Loved it! Food was definitely one of the best Mediterranean I've had, not gonna say the best cause I've had plenty good ones. But I have to say service was definitely 5***** (*=stars). The decoration setting was not fancy but clean, the way I like it. Will definitely be back again if I'm in the area. More...
Better than DishDash IMO. Smaller. More private. Better service. Food is UNREAL, especially the mansaf, kebabs, and salads.
Food was good. Only think I didn't like is the place is small
Food is good in taste and quality...but i feel it little over priced.
Their lamb shawarma, biriyani, baba ghanouj are really good. Never too crowded in evenings. Always serve with a smile. My fav mediterranean restaurant in bay area.
Great food! Among the best Mediterranean places in Sunnyvale. Sawarma and beryani are really good!
My coworker and I came here for lunch and it was great! We were seated right away and brought water. I had the chicken shawarma with fries and my coworker had the lamb shawarma. Both dishes were delicious and the customer service was excellent. I can't wait to go back again! More...
- Saltani ($26) chicken kabob & beef koobideh- Mango yogurt drink ($4)- Side salad ($5) it was ok, but could've skipped itCame on a Friday evening at 8:30pm. Surprised how many ppl were dining and still more ppl entered after we did because they close at 9pm! This is definitely a hidden gem in a random shopping plaza. Plenty of parking. When we came to eat, most of the stores in the plaza were closed! We ordered the saltani, which is definitely good for two people to share! The meats (chicken kabob & beef koobideh) were very flavorful! It was nice to have rice and veggies to complement the meats! The green sauce on the side was a nice touch! The mango yogurt drink (similar to a mango lassi at Indian restaurants) was freshly made and it was sooo good!! We also got a small complimentary basket of thin lavash bread and a olive oil dip! The side salad we got was ok and nothing special, but I wouldn't order it again. There was only one guy taking all of the orders and serving everyone. So service was a bit slow. But he was super friendly and definitely made sure we were happy with our meal. They're only open on the weekdays. I really wished they were also open on Saturdays and Sundays.Overall, we were surprised at how delicious the food was! I'm definitely a fan and can't wait to try more of the dishes here! More...
Come on, Sunnyvale! No reason we should have been the only people in this gem on a Friday night! We split the combo plate that had Kufta, chicken kebab and lamb kebab, with basmati rice, vegetables (carrots, spinach, cauliflower, onions), almonds and green sauce and everything was PERFECT. Service was great, ambience was pleasant enough for a strip mall restaurant. We struggled finding a good restaurant near our hotel that wasn't 3 stars or ridiculously overpriced, and we chose this place. ZERO reason not to try it, Sunnyvale. Go!! More...
For those who know me and my style, they know that I place utmost importance in customer service and friendly ambience. Food, of course, is a critical element of my enjoyment at a restaurant, but those two elements come close behind. Well Obed Mediterranean Cuisine exceeded my expectations in all 3 fronts! The owner is super friendly. I chose this place as my farewell party from Intel, and I really wanted a super fun and great time with my colleagues/friends. First of all, everyone absolutely loved the food; we tried a variety including Mansaf (slow cooked lamb in yogurt sauce), chicken kabob, vegetarian sambuseh, and finished with baklava with Turkish coffee. Everything is delicious by the way! Last but not least, the owner is fantastic. His smile and attentiveness make all of his patrons have a wonderful time here. I would not hesitate recommending this place to anyone who wants a quick lunch to hosting a party here. The owner would ensure your having a great time and wonderful food! More...
This tiny place is a gem! Had dinner here recently and sat at my favorite table. Wanted to try Chicken Koobideh but it sold out! Ordered instead Chicken Shawarma Plate $17. When it was served on the table, the chicken smelled sooo good! And when I tasted it, it was divine! The spinach, carrots, red onions and cauliflower are perfectly cooked! Basmati rice is also good. Green dipping sauce is perfect! Just the right tartiness. Obed is the first that I know of when it comes to Persian food, serves cooked veggies instead of fresh salad. I find it unique and food presentation is vibrant! Generous amount of thin sliced bread and unique bread dipping sauce. Good service and friendly owners. When it comes to mediterreanean food, this is my number one now. Food here is solid! Too bad it closes on weekends. More...
My food was great, I had lamb and chicken. Big portions couldn't fining everything.Closed on weekends so don't show up on.

Came with a co-worker on his need for some Med food.In a non-descript rather run down mall in central Sunnyvale, surprised the mall and store front seems from the good ole days, will be razed or remodeled soon. The food was tasty, got a lamb kabob, wasn't tasty just right medkum rare over rice and veggies.High value, great service, great taste, the only thing not getting one more star was I've had a bit more tender kabobs before, but will repeat if Med is my itch More...
Obed is a nice restaurant tucked away in a strip mall not that easily visible from the road. The food is good and so is the service. The chicken kebab plate is my favorite. The Mansaf is good too. My kids love the zatar olive oil dip along with the hummus plate. This place is not too busy for dinner which is ideal for families with children, but don't let the less crowded restaurant deter you, the food is good and so is the service. More...
Muy rica comida atención excelente lo recomiendo tanto para ir somo como en familia
One of the best meals I have had in recent memory. Was visiting Santa Clara for music competition with the family. We have never been to Santa Clara before and used yelp to find a restaurant. We were just in San Francisco and ate at several iconic spots with great food and would place this close to those. Small strip mall with anchoring Taj Mahal market. Ambience is good but casual. Nice music piped in and very friendly staff. We had sampler platter appetizer which was great. The best was the chicken shawarma followed by the lamb. Not the fanciest place i have been in but phenomenal tasting and budget friendly. Would likely plan stop here on future trips to San Fran. More...
Amazing vegetarian food. All the items we ordered were delicious and full of flavor. Babaghanough was one of the best I have had. Good quick service and our server was very friendly. More...
Obed Mediterranean Cuisine is an authentic mediterranean restaurant with amazingly authentic flavors. I was in town on business and am originally from Florida. I ordered the chicken schwarma which comes with basmati rice, grilled veggies, green and red (spicy) sauce. The chicken was exploding with flavor. The rice and veggies had tremendous flavor, as well. I spread the green sauce over both the chicken and veggies (which were laid on top of the basmati rice) though I did taste them with and without the sauce. Even though I didn't put the red (spicy) sauce on my dish, I did taste it for determining the level of heat. I would rate the red sauce as 3.5 to 4 out of 5 on heat level. Definitely taste it before putting it on your dish. The restaurant is very intimate and cozy. I loved the authentic music that was played and the portraits on the wall enhance the mediterranean feel. I will warn you that the restaurant has fans but doesn't appear to have central air conditioning. You definitely won't be cold when dining in. The waiter was very patient and friendly. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is in the area. More...
Consistently delicious kebabs and really good black tea. Highly recommend
We had a large party of 10 for a lunch and the service was excellent. The food was really good and the prices were very fair for the portions. The lamb kebob as well as the Mediterranean platter appetizer were my favorite dishes! We'll definitely be back! More...

