My family and I are vacationing here from Ohio and stopped by. My husband, son and I enjoyed picking beautiful flowers- there are so many to choose from, we could’ve stayed all day! We got to meet Carolyn the owner and she was so friendly and sweet. She has everything you need to pick and build a beautiful vase of fresh flowers. A great place! This is my 2nd year coming here. It is easy to find. The variety of flowers is impressive. It makes it worth coming back to see what is blooming later. The prices are reasonable, usually no more than $3 for the most expensive stem cuts. Everything you need to pick the flowers is provided for no extra cost! There are cutting shears to snip buds, jugs or jars to take the flowers home in, and free water. More...

This place is about as Beth as it gets. It's got a boyfriend chair (in this case, a bench overlooking Leelanau bay) to keep my husband occupied. It's got beautiful views everywhere you turn your head and so much to capture the eyes (from the aforementioned view, to the gorgeous autumnal display in all other directions in the fall, to all the varieties of flowers blooming throughout the gigantic front yard).I love making my own bouquets. When I was in college, I'd go to the Farmer's Market late on Saturday as the vendors were closing up and get great deals on the last of the days flowers, then spend the whole rest of the day filling up my vibrant vases throughout my apartment). Shopping here was like that only better since I got to choose every last bloom myself! Everything is priced by the stem, (some are as little as 25 cents and some are as much as $2 and you keep track as you put your bouquets together since they have an honor-system for paying). I got two beautiful hands-full of flowers for $10 and had a delightful hour carefully curating each stem. Even late in the year there were still tons of flowers in bloom (lots of zinnias, some dahlias, hydrangea and so much more). They also have perennials for sale by the container.We will definitely stop here every time as we depart from Leelanau, a place so beautiful that we visit a few times per year. More...

Carolyn you're wonderful!!! The whole experience was great. She held 70 or so peonies for my July 1st wedding. They opened up so beautiful and 2 weeks out and they are still at my friends house looking beautiful. And then the day before the wedding family and friends went there and picked the most beautiful wild flowers of all sorts that we used for bridesmaids bouquets, table arrangements and for the wedding cake!! She also made my bouquet and everyone loved it!! Including me!! Everything turned out so beautiful for the wedding and I couldn't of done it without Carolyn's help!
