I was so nervous about a moving company moving my piano after another company destroyed my baby grand. Olympia came in and wrapped my piano thoroughly and didn't roll it. Five men carried it step by step carefully onto the truck lift. And off she went up into the truck. She arrived in perfect condition and I'm so happy with the movers politeness and the owners accurate quote. I was a little scared after reading all the bad reviews. My personal experience was much better. I was shipping my stuff from MN to CA. They gave me a very good price for service (some other companies were ridiculously expensive), and they delivered exactly what they promised. They showed up exactly on time when picking up, gave me a time frame for delivery (~15 business days), and delivered with everything in a good condition. Although only one guy showed up while delivering, he didn't complain and unloaded everything himself (with a little bit of help from me). Overall I am very satisfied and would recommend to anybody. Olympia movers were very courteous, they called when they were a half hour out, then they pulled up right where they were supposed to. I was very impressed, all three gentlemen introduced themselves,shaking my hand. All I had to do was sit down and stay out of the way. They were done in an hour loading. They wrapped up all my valuables. I was really impressed with the lead gentleman. He had his act together, not taking anything away from the other two. They finished in like four hours. They wouldn't let me lift anything. I was so impressed. I will definitely be using them in the future. Also tell others about their professionalism. We had an excellent experience with Olympia Moving. They were very professional. The movers came on time and started immediately to work. They worked in an efficient and professional manner. All the furniture was wrapped nicely, and nothing was scratched or dented. They placed all the furniture and boxes where we requested. The move took about 6 hours and they had us check the truck to make sure nothing was left behind. The guys went above and beyond my expectations.

I hired Olympia to move a very heavy buffet server made in 1925 from Chicago out to the suburbs. I received a call 30 minutes before they arrived. Driver was very courteous on the phone and in person. These 2 guys were GREAT! They very efficiently moved this heavy piece - not even a scratch! I'm really amazed at some of the negative reviews on here because our experience was the polar opposite. We were moving several heavy pieces of furniture from a residence to a business and Angel and his two colleagues were TOP NOTCH. They showed up half an hour early (after calling to confirm it was ok) and proceeded to move things carefully and efficiently both at the initial location and the destination. I expected that they'd package things up, but I was impressed with the extent to which they did--multiple layers of packing material and tight plastic kept our furniture clean and intact for the duration of the move. This was the 2nd time in 10 months that I have used Olympia Moving. They have not disappointed either time. I was given a window of 12:00-2:00 pm, but received a phone call advising me that due to the weather and the 1st job they were at, it would be closer to 2:00. Alphonso, the foreman, stayed in contact with me letting me know that due to the weather, they were running late. Granted, it was a monsoon outside so I wasn't upset. They got to my place and went right to work. They worked in an efficient and professional manner. All my furniture was wrapped nicely and nothing was scratched or dented. The placed all the furniture and boxes where I requested. The move took about 4 hours and they had me check the truck to make sure nothing was left behind.
I would highly recommend them. Plus, I received a repeat customer discount and a discount for writing a Yelp review.

I highly recommend Olympia Moving. It was my first time hiring a moving company, and I researched, called and got quotes from 6 companies in my area. Olympia had the best hourly rate, and the staff was very communicative and accommodating. The hourly rate does vary depending on time of the month (end of the month being more expensive), but even so, it was competitive relative to other companies I researched. I got confirmation calls the day before and day of the move. The movers were polite and hard working. They were very efficient. My move was expected to be 4 hours, and they fit that time frame to a "T". None of my furniture/boxes got damaged, but some insurance was included just in case. I was very pleased with the whole transaction and gave a big tip, even though that's not required. My new mother-in-law was very impressed with the good deal we got (the efficiency for the price) which made me proud of myself for finding Olympia :) Overall, very well done! More...

Awesome experience. Was sceptical initially after going through many reviews in internet abt different movers and heard some first hand experiences too. Shane was the sales guy. Gave him a hard time and every time I asked him.."can I trust ur company?"Kept my fingers crossed. Pick up time was 8am. they arrived at 7.59am. 2 hrs. Charged me only for extra packing and assembling they had to do. Very reasonable and just per the expectation set during sales cycle. Each and every staffs were handled real professionally with care.Reached Atlanta. Found an address. Mailed them new address and gave them the date of availability. It arrived next day of availability. Completely assembled again and took their own time.Overall awesome. We have used Olympia Moving & Storage many of times throughout the years for our commercial use. Those moves have consist of entire offices, multi floor units, apartment complex moves, in office moves, a few client homes, etc. Every time they have been efficient, courteous, paid attention to the items they were wrapping and hauling, they have taken apart and put back together many of the items we needed to be disassembled and reassembled.

There were a few items we truly thought there was no way of getting out, moved. They have moved items that were very large and heavy. All these moves were completed with no damaged. All of our clients have been extremely happy with their services.

We recommend them to everyone who is looking for a moving company. The inside and outside staff are very professional. We definitely will continue to use them again and again. If you are looking for a mover we recommend giving them a try. You will not be disappointed. More...

I hired My Chicago Movers to move me out of my Chicago apartment, store my things for one month, and then deliver it to my new apartment in Charlotte, NC. Overall, I had a positive experience with My Chicago Movers. The interactions that I had with the movers and with Shane were incredibly positive -- everyone was very helpful, kind, and professional. My primary issue was that I was not given a range of days/times for drop off as I was told, but instead I was contacted 24 hours before delivery and told that this time was my only option, despite the fact that I was out of town. The man I spoke with claimed that he had been trying to call me for days, but I had received no calls so I'm not sure how to explain that. I was able to speak with someone from the office in Chicago who was very understand and helpful and she allowed a friend of mine to accept the delivery for me. All items arrived in Charlotte with only a few scuffs on some wooden furniture and only one small shelf damaged beyond repair. Again, overall a pleasant experience with everyone that I worked with directly, but I was very disappointed with how I was treated in terms of scheduling the delivery date. More...