Glad to have found another place to get Mansaf!!
Beriyani and Turkish coffee! Yum!
Great food, friendly services, first time there and really enjoyed it.
I Love the food,
Loved the Falafel wrap
kind and new taste
Excellent Mansaf- creamy, rich and the meat tender. Excited to try out other items in the menu.
Tasty food. Decent prices. It is pretty noisy during lunch though. It was very difficult to have a lunch conversation.
Very good food and service, reasonable price. The lamb kebab was flavorful and tender, I really enjoyed the dish. Will come back for sure.
Great spot to grab good Mediterranean food. Great service. We ordered the chicken biryani and chicken shawarma wrap and they were both on point.
Had lunch today with my friend and we had the most amazing kabobs ever! try the chicken kabob and lamb kabob combo and the manzaf those are delicius dishes. service is fast and super friendly. More...
This cozy Mediterranean restaurant is tucked away into a nondescript business plaza but the food has so much flavor that it easily rivals other Sunnyvale spots like dish dash. We ordered the mansaf and kufta kabob and they were very delicious. Their wine pours are generous and their sampler of babaganoush, tahini, falafel, etc. was well worth it. More...
Got the beef dish (koobideh and barg). Absolutely delicious and juicy. I ate the entire plate! Would definitely come here again. Menu pictured is as of Feb 2019.
Cozy friendly amazing staff, probably also the owner. Never had a bad moment here. Our favorite here is Mansaf, little salty for those who dont like it, we love it. Birini is on the sweeter side. Closed on weekends More...
Decent food but little congested place. Be prepared to wait before you get table

Lamb shawarma was good! Prices not bad 11-16 range and times were decent 10 minutes wait. Would go back
This place has really authentic, tasty meals and feels like a small mom and pop family restaurant. The servers are very attentive, and the food gets to your table quickly once you order it!
Went here for a dinner. Ordered chicken shawarma wrap and it was delicious! Place wasn't crowded when I went. There was only one waiter and he greeted everyone with a smile and a positive energy throughout the time I was there.Had a Baklava for dessert. It was cold and slightly thick, but good nonetheless. Will definitely visit again for the great food and service! More...
I cannot recommend this restaurant strongly enough. More than just good Mediterranean food. It is exceptional. Highly recommended and Andrien the owner is a charming host!
The Babaganoush is a must have here! Everything is made to order and fresh. Friendly staff and very welcoming. I love coming to this place for lunch and dinner.
My colleague and I came here for lunch on a Friday and as it is with most restaurants, this place was packed with people from companies nearby. It is a fairly small restaurant located in the Fair Oaks Plaza Complex. We waited for a few minutes before we got to our table. The ambiance is rather dull for me. This place is good for a quick pitstop or takeouts but not for any special dining or to celebrate a special occasion as such.Rating the following out of 5:AMBIANCE - 3Dull set up with dark colored walls. The ambiance is mediocre.FOOD - 4Shawarma Chicken - 4My colleague ordered this and liked it. This is served along with either salad or French Fries.Chicken Beriani - 4The chicken in the almond and yogurt sauce was very good but slightly sour from the yogurt. It was also very heavy! I was super full by the time I finished. The rice was warm and flavorful.CUSTOMER SERVICE - 4Quick service!WAIT TIME - 3Little wait on a Friday during lunchtime.HYGIENE - 4PARKING - 5Since the restaurant is located inside a shopping complex, it is easy to find a parking spot. Love this place. Limited vegetarian options. Flavorful food.
Great food, reasonable pricing, good service
Friendly staff, tasty food.
Came here on a Friday night for dinner - wasn't too busy, but the area is very nice and clean. Waiter greeted us right away. They give you lavash bread and an oil herb dip (not sure what this is called) as a mini appetizer which is nice! I ordered the chicken koobideh (ground chicken kabob) rice plate. It came with rice, veggies, cilantro sauce, and meat. Meat was very good! It was super tasty and I liked the quality. Veggies were also good. Rice was okay for me. Overall, I loveedd the taste of the dish. The sauce I was a big fan of too! However, giving 4 stars because I feel like for the amount you pay ($15 before tax/tip), you don't get very much. So it's a little pricy; I feel like the rice was really scarce and if I wasn't on a low carb diet that day it would definitely not have been enough LOL. They also gave very little veggies, and my friend had gotten a lot more than me for her plate so that would have been nice to be consistent. Also, my friend ordered one of the wraps with fries. Though the fries were very good (tasted like good Mcdonald style fries), they gave VERY little for her plate. But, overall I wouldn't mind coming back if I was in the area. Service was good as well. Amazing food. Great service. What else do you need?
The ambiance/decor could be better.
Excellent little spot in a nondescript strip mall in Santa Clara. Don't go by looks though, the food is just amazing. I had the chicken shwarma wrap with a side of salad. Let me start with the salad, it was fresh, but the dressing was kicker, and they had bits of crispy taco type croutons in there which made it even better. The chicken shwarma wrap was delicious as well, some of the really good, well seasoned ones I've had in my recent memory. They had some very interesting looking classic dishes as well which I'll be back to try out! More...
Not bad for lunch, nothing special though.
Tasty good quality food
Oh yeah, all the other reviews are legit -- this establishment is a favorite of ours (read: at least once a week). Let me count the ways -- 1. FOOD -- others rave about their Mansaf, lamb shanks, etc. I've had those and I loved them, but I cannot get past their Lamb Kebobs. It might appear simple, but the taste goes on deep into the meat. It also comes with a strangely tasty side spinach and carrots that is between a salad and a cooked side. 2. SERVICE -- tableside service is quick and friendly, and very charming. Also loved talking to the chef. ...and the best thing about this is LOCATION. It might be in a run-down strip mall, but it is right across the street from us. No problem with parking. Take-outs are also always a good option, especially during peak hours. And believe me, their food travels well. We love these guys, and we love their food. We'll keep coming. More...
I'll keep the review simple, really good food and really great service during the lunch hour. Handled a group of 6 with no problems.
Hidden gem... Much better than Dish Dash and other bigger restaurant
Delicious and satisfying flavours.
Great food. Decent prices. Very good staff.
Tried this place on a Friday night. Loved the food ordered a falafel wrap and veg sambusa it was the best. Really old veg options good tasty food. Must go place for Mediterranean food better than most of the places at Sunnyvale More...
Food is amazing, super flavorful and wholesome, and waiters are very friendly. The chicken kubideh is beautiful, and I've had a lot of chicken kubideh in my life.
Got the recommended mansaf. The lamp was really tender soaked in sour soup made of yogurt. The rice in the center had a nice aroma.Highly recommend. The waiter was really friendly too. The only downside is that it located in a rundown strip mall and there wasn't much to do around. More...
Why isn't this place packed all the time? This is a little gem in an out-of-the-way strip mall I had one of the best meals in a long time last night. The main type of cuisine is Lebanese and some Persian options. I tried the host's recommendation, Mansaf, a Lebanese specialty of lamb with yogurt sauce around a mountain of saffron basmati rice. It was DIVINE and my dining companions enjoyed what I shared with them, too!The others had kebabs and a potato filled pastry called sambusah (like samosa). This is a no fuss, clean place with ample portions and well prepared food. Check it out! More...

