Within minutes, Bryndon helped us train our new puppy, Cinco. She is a mini Bernedoodle and has a lot of energy! Bryndon was commanding but kind, showing us the best way to train Cinco at her age (4 months) and us, with positive training methods that worked immediately. Bryndon's expertise gave us the confidence to continue training, making life with a puppy much easier and more fun. We can't recommend him highly enough. Thank you Bryndon! More...

Just finished the 6-session package and I can't say enough of how awesome Bryndon is to work with. Our puppy (8-months when we started the training) was a nightmare to walk with, barked at anything/everything that walked by our home, jumped all over our guests, and was stressful to try and train. In comes Bryndon and right away showed us what we were doing wrong, how our puppy would better respond, and even adjusted his approach to get our puppy to follow commands. Fast forward to today--we can get our puppy to go to her mat on command and stay, walks are pleasant, and she knows that unwanted behavior will not get her what she wants (e.g. treats, attention, petting, etc.). Can't say enough positive things about Bryndon and his approach. If you have a concern about your dog not behaving the way YOU want, then I'd definitely give OC Canine Coaching a call and sign up. Results are awesome. Love our dog...now we just enjoy her even more now that she listens to our commands. More...

Words cannot express how lucky we are to have found Bryndon!  We adopted our dog Finley from a boxer rescue knowing he had some mild behavioral issues but thinking we could handle it. ..When we brought him home we discovered he was actually very leash aggressive towards DOGS AND PEOPLE on walks which was not great considering we live in a condo community. From the beginning Bryndon took the time to get to know Finn slowly(Finn had previously jumped and lunged at another trainer who approached him a little too quickly) and let him get comfortable with him.  He helped us realize that Finn just didn't know how to react to new people and dogs and that we needed to work on positive associations with those things.Bryndon was not only patient with Finn but with us as well since we needed a lot of training too to get Finn to pay attention to us.  He never rushes through any of our training sessions and has been very accommodating with our schedules. It has taken a bit of time to get where we are at now(we just finished our 7th session with him) but Finn has made HUGE improvements and today he actually got to interact and play with another dog!  Which really seemed like an impossible task in the beginning.   We are excited to continue working on Finn on our own and will be calling Bryndon to help us in introducing Finn in a safe manner with potential doggy friends :) More...

I sent OC Canine Coaching a message through the website on Thursday. Bryndon called the following day. During our phone conversation, we discussed my 4 husky/lab mixes and the issues I have been having with them: digging holes, eating my house, jumping on visitors, escaping the yard, dog-friendly landscaping and their pulling on the leash during walks. He texted me later on that day that he had an opening the following day and I accepted it. We met at my home (obviously) on Saturday. First, he observed the dogs from inside my house. There was a TON of activity going on inside my house - lots of kids, a loud video game and ac installers. Bryndon was completely focused on the dogs and that made me feel better about the least ideal situation. After observing the dogs, he ventured into my super big but sad backyard (dirt and drought-starved fruit trees).  He gave EXCELLENT instructions about diverting the dogs' attention from digging, eating the house, nutrition, play toys, walking the dogs on a lead, where to buy everything and next steps for training them. I was so relieved ! I would definitely recommend OC Canine Coaching. I will definitely hire Bryndon again. He is a wealth of excellent information and I felt 100% comfortable working with him and my 4 crazy dogs. More...

