare the food and always topped off the plates so there was plenty to eat. When it neared midnight they had the idea to pour champaigne into cups for everyone and circulate with them. They tidied up as the party wound down so our clean up was minimal. Lynn and Cecilia were fantastic and Patti was a hero for making it happen. As a business owner myself I appreciated their dealing with the unexpected: the 2 servers who were supposed to work at our party were hurt in a car accident, and with just a couple hours to go they sourced 2 replacement helpers. Wow! That's going the extra mile. Thank you On Call.If you are thinking of hosting a party and doing it all yourself, DON'T. I loved the Christmas eve helper from On call. Â The agency is dependable , helpful and provided me with exactly the person I needed for this small event, and I was even lucky enough to have the same woman two Xmas eves in a row!!

As this was my first time throwing a party that was to be catered, I wasn't sure of what to do or what I needed. I called On Call! Hospitality Staffing  and spoke with Diane. She was SO helpful!! I explained what I was doing and she recommended using 1 of her staff to assist at the party. She also advised me how to set up the tables and heaters! She also calmed my nerves and everything turned out great! She sent Sue to assist  - doing everything from  bartending, cutting cake, serving and cleaning up. We highly recommend On Call! Â I hired a bar tender and two servers for my husband's 50th birthday party and they worked out great. Monica was the lead and helped with everything from setting up tables to asking if I had centerpieces I wanted to use. Â She set up the bar and made beautiful platters of food. The three circulated and cleaned up plates, recycling, etc. They even broke down tables at the end, put extra food away, and cleaned my kitchen!! This review is by my husband:We initially got in touch with Diane at On Call Hospitality for our wedding when we were planning to hire a team to prepare and serve the meal that we were going to order separately from a catering company (which did not provide their own staff). Diane spent a lot of time with us on the phone discussing various options for serving a plated, family style, or buffet style meal, and she shared a lot of helpful logistical advice about timing and recommended equipment. Most of all, she provided a fair estimate and we felt that we could trust her guidance on how many staff we would need and the number of estimate hours per person.Later, we decided it would be best to hire a full service caterer, and Diane graciously updated the estimate based on our request to provide only a bartender. During the few weeks before our wedding, we shared a final drink list and guest count with Diane and bartender Rob, and Rob provided his recommendation on the quantities of ingredients we should provide.On the day of the wedding, we received a lot of good feedback about bartender Rob. We had a sit down dinner for 60 with passed appetizers before and Diane and her staff at on call hospitality did such a superbly beautiful job we are so thrilled and excited that we chose them. Was planning a party for 45 guests and vacillating between a caterer and hiring a chef or sous chef and server. There was a very specific food experience I wanted and the catering options just weren't meeting up to what I envisioned. In comes Diane and from my first conversation knew I was in good hands! Huge pro'sSpeaking directly to the owners who really listened and helped you determine what the best support would be for an amazing event.Excellent customer service - All calls and emails returned promptly. Always friendly. It seemed I knew them for years!The quality of the people they contract with really makes them shine. We had a phenomenal chef and amazing server who took our menu and sourced ingredients and executed flawlessly! The chef (Robert) added his touches too which really brought the experience to the next level.My guests could not stop talking about how delicious the food was. I contracted with On Call Staffing for two servers to work my party for 80 people. Â I found them extremely helpful and easy to work with as we planned this rather complicated event. The bottom line is that I could not have been more pleased. Â Their two staffers arrived early, went right to work, knew exactly what they needed to do and, were extremely cordial and helpful to my family and guests. Â At the end of the evening, they cleaned everything, found the right location for the trash, and packed up the left overs. What a wonderful time I had at a party at our house for 70 people and it was all due to the amazingly professional staff from On Call! Hospitality. Erika was a star, George was excellent. We hired a bartender and two wait staff from OnCall! Staffing for our wedding in Livermore. Our point of contact, Diane, was easy to get ahold of, very helpful, and very accommodating. Our bartender, John, was all around great even though he was quite busy throughout the reception serving wine, champagne, and our home brewed beer. He didn't bat an eye when the beer started out pouring foam, and kept everyone happy and drinking. Faith and Doreen were friendly and on-board with whatever we needed, served food from our food trucks to guests quickly and easily, helped keep the venue clean, and took charge of the break-down process at the end of the day. We hosted a party at our house for 50 of our closest relatives, the night before our wedding.  We were staying in a hotel, my daughter was picking people up from the airport. ...a friend was picking up the food at a local restaurant....it was pretty chaotic. We hired one of Diane's crew  (Lynnea) to come to our house, meeting our daughter's girlfriend there, and then figure out how to put the food out, how to arrange the plates and cutlery, where to put the drinks, etc...all on her own!  We had never met Lynnea, but had been assured by Diane she could just take care of all that!  When we got there, everything was perfect...Lynnea and the girlfriend were chatting away; she'd thought of great solutions to space problems on her own, had thought to label the foods as vegetaran or not (we do live in Berkeley, after all!), and the atmosphere was so warm and welcoming...we were delighted.Through the evening she kept things stocked and cleaned and was so lovely and pleasant that she just blended in....it felt like she was our friend, just giving us a hand...NOT the "hired help".  When the party ended, and we were set to go off to our hotel (wedding tomorrow!!).... she'd already cleaned everything up, packaged up the leftovers, and was out the door with us.  We could NOT have been happier with the service form Diane in the up-front discussion and arrangements, and from Lynnea in the execution.  Oh, and the rates were completely reasonable!!We would SO definitely use this team again!!  Maybe for our first anniversay party!!! I was having a private party and decided to hire a bartender. A friend had recommended On Call Hospitality Staffing - a new women-owned business. Diane Harris is the owner of On Call! and I contacted her. The bartender she sent was friendly, efficient and kept everything moving smoothly. All my guests were impressed (this is not something I'd normally do) and it gave me the time to chat with folks I hadn't seen in awhile. The bartender also helped clean up after the party and it was a joy to have her. I can't say enough about how easy it was to work with Ms. Harris.