Sooo yummy! This chicken beriani . This was my first time having it and Lawdy!! I'm so happy! Get the hot sauce too!
The food here is authentic to the bone!My husband and I split the Saltani and an assorted appetizer; both were delicious. Definitely coming back and recommending this place to my friends and family!

Had a delicious tahiti-goodness filled chicken shawarma wrap here. Served with a side salad with pomegranate sauce made for a delightful and wholesome lunch.
Before I went there, I wasn't sure whether the restaurant serves good food. The first impression was "the place was too dark." However, after the food came, we were impressed by the taste! The lamb was juicy that you can eat without sauce (it also goes well with the sauce:)) I will definitely come again! More...

Great flavors, very friendly staff. Will return
Had dinner there yesterday. The food was amazing and we got very personable service. Highly recommend!!!
We stopped by on the way to SFO. A simple restaurant in an old mall. However, the establishment is very well maintained. Further, both of our dishes were very good. I can see making this a stopping place when passing through. More...
Found this place on yelp as it's in the middle where a couple of my friends lived. So we met up here for dinner. It was a little weird as it was 7 pm and the place was empty. And even though the shopping plaza had plenty of other restaurant options, we decided to give this place a try. They have a good selection of entrees. We all decided on wraps. They got the koufta and I got the lamb schwarma. And it comes with your choice of fries or a salad. Fries were delish and they sprinkle some kind of spice over it. Salad looked really good - more than just wilted iceberg lettuce. So we got to swap half of our wraps so I got to try both the koufta and the lab. I definitely liked my lamb better. The koufta is ground beef and lamb with spices in like sausage form. I found the lamb to be more flavorful. And they fill the wrap with different veggies. Pretty good. And out meal cost about $15 per person. As the night went on, more people came in, thank goodness and quite a few got food to go also. Service was great and they let us sit around and chat a bit after we paid the check since it wasn't that busy. More...
another great experience! chicken kebab plate was so good, my companion did not leave one grain of rice! nothing fancy, but really good food.
Best good quality.Best ambiance.Fantastic service and very friendly staff and owner.Decent price for the quality of food.Place is really a hole in the wall place. It is kind of in a location which is between residential areas. Food quality is awesome, we have tried chicken kabobs, Mansaf and biryani. Very unique taste and very good representation. Owners and staff is very friendly, they will not rush you into anything. I think all their customers are repeat customers. Definitely a five star place. More...
Delicious dishes. Very tasty food and good environment. Amicable staff. Reasonable price for a good quality.
This place is awesome. The food is very tasty and quite healthy as far as I can tell; prices are a little higher than other mediterranean places I've gone to around here, but I've come back several times because it's worth it. Recommended!
Went here with folks from work. Simple non-nonchalant on the outside but professional and squeaky clean on the inside. We ordered a few falafel, chicken & lamb wraps and plates after an appetizer platter. Everything was excellent except the lamb shawarma wrap. 1 less star for well done lamb chunks in a shawarma wrap. I've never had a lamb shawarma wrap with chewy lamb pieces. A very nice restaurant otherwise! More...
During the week, if you wanted Dish Dash for dinner, but it was too crowded... go here! Seriously, this is just as good as Dish Dash with a few differences. A classic hidden gem.
My fav Mediterranean place! Two things I really like about this place is food always tastes the same and whenever you go the owner always welcomes you with a nice smile. Their service is pretty fast and quality is amazing. I always like to order different things from the menu when I go to the same place BUT at this restaurant it's always Chicken Kabob. I tried lamb, beef and falafel platters but food r me Chicken Kabob is the winner! Rice is perfectly cooked, soft chicken & roasted almonds with veggies is delicious ok time to have one more chicken kabob. More...
Food is great, wine is sub-par. Decor is average. Seats aren't super comfortable, but there were few people on a Thursday night. I would recommend this location if you are hard of hearing. No external noise, like music.
They were out of lamb shanks so I got my second choice, mansaf. When I've gotten that in the past it was in the form of lamb shanks but this was in pieces. The lamb Shawarma was good- had a very large amount of meat. More so than the mansaf. When we arrived they gave us zaatar and oil with not very appealing looking flatbread pieces. Shawarma came with a pretty tasty sauce in a very small portion on the side. Almonds are used on the top of almost everything. we chose to get it without the almonds.
Behringer was an option for wine in pinot grigio. $30 a bottle. Got the Cabernet because zinfandel didn't come by the glass. It was not very good but was drinkable. $8 a glass. Service was not great. They were a little slow to bring the check. The waiter was happy to explain the dishes to us- such as the barberries on the chicken dish. More...

Amazingly cooked food.
Vegetarian Sambusak is yummm.

Solid Mediterranean offerings, delicious flavors, limited wine and beer list, every thing we had was enjoyed y all. Ask for extra tzatziki if you get the lamb skewers.
Great Mediterranean food...
My go-to place for kabobs.
Delicious, cozy, friendly place!
Come here. This is a very good hole in the wall restaurant! You will not regret it :)
Great food, lamb is great and the service is excellent
Enjoyed appetizers platter. Kofta kebab plate was flavorful. Lamb shank was tender in some parts, a little chewy in other, but liked the sauce.
Awesome food! Awesome service!
Really good food.

Fantastic food and service in a strip mall. If you care more about the food and service, than fancy surroundings, then this is the place to go.
Very tasty food, but there is some stiff competition in the Mediterranean food game around these parts. While my chicken schwarma wrap was very tasty, between it and the fries I was still left a little hungry. For 12 bucks I would expect to get filled up a little more. The wrap also didn't have the best ratio of protein to veggies, and was like 50% lettuce. That said, the yogurt sauce and other seasoning made for one of the better tasting wraps I have had. If I were in the area I may come back, but in the meantime I will be sticking to my other favorite Mediterranean joints. More...