Upon moving back to California, my older dog's behavior was horrible. We moved into a studio apartment that has thin walls and she started barking constantly from people walking down the hallway, the UPS man, trucks, etc. Her reactivity was also high as she was triggered by any dog that would bark at her. I tried everything that I could, spent a lot of money on things that didn't work, and then decided that I needed to find someone that could help. After a really frustrating morning, I was getting my car washed and jumped on Yelp and found Bryndon's profile and read the reviews. It seemed that a lot of people have put their faith in him, and I decided to give him a call. We met shortly thereafter and my dog started to respond to his corrections within about 15 minutes. It is funny that something can change so fast. But the key is to use the right methods for that change. The outcome is that I don't have to fear getting calls from the management office with complaints about my dog. Instead I now have become hyper aware of all the dogs that we should stay away from because their owners haven't taken the time and put in the effort to help their four-legged friend.Again, I highly recommend Bryndon's help! I adopted a 2 year old white fluff ball of love, Baci, two months ago from a rescue group.  I quickly learned that he had overexcitement/reactivity issues when it came to seeing other dogs while out on walks.  If my dog saw another dog, didn't matter how far away, he would pull on the leash at full sprint until he got to that dog.  Once he was able to sniff and say hello, Baci walked away fine.  Sure I didn't like the pulling, but at least Baci wasn't an aggressive dog upon meeting.  The big issue I found is when Baci was not allowed to meet the dog, either because the other person walking toward us said no, or the other dog and owner were not in our direct path.  If I kept Baci away from meeting this dog, he went wild- barking, whining, jumping, pulling.  It made him look like he was an aggressive dog, and it made me look like I couldn't control him.  When looking for a dog trainer/behaviorist, I scanned Yelp and made lots of calls.  Don't get me wrong I was tempted to use the celebrity dog trainer, or other trainers who have 100+ reviews, but all those trainers had a few things in common- they were a lot more money up front, and they use the "pack leader" type of training.  Which is great if you like that type of training, but there's another, more positive, way to teach your dog you are in control, without cornering your dog into a corner and forcing him stay for 30 minutes (I watched the videos). On eval day, Bryndon used stuffed animal dogs to see Baci's reaction, and practice the correct way to approach.  I didn't think Baci would react to a fake dog, but he did- wildly barking, uncontrollable.  In the same session after some work, we were able to have Baci meet another dog, a real one, on leash WITHOUT an episode. After a 4 session package with Bryndon, Baci has improved tremendously since I first got him.  There's a lot of people who are against modern dog training (which do involve a clicker and treats), but don't worry, you are not using treats and clickers for life. Bryndon shows you how to wean out the clicker in the end.The very first day I took Baci to Fashion Island (before Bryndon), Baci pulling through that mall running, sniffing every dog, and barking.  Now I've been taking Baci there almost daily, and he walks through the mall with me.  I have gotten so many compliments from people at Fashion Island about how well behaved my dog is.  There was one time with Bryndon at Fashion Island there was this little Chihuahua puppy coming towards us, and I saw Baci perk up and get excited (I would have too, it was CUTE), but I got Baci to sit and stay, and that Chihuahua walked right past us about 6 feet away and Baci did not even move.  I am so happy with Baci's improvement.  He's not 100% but we are on our way there.  Walks are no longer debilitating and I feel like I can take him anywhere freely.  If I had to make some criticisms it would be that the sessions are exactly an hour.  I know that is what you pay for but sometimes it felt like it needed to be longer.  There were times I felt "No wait! You're so good with Baci, don't leave me yet!"  Obviously, him not running over in time allows him to be on time for other appointments (he is busy, but always on time). There were times, though, during training other people would see him with Baci being so well behaved that they came up to Bryndon with questions about dog training.  Which is great, I'm all for him promoting his services, he even gave me some of his cards and I happily pass them out to people I know. But time with him is so valuable, that sometimes I would get antsy and want the person to stop asking him questions.  The time lost however, is made up with how available Bryndon is by e-mail, phone, or text.  There were a number of times where I've called Bryndon in a panic when I am out with Baci and a scenario happens, he answers his phone and walks me through what to do.  The time I saw a new bad behavior in Baci, Bryndon was over the very next morning to assess it.Bryndon will love your dog as much as you do. His approach allows you to get straight to the issue you want changed, and he doesn't dilly-dally on other minor "bad" behaviors that you don't care to have fixed (i.e. dog spinning in circles when he sees the leash, jumping up on the couch without you asking). Bryndon has a way of modifying your dog's behavior, without changing your dog's personality, and still letting a dog be a dog.  As if this review hasn't gone long enough, I want to add-  After our last session, I sat with Baci and some other person with their dog at Fashion Island to talk training.  This person had used the celebrity trainer.  She said while he was good and her dog can follow all these great commands, her dog still jumps on other dogs upon meeting which is what she wanted fixed in the first place. In the end I am happy I chose Bryndon to help me fix this issue. Baci no longer has as many episodes, and he still spins in circles for his leash. :) More...

After finishing a package of six lessons over 10 weeks I signed up for another package. The main reason is I am just beginning to gain the confidence to correct the situation on a consistent basis. One reason for that is I have come to appreciate how much Jack appreciates boundaries. Bryndon could tell the clicker training was not natural for me so he made adjustments to help me to feel comfortable. He knows sits...the foundation for everything. He is walking without pulling unless I get lazy and let him. He is barking less when he wants to play with the ball. And we have just begun to tackle the separation anxiety issue. My wife and I adopted a 1 yr old male boxer pup from a rescue shelter last May.  Immediately after bringing him home we noticed he had a few serious and not so serious issues that needed fixing if he was going to stay with our family.  He is a 75 pound very hyper boxer that also had not been properly socialized with dogs or humans.  He would try to dominate most dogs he came into contact with and was very hesitant towards humans (some growling and his hair would stand up).  We enlisted the help of Bryndon and this saved our dog.  He was able to first teach our dog all the obedience commands (sit, stay, lay down, proper leash walking and so on), which made a humongous difference in our dog. His gentle, yet leadership style of training allowed my dog to respect him and made him want to listen. More importantly, he turned our dog into a respectful and loving pet.  He socialized him, even brought his own dog to training sessions to help my boxer learn how to play nicely. We did a ton of off leash training and now I can have my dog off leash in any environment.  Also, we did sessions at the dog parks and he taught our dog how to play well with all dogs and be friendly with humans.  It was not an overnight thing because nothing is when it comes to animals with bad habits. However, he completely changed our pet beyond what I thought was possible and now we have the perfect pet.  I would never hire any other dog trainer than Bryndon!!! More...

OC Canine Coaching was invaluable in helping me manage my new Malti-poo pup Lucy. I was having potty training issues, plus Lucy was a bit of a stubborn dog.  Bryndon was very engaging, and with his great technique, she quickly picked up cues from him.  She certainly is easier to handle now!                                            I appreciated Bryndon's attentiveness and guidance in applying what Lucy has learned to our everyday activities. Most importantly training has helped Lucy become an integral part of our family. I could not be happier with OC Canine! More...

OC Canine Coaching and it's trainer is very friendly, professional, and effective! I adopted a little Malti-poo and had a lot of trouble potty training the dog as well as struggled with some puppy issues with chewing/biting, barking, and just general "how do I train this new baby? !" Bryndon came over to my apartment, evaluated my current set up and advised on a better way to set up the puppy area, taught me how to effectively communicate with my dog, and worked with my little Tofu to teach her how to sit, lay down, and fetch. I was surprised at how fast he was able to train my puppy!! His advice helped me a lot in raising my puppy. If I adopted another puppy I would call OC Canine! They made it easier to train and love your puppy! More...
