Went in for a cut (i go every 3-4 months) and specifically told the stylist to not cut too much off, please only a trim, multiple times. .... multiple (i had long hair up to my shoulder and wanted to keep a majority of the length) the stylist took it upon himself to cut a significant amount more (appx 2in) all while ensuring me to trust him. Going completely opposite of what i had asked for. I model and need to keep my hair relatively the same as my casting cards so there is no surprises when i audition for roles. Once he took the first big chunk off there was nothing i could do and i sat in silence while very visibly upset, at no point did the stylist try to remedy or reflect upon what he had done. Today was my first time at Olivier Salon in Ft. Lauderdale. I was hesitant to get my hair done after previously going to two salons and having it destroyed. Third time is definitely a charm in my case, I am thrilled with my hair. My new stylist Wendy is phenomenal!!! I went in and and was greeted by the friendly staff and offered a refreshment. Wendy brought me to her chair where she examined my hair and we made a game plan to help me achieve my desired look. This was going to be a big color correction to fix brassy, splotchy highlights. Once she worked her magic, I was left with the most beautiful balayage and perfect cut! I couldn't believe it! I am so happy with everything about my new hair! I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. I just recently moved to Fort Lauderdale and almost exhausted every beauty salon around the area. Until I found this place, everyone is very professional and customer service has always been wonderful. Especially, Nikita my nail technician!!! I'm absolutely love her! This might be a broad statement but, she is the best nail technician I've ever had. She is very clean and precise when doing nails. She really does an extraordinary job and takes her time with you. Beautiful salon and the staff are so sweet and pleasant ! I have been following my ride or die nail girl, Niketa. She is FABULOUS AF ! ! I can not express enough the time, attention and detail she puts in to her clients. She is truly amazing and cannot thank her enough for her services time and time again. She NEVER disappoints !! She isn't the kind to rush you out of the chair for the next client to walk in. She takes her time and thoroughly goes over your nails to make sure they are in the best shape. She is a representation of Olivier Salon and they should be so thrilled to have her as part of their staff/family as her work ethic is superb ! The salon is beautifully designed and an open concept that is a clean feeling. No clutter around and a comfortable couture feeling and not snobbish which is nice considering some places in this area ! I haven't had the pleasure yet on any other services but plan to try a blow dry or possible "trim" - I amSuper OCD with my hair - LOLBoth Niketa and I have been busy with schedules so it's been over a month or so for me being back in and glad to see they've added more colors to their collection of polish. I had to bring my son with me yesterday as I have a wedding and no babysitter and my nails were a MUST! Our team members have a passion for hair artistry and design. We love to transform the brides and bridal parties for the most special day of their life.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I started my career being trained and working in various renowned Paris salons. I worked as a trainer at salons around the world for Jacques Dessange before settling in New York City where I worked at top salons for many years. I have styled at Frederick Fekkai, Red Door and Pierre Michele Salons. In addition to a large salon clientele, I styled top celebrities in their NYC homes.
After years of working in NYC, I moved to Fort Lauderdale where I wanted to combine the luxury of a New York City style salon with the top stylists in South Florida and Olivier Salon an Spa was born!