It's a small establishment, with loads of tables squeezed in. This because it's a popular place to go have a working lunch. The food is Excellent, and this means that there can be a wait for a table if it's a peak period. But the wait is really worth it!
Staff are friendly and accommodating, and the place is clean.

My friend and I try to sample new-to-us restaurants regularly for lunch, so we tried Obed's last Wednesday. We were both delighted by our food--I had the Schwarma Lamb wrap, and she had the Chicken Biryani, and the flavors were just amazing! So, yesterday the family gathered to go out to dinner, and wanted Mediterranean, and we went back. We got Schwarma Chicken and Khofte (sp?) wraps and plates, and their appetizer sampler to share, and OMG it was even better the second time around! Everything was homemade, fresh, and flavorful, and plentiful! I think I could have made a meal just with the appetizer plate, but then I would have had to fight everyone else to keep them from tasting it! Definitely going back! More...
This unimposing little spot has fabulous food and family friendly service. We started with the Mediterranean Platter appetizer, which came with super thin flat bread, tabouleh, baba ganoush, tzatziki, hummus, tomatoes, olives, falafel and cucumber. The herbs in the tabouleh were very fresh and all the dips were delightful. For our entrees, I ordered the chicken biryani. My fellow Yelpers, let me assure you that this dish lives up to the hype. The yogurt sauce for the chicken had a perfectly balanced, delicate blend of spices. The chicken was tender and the rice was fresh. My husband had the lamb shawarma plate, which was super tasty with the green dipping sauce served alongside it. The meat was juicy and the dish was accompanied by fresh baby spinach, carrots, a roasted tomato and more of that delicious rice. For dessert we shared the pistachio ice cream with baklava crumble, which was very nice as well. Service was friendly and attentive. I think I've found my new shawarma spot. We will definitely be back!! More...

Very good food at reasonable price. Friendly staff and mgmt. I have been eating there for the past few years for lunches.
Excellent chicken salad with lots of olives. Chicken was warm and moist with a great Yogurt dressing.
my husband had the shawarma lamb wrap. he felt like it had too much yogurt sauce. on the other hand, i loooooved the yogurt sauce with my beef beriani. the beef was tender and the golden raisins really added to the dish. hubby gave his wrap a 3, and i gave mine a 5, so we are averaging it out to a 4 star meal! Good service and amazing food. Ours was a little late because the chef made the wrong dish. Ide rather have it right and late :) food was phenomenal
This would be our third time at this establishment and we have been amazed at the flavor profiles presented with each dish. This last visit we ordered something neither my wife nor myself have tried before. The wife ordered a Chicken Beriani and Mansaf for me.The chicken Beriani was a little on the bland side but the flavor was completely foreign to the wife. She enjoyed trying something new.The Mansaf was very tasty. The only problem I had with the dish was that there were tiny bits of bone still in the lamb. I actually had one stick in my gums. Other than that an outstanding meal. More...

There's a lot of great places like this in Sunnyvale and I'll be coming back to this one. Great falafel
Food here is very high quality. The only complaint I have is that most dishes are too salty. We had lamb shank, chicken kabob and a side salad. Chicken kabob came with rice and warm mixed vegetables. Lamb shank was accompanied by rice and salad. The sauce on the very tender lamb shank was cooked with eggplant and crushed tomatoes; excellent combination except for the huge amount of salt in the sauce. The perfectly grilled chicken kabob, rice and salad, likewise, had very good seasonings except for the slightly too much salt. Warm vegetables, consisting of cauliflower, spinach and carrots were a very good mix both visually and in taste. The warm bread with dipping oil was delicious too.All in all, this is still a very good restaurant. More...
Food tasted very fresh! The yogurt in the vegetarian sambuseh was very refreshing. I couldn't go without ordering the hummus here and I must admit, hummus tasted great too! This place is a true gem!! The food & service are excellent! The lamb shank falls off the bone and melts in your mouth. The falafel is wonderfully fresh and flavorful. I was working in the neighborhood for a week and after eating there on my first day I couldn't get enough. I look forward to my next visit. More...
Got the chicken shawarma salad and it was quite tasty. It had a creamy garlicky yogurt dressing that was the right amount for the salad so it wasn't lacking on the dressing or swimming in it. I thought the price was good for what I got. The service was good. It was lunch time and most of the tables were full and more people were coming in the door. More...
A very unassuming place, but the food here is delicious. It's not busy in the evenings which I think is mostly due to its location, but I would still go there for the food.
Came here today for lunch. Tiny restaurant, nice, friendly service. We shared the Mediterranean platter as an appetizer. Unfortunately, they didn't have pita bread and it was served with a lavash style bread, which was really hard and tasted like cardboard. We also ordered the beef and chicken koobideh and the marinated steak. Out of those 3, I think the chicken koobideh was the best. The roasted tomatoes were some of the best I've ever had and the carrots were cooked perfectly. Food borders on 3.5 stars for me, but rounding up for the mom and pop shops. :) More...
Wonderful restaurant. We have been back so many times to try every single dish. They are all good. It is embarrassing but we basically lick the plates clean every time we come here. The staff is lovely and very welcoming. We make a point of coming every few weeks to get our fix. More...
This place has really exceptional service and their food is really good as well. My friend is allergic to dairy and ordered the salmon dish. When it came out, it had a little bit of cream sauce drizzled on top. The waitress took it back and remade it, apologized profusely, and said that they are working on updating the menu to make sure all ingredients are described on the menu. We really appreciated how much attention they paid to making sure everything was right. I always get the mansaf, which is great and also love their koobideh as well. I'm a repeat customer. This is a great little place. More...
Excellent food! I thought i was ran by Turkish people because food was so authentic tasting! I was shocked when I found out it wasn't great work guys
One of my favorite restaurants in Sunnyvale. My favorite is the chicken shawarma with rice plate. Service is always good too. Bit pricy to go often though so I pickup so save on tip. More...
Really great spot for kabobs I ordered the lamb kabobs they where tender, good flavor but the portions where on the smaller side. It came with rice and sauteed carrots and spinach also had good flavor with butterury accents. The service was great the food came out in about 5-8 minutes. The waiter was very nice and consistently checked up on our party of 4 we arrived around 4:30 or 5:00pm. Overall had a great experience. More...
Something for everyone. My wife and I (serious omnivores) dined here with our niece and nephew (committed vegetarians) and everyone left stuffed and happy. The complimentary flatbread and za'atar were a tasty start to our meal. The meat eaters shared an excellent mansaf with creamy golden yogurt sauce and basmati, plus a delicious chicken shawarma wrap. The vegetarians ordered spinach sambuseh and a falafel plate. They gave us a taste of their dishes and the wife and I agreed that we would have been quite happy with those and probably other vegetarian options on the menu. We'll be back and we urge you to try them too! More...
Great Middle Eastern / Mediterranean food. This place has the best babaghanoush I've had. Falafels area great, so are samosas, everything served very nicely. The only downside is the interior, which is a bit dull. More...
Amazing food! Loved chicken kabab, saffron rice, fries, and lamb wraps. Will surely be back for more!
Decided to go to this location based on yelp reviews. The food was good, nothing extra ordinary but not bad. Only 1 table was occupied when we arrived there at 8:15 on a Saturday evening. We were surprised by the quantity of the biryani for the price we were paying. I would say the food is good but its expensive for the amount they serve.Location wasn't that great either. It was in a dimly lit parking lot. More...
This is probably my favorite Mediterranean restaurant in the area. The selection is kind of small, but everything is very good: baba ganoush, hummus, falafel, samosas.
Bomb Mediterranean food. Chicken and lamb was perfect. Small and quaint place, with friendly service. Decent pricing too, about average for this type of food.
We just could not get enough out of O Bed flavors the first time we dined. My wife had ordered the "Chicken Beriani" and I chose to try the "Mansaf"(I would eat this again). We loved the food. The waiter and the customer service at the restaurant has to be lauded. The restaurant does sit in a very segregated locality by Duane. However, this is a great place for a quiet and peaceful dinner. 10/10 More...
We came to Obed on a weeknight. We got a Mansaf and a hummus. The Mansaf is goat cooked in a yogurt based curry served with rice. It has a tarty flavor from the yogurt and tastes great! The interior is also nice and cozy, with some pretty paintings on the walls. While my wife and I like to eat out often, neither of us have big stomachs. So, we often end up either boxing things up after ordering two regular entrees or ordering less than two entrees. We have never been scoffed at for either of those choices. On this particular night, we decided to order one entree and a side order. It seemed like our server felt it wouldn't be enough for us, he did not suggest us to order more. He silently judged us (I think!) and took our order. When the food arrived, the portions seemed a little less that what we were expecting. Our server had a smug face with "I told you so" written all over it. But he never `told us' and we were not in the mood for ordering more food. We finished up our meal and grabbed another small bite at home. More...
Food is delicious, and the staff are friendly. I ordered chicken kabobs and tabouleh, it was tasty and delicious .
Friendly staff, good food and cozy place. They serve variety of Mediterranean foods with good quality. Lunch time it gets very busy. We had chicken shawarma and two types of kebab and were happy with the taste. I wish they had pita bread instead of lavash. More...
The food and service was excellent. The location is a little questionable, as the parking lot is pretty dark at night. For the price, it is a great place to eat. The restaurant was not busy at all on a Wednesday evening. My friends and I were one of two tables. More...
I saw the reviews on yelp and had to visit this place. The mansaf here is amazing!! It's been weeks since I've been there. Still dream about that dish! Mouth watering yoghurt based lamb dish circling a serving of pilaw rice! More...
Love this place! The food is great, and flavorful. Make sure to try the mansaf and kafta, they were both delicious. Also the sambuseh was exceptional! I will definitely be coming back!
Great food, great service. Nice decor and seating. The veggies that come with the meals push everything over the top. Highly recommended!
I love this place. Food and service are both great. The street mall where it is located is kind of like a dump but Obed is like a gem. Love their chicken kabobs.
Arrived at the restaurant around 7pm or so, and it wasn't packed at all. The place is spacious and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing, which was what I was looking for. The shop can fit up to 40 people or so (I counted the seats but don't remember the exact number). So if you're looking for a location to throw a party for more than 40 people, this isn't the place. The server was on top notch. He constantly returned to all the tables to make sure their food is good and drinks are filled. I ordered the chicken kebab, which was recommended by the server, and it was quite delicious. The food presentation is supposed to give you the impression that it's a lot of food, but it actually isn't, or at least that was my initial thought. But for 1 person, I thought it was more than enough after I ate half of the plate. I'd say portion size is just right.Credit cards accepted if you're wondering. Will I return? Definitely. More...
It does not look like much from outside, but the food was good. I liked their thin pita bread and baba ganoush. We ordered chicken and lamb kebab. Chicken was a bit dry, but the lamb was so tender and delicious. More...
Obed, located in a strip mall in northern Sunnyvale, rivals the other excellent Mediterranean restaurant in town. Obed's food tastes better than the other restaurant, has a nice atmosphere, and friendly, professional service. My date and I had shawarma wraps (chicken and lamb, respectively) with a salad, all lovingly seasoned. Stop by when you have a chance. More...
Went for lunch and the food was incredible. I had the chicken kebabs and from reading other yelp reviews I can only assume that they've changed the recipe. The kebabs were incredible - not dry at all, but cooked just right. The flavor and texture were excellent and the veggies, rice and sauce were perfect. The rice was seasoned with cinnamon and the vegetables were cooked exactly right too. I can't remember the last time I ordered something at a restaurant and liked absolutely everything on the plate so much that I couldn't decide which part to eat next because I wanted to eat it all! My husband ordered the Kufta Laban (a lamb and beef dish with yogurt sauce) and loved it. He also cleared his plate. I'm not a voracious eater and I rarely clear my plate at a restaurant. This is good food. As if that wasn't enough, the waiters were wonderful and friendly. They paid attention and came at the right times - to fill a glass or ask how our food was. The bill wasn't brought until we had just finished our meal. I can't stand it when the bill is brought right after the food, neither do I enjoy sitting around waiting and waiting for the bill to arrive. It's usually one or the other, right? Not here. It was great! The decor was also nice - not over the top but not boring either. Nice colors and a few tasteful decorations. The place was also clean. The tables seemed actually clean and not just superficially clean (don't you hate it when you go out to eat and the "clean" table is sticky? - I do!).I just love this place. More...
This restaurant was a pleasant surprise given that it is located in a rather quiet plaza. I actually ordered a chicken kabob wrap (exact name escapes me), but the waiter made a mistake and I got the platter version instead. I was hungry and didn't notice until midway through my meal, but at the point I was pretty satisfied with the dish that I didn't bother to point out the mistake. I am actually pretty happy that I got the platter instead because it comes with some flatbread and this very refreshing dip made with cilantro and parsley (I think). The portions are quite filling and the chicken was not too dry. The dish was not too oily unlike some other Mediterranean restaurants I've been to and none of the flavours were too overpowering which I really enjoyed. In my opinion, the ambience of the restaurant is great for a dinner date with friends or a significant other. Overall, I was very satisfied with my meal and do see myself coming here in the future. Excellent authentic Mediterranean foodTried Mediterranean platter, falafel wrap and falafel plate Impressed on our first visit
Pretty chill ambiance and i enjoyed the food.Really liked their chicken biryani :)
Went for lunch with colleagues and all were happy and well-fed. I found the selection of vegetarian options somewhat lacking for a mediterranean place, but I ordered an appetizer mixplate of things like hummus and dolmas and it did not disappoint! Looking forward to going again.
Went our on a team lunch, my first visit at this place, both service and food was awesome. Should definitely try Chiken shawarma and bakhlava crumble with icecream
The food was very tasty and the service was top notch! We got the veg sambusa, chicken schwarma and lamb mansaf. They were all good options.
I am a big kabob lover and till date this is the best grounded chicken kabob I had in northern California. The kabob was juicy and mildly spicy in flavor.
Good food. Moderately priced. Nothing to dislike. Go there if you are craving good Mediterranean food
So good! The fattoush was on point, the shawerma was spiced beautifully. The only criticism I have is that it was very warm inside. Other than that - great food, great service. More...
Great lamb shawarma wrap! Service is a delight. Price is reasonable. Clean restaurant. Kudos to the chef for short turnaround time without sacrificing taste.
One of the best places around for a sit-down Mediterranean lunch. Kebabs have never failed to be tasty and juicy.
Lamb wrap and fries are really good and reasonably priced. Service is very courteous. Plate entrees here are a bit on the expensive side.
Great kabab for dinner!
Extremely casual and good food.
Very good Mediterranean place with limited options for vegetarians. But food was really really good. I would love to have given 5 stars if only service was faster. We got our order 45mins after ordering and it was not a busy day at all. More...

Great and tasty kabobs, i got the ground beef kabob and it was great. Prices were not expensive compared to other Mediterranean restaurants. Service was good as well.

One of the best Mediterranean food I have had lately. I just discovered driving in the area and everything on the menu looks good. I ordered a chicken wrap and was delicious. The area looks pretty run down, yet the food was the best Mediterranean I have eaten in the states!
How come this place isn't super famous? Hidden inside a strip mall, one of the best Mediterranean lunch places around! The lamb shawarma was outstanding.
The Consumer I.
Awesome place! Great service. Licked my plate clean! Got the chicken kabob plate (couldn't remember the name).
We came here for early dinner and were the only ones in the restaurant. I was a bit skeptical at first because the restaurant was empty. The host was incredibly attentive. We ordered the Mediterranean platter and the Beef kabob plate. The beef was cooked to a perfect medium rare and the flavors were spot on. I wish there were more veggies to dip in the Mediterranean platter but other than that everything was great. I'll definitely come back and try the other dishes. More...
Amazingly good food! The chicken shawarma is spectacular, with rich flavor. Unlike many middle eastern restaurants, the seeded flatbread is actually worth eating. I have a new favorite restaurant. Delicious! More...
Even though I left with my hands smelling of tahini sauce, I can't help but drool over how delicious the food at Obed Mediterranean Cuisine really was.Meeting with my close girlfriend, we grabbed dinner here on a Tuesday night and found the restaurant practically empty except for one other party. I was quite perplexed that a place with such a high Yelp score would draw so small a crowd, but my friend reassured me that most of their business comes in during the lunch hour. Whew! I would hate to see a fantastic spot like this fall through the cracks.Decor is simple, but tasteful, and there are plenty of tables to accommodate any number of people. I did, however, notice some inconsistencies in how each table was set-up, such as some tables having paper napkins and others having table cloths. Did they not have enough? Strange...The menu is basic with each category neatly labeled from appetizers to classics, from wraps to desserts. My friend chose the vegetarian sambuseh (Iranian samosa) while I got the falafel wrap with a side of fries. Because it wasn't busy, we got our food fairly quickly, but the presentation didn't suffer. My friend's dish was clearly the best looking of the two with a sea of green sauce and neatly plated sambuseh that was fried to crispy perfection. The filling was made of delicious potatoes, mushrooms, bell peppers, and almonds which added a nice contrasting crunch. Even though the sambuseh was fried, the exterior was never greasy and the sauce brought a touch of brightness to the dish. Absolutely delicious! As for the falafel wrap, I will admit that I was disappointed that the wrap itself was cold, but the falafels inside were made well. The tahini sauce was plentiful, although I had to wash my hands multiple times to get rid of the smell, and the salad spread had a delightful tangy taste, adding freshness to the filling wrap. The fries were undeniably addictive, even though they were just a touch over the salty side. In terms of pricing, both your wallet and your stomach will thank you because you get quite a lot of food for the amount you pay. Service was attentive enough, but then again, since we were the only ones there, it wouldn't be difficult to make sure all of our needs were met. Obed Mediterranean may be located in quite the random plaza, but I implore you not to drive by thinking it serves mediocre food. It's fresh, it's delicious, and it will definitely pull you back for more. More...
Simple, home made feel, and it's Mediterranean food with an Indian twist! Their falafel wrap is a little dry, I would not recommend it. With barely 10items on the menu there isn't much to pick from, but the customer service/experience makes up for the lack of anything at all. A tad bit over priced for the cuisine, this is small little downtown date place! Walk in for a perfect evening dinner.Don't forget to ask for their hummus sampler with their for the table bread serving! It's one of the best hummus I have had. More...
AMAZING! This is a hidden gem in Sunnyvale, located in a small, unassuming shopping center. The food tastes authentic with tons of flavor. The prices are reasonable too! Love the Kebabs plates at this place. The location is in kind of a sketchy locking strip mall, but I gave it a try based on Yelp reviews and glad I did.
Lured by the Yelp! reviews I came and tried the chicken schwarma for lunch. Delicious. The decor is nice and you don't expect something this nice in a strip mall. I'll definitely come again!
My go to place for Mediterranean food..awesome food and lovely service.Has good chicken dishes and the bread they serve as starters is really good :)
Great hole-in-the-wall spot! The shopping center location seems run down, and the interior of the restaurant looks like the inside of a cheap pizza place. But do not let that fool you.The food is incredible. I went here for the first time today as I was hungrily looking up Mediterranean good on Google maps after an 11am movie show.As a vegetarian they didn't cater to many options but I must say the two we got (Falafel wrap and Veggie wrap) were outstanding! Perfectly flavored salad and fries as sides and yummy soft feta as an additional filling. Really liked the friendly service and will definitely come back! More...
This place has excellent service and excellent food. Prices are pretty standard for the area ~15$/person, but it's worth it.
We drive up from SoCal just for the lamb shank and to chat with the owner. He is delightful and his lamb shank is the best I've ever had.
Amazing Mediterranean food... go for it. Have been meaning to go to this place for a while but somehow did not make it. On a Monday night when we did not want to cook we decided to swing by this place. It is a small place with decent amount of seating but not huge. We were hungry and after a quick discussion with the host, who was very helpful, we ordered the Chicken Shawarma Plate and the Mansaf with a side order of the hummus. The bread is free. All the things were awesome. I completely loved the Mansaf, and would order it again in a heartbeat. The lamb was so tender and well cooked and the yellow gravy that accompanied it had wonderful flavors. Could not have enough of it. The chicken shawarma was also very good and the chicken was very flavorful and well cooked. I would recommend both the dishes without any doubt. The hummus and bread was also very good. It was the best hummus I have ever tasted, but it was still very good. One of my come hungry, leave happy places. Give it a try. More...
Very nice dinner here on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was about one third full when we arrived at around 6:30 PM. They brought us some very nice flatbread which had an interesting tangy sauce for dipping. Service was super friendly and helpful. We had the Mansaf, which is lamb cooked in a yogurt sauce with almonds and basmati rice, and also had the lamb kebab plate which was basically five or six pieces of lamb kebab on top of some rice. Both dishes were $16.99. We also ordered 2 glasses of the Cascade Peak Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine was excellent and the flavor of both dishes was delicious. The Mansaf was probably the more interesting of the two dishes, although a bit richer. The lamb kebabs perfectly cooked to medium rare as I asked for, and were spiced deliciously and skillfully. Service was excellent, and they left us alone to discuss and talk without pressuring us to order dessert or pay the bill. We stayed until closing at 9 PM, and greatly enjoyed our experience there.I think I would have given the restaurant five stars if either the prices were a little bit lower, or the quantities of meat were greater. For $17 I would expect two kabobs not just one. But they still deserve four stars because of the tastiness of the food and the friendliness of the service. More...

as a middle eastern guy this place ROCKS! I was surprised that the owner is the waiter. very down to earth . food is AWESOME!
Small but clean. Good customer service and we'll prepared and flavorful food. Chicken kabob was moist and well seasoned, rice was light and fluffy with little bits of almond, and the sautéd veggies were delicious combination of spinach, carrots and califlower, and that's saying something because I normally do NOT like califlower. Only downside is that it's a small space that fills up quickly at lunchtime, but definitely on the work day lunch rotation now. More...
I come here for lunch occasionally, work across the street at the school, and I don't have a lot of time. They get my food out quickly and it's always tasty... just once it's been wrong (forgot the feta on my fries, which cost me a buck extra). I always get their lamb shwarma, as I don't get lamb really anywhere else. It's so tasty and well seasoned. I did get the beef once and it was good but it was... not the lamb... like Thursday is Not Friday. It's close but not quite as good. Get the lamb. Chicken is for the unimaginative and anti-adventurous. Finally, let's briefly talk dessert. Skip the baklava, you can get better from Costco.I'll be going back. More...

Obed is in the same shopping center I was talking about with the taco place. I found this on yelp and went here with my coworkers for a birthday lunch. It is absolutely packed at noon so note to self, do not come directly at 12pm. For lunch, the chicken wrap is pretty good. I've had both the chicken and the falafel wrap and I have to say the chicken has a lot more flavor. The lamb is pretty good as well but the chicken is a little better. I usually add feta cheese because feta makes it betta. For dinner, their chicken and lamb kabobs are pretty amazing. Super tender cuts of meat seasoned to perfection. Oh and I forgot, when you sit down they give you this really great bread with this dipping sauce. The service is kinda meh and mixed depending on who you get. I wish the food was a little more consistent with quality but it's generally pretty good. I feel like I am a little spoiled in my Mediterranean choices in the bay area so maybe I'm being a little bit picky. Great lunch spot if you are in the area and want to get out of the office with coworkers. More...

Our lunch experience was fantastic today! We had an 11 person group, which took up almost the whole restaurant, as it's small. As others have mentioned, the strip mall it's in isn't that nice, but the restaurant interior is tasteful. I have a very restrictive diet, due to food allergies and I haven't eaten out in a really long time. I called ahead of time to see if they could make accommodations so I could maybe just have a plain fish in olive oil and they said yes. When I arrived, I asked to talk with the manager, and he was so good. He asked me all the ingredients I could/couldn't have and suggested their lamb shank with a tomato-y soup sauce. It was just a vegetable and water sauce (no dairy, sugar, and it was Gluten-free) so I could have that. Normally, it comes with rice, but since I can't have grains, he gave me a side salad with olive oil, S&P, and steamed veggies on the side. He was so kind about it and didn't seem annoyed by all of my questions. I was REALLY impressed. We had a large group, and they were busy, so it was definitely not that convenient for him to help me out, but his extra effort will make me return again and again. This was one of the very few times that I've eaten out with this really restrictive diet (in 2 years), so the cooks definitely made me feel very special, and I was so happy with the special meal they were able to make for me! Mediterranean gem in a lousy strip mall.We discovered this place as we got bored with other options near by some time ago. Today we went back for a team lunch, the prices seemed higher than before but not much more compared to other places. I remember well their mansaf for being savory with a tinge of sourness. But I wanted to try something different and also avoid a 20 check. So I ordered the lamb shawerma. The portion was not huge but looked nice. I took a bite of the meat and started hating myself for not coming here more often. The lamb was impeccably seasoned with a dash of cinnamon, it was juicy but well cooked. The saffron rice was served below had some oil dripped on. The veggies were grilled too. I don't remember having such amazing food for a long time. Definitely worth the money. More...
I usually do not write reviews..this time its different. I wish I could give a 10 star to this place. The look of the resturant is so deceiving...from outside looks like a small cafe with 15 tables. The menu is short as well but once you taste the food..OMG...such good flavors and taste after such a long time!!! We had the polo chicken and Mansaf..we couldnt stop eating the Mansaf..its lamb with yogurt sauce and rice. Their service is also worth mentioning. We were there almost at the closing time yet we were felt so welcomed here. They even took our desert order way past their closing time. I will definitely go back again. More...
It's usually rare to find decent Mediterranean food. Glad to have discovered Obed! Suggested by a co-worker for Friday team lunch. We reached at 1ish and were seated in about 10 minutes. Simplistic. Not your fancy downtown resturant. Pleasant decor. Only thing which contributed to the Mediterranean ambience was soft arabic music. Polite and helpful servers. I love servers who provide suggestions on popular items without asking. Applauds We ordered a plethora of dishes.Hummus platter - Sampler with little bit of this and that. Simple and delicious. Served with complimentary pita bread. Chicken beryani - Rice with chicken in almond-yogurt based gravy. Creamy, tangy and a tad sweet.Chicken kabob - I have high expectations from Middle eastern restaurants with regards to kabob but this one simply didn't live up to the hype. Good but not great.Lamb Shawarma platter - Interesting spices and marination. Juicy and succulent. Served with saffron rice. Must order.Zeresk Pollo with Chicken - Hope I got the name right. This dish is truly unique and unlike any other Middle Eastern food I have tasted earlier. It had curry flavor - like Chicken tikka masala gravy. Served with saffron rice, tiny berries and half chicken. Tender chicken. Tons of flavors. Tangy, salty and sweet - it had all 3 tastes!Baklava crumble - Great find! Literally crumbles of baklava with ice cream and chocolate sauce. I never knew that ice cream would blend so nicely with baklava. Reasonable rates. So more hits than misses. Delicious! I knew I wanted a Dish Dash like place that had chicken biryani but there arent many Med places in Sunnyvale that serve it other than Dish Dash. Luckily I found this place and it is soooo delicious! The prices are quite expensive so I decided to split the chicken biryani and baklava crumble. First off, the bread and the dip is DELICIOUS! This is the best bread/dip I have ever had a mediterranean place. The bread comes out warm and omg. I had seconds. Then the biryani came out and it was huge so I am glad that we shared cuz we almost didnt finish. It tasted a little lamby to me but the dish was still superb. When you dip that bread in there doe. Then came the baklava crumble but it came with vanilla ice cream. I actually preferred the one at Dish Dash but still good. The service is great too! More...
What a terrific value! The food is authentic, fresh and served in a friendly, inviting environment. It's a joy to support locally owned restaurants like Obed. Owner Adrian works hard 7 days a week to put out good quality, wholesome food. The beef kabob is my favorite. Beer and wine available. This is a VERY POPULAR lunch spot . Easy to walk to from the entire San Miguel neighborhood. More...
Divine food. Flavorful and blissful on the palate.
The wraps and plates are good. The wait for food however is longer than most other Mediterranean restaurants - this was even before the lunch rush.
The appetizers were awesome and the lamb is a must have
Best food ever!!!!
Nice little mediterranean place. Service is really great and the food is delicious. The kebab dishes come with a tasty carrot, spinach, and cauliflower side - on top of the rice and tomato that's traditional for these dishes.
Food was really good. Had Chicken schwarma with fries. Felt quantity is the right amount. Ended meal with Baklava, which was served warm and fresh.Place wasn't crowded either when I went for lunch. More...
Really good kabob
Lovely garlicky chicken salad and nice wait staff. Seated immediately, so no reservations appear necessary early in the week for dinner. A gem in a low key strip mall!
We love this place! The service is really great and the food is awesome! I love their sides as well.
Very good quality food and excellent service. I loved it.
The food and service were exceptional. We brought eight teenagers for a birthday dinner for my son and everyone enjoyed the food. My beef kabob was delicious and my wife and I can't wait to go back. This restaurant was a fantastic find. More...
I wish I could give this place 6 starts, the lamb shank was absolutely unbelievable!!!! I will be back asap. They also had fresh lemonade which always makes me happy.
Nice food, tasty, a little bit pricey. They have some good Lamb over there. Expect to pay more than $20 if you are gonna order the lamb. Fattoush is tasty too.
Very tasty meal. It's in a strip mall that does not look promising, but don't let that put you off.
Obed is an awesome place to get great Mediterranean food at a good price. Service is friendly and fast. Food is always delicious. The Lamb Shawarma wrap is my go-to dish. More...

I was in a Mediterranean Food Mood . So I hit my trusty Yelp Bookmarks and there was Obed Mediterranean Cuisine. So I set my Gps and rolled my Whip to Obed . They are located in a large Strip Mall so there's a large parking lot .. This is where I stashed my Whip . I rolled into Obed and was Greeted and Seated . I was provided a Menu and a Large Glass of Water .I Perused the Menu and Ordered - Lamb Shawarma Which is Served with Saffron - Basmati Rice , Almonds & Vegetables . My Server placed my Order and Brought me Fresh Naan Bread and a Olive Oil and Sesame Seed Dipping Oil. The Naan Bread was very tasty with the Olive Oil Dipping Sauce. Obed has a lot of tables to Dine at . Its Clean and Comfortable . Tables are Nice Dark Wood and have Linen Napkins and Nice Silverware . There is some Tasteful Artwork hanging on the walls . They have a Unisex Restroom . My Server was very nice and would check on me quite often . She brought me my Lamb Shawarma Platter . It was a very Nice and Visually appealing presentation. It was a Very Tasty Plate of Food . Lots of Different Flavors and Textures . I enjoyed every bite . Lamb Shawarma is one of my Favorite Mediterranean Choices . I ordered the Baklava Crumble for Dessert. My Server delivered my Dessert to the Table Its Presentation was also Visually Appealing . It was a Tasty , Crunchy Treat . It was topped with a Drizzling of Chocolate Sauce . My Server asked me if I wanted anything else, nope I was done . I needed to recharge my Ankle Bracelet . So she Brought My Bill which I charged on my Credit Card . and rolled out .Obed Mediterranean Cuisine - Is A Baller On A Budget Approved Establishment !!! More...
Food was really good. A lot of people mentioned that the fries were AMAZING.. But honestly I did not like them. We had the Mansaf and Rolled Chicken Rice plate and both were delicious.
Found this place on Yelp. It's located in this plaza that I occasionally drive by yet had no idea this place was here. They gave us complimentary bread with sauce. I can't remember what the bread was called, but some pieces were soft and chewy and others were crunchy. We ordered the ground chicken kebab plate ($13.99) and the lamb kabob plate ($16.99). Both came with saffron rice and a fresh mix of veggies. The lamb kabob was grilled to perfection, very delicious, tender and juicy. The ground chicken kabob was good, however, it was a bit over seasoned. I would recommend wrapping the ground chicken in the complimentary bread they give you, it takes away some of the saltiness. The saffron rice was delicious and chewy and the veggies were fresh and perfectly cooked. I like how they give you half a grilled tomato. Prices are a bit high, however, the portion sizes are huge! We ordered two plates for 3 people and even had some leftovers to take home. They give you such large portions of meat, I don't know how anyone could finish an entire plate by themselves! Service was fantastic. Workers were extremely helpful and attentive. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone craving for some kabobs! Their popular ones are the lamb, beef and chicken so I'd probably stick to those and skip out on the ground chicken one next time. More...
Rolled Ground Beef. Easily one of the best dishes I've ever had in my lunch-eating career. There is something magical going on in the kitchen here. The waitstaff are all very nice as well. More...
We had the appetizer plate and a lamb salad. It was all delicious and the lamb was perfectly prepared unlike so many other restaurants. We will be back.
Obed has the best Mediterranean food in the bay by far. It's a tiny, hidden place that doesn't look like much on the outside, but the food and customer service is nothing short of amazing. Consistently incredible.
Great restaurant! While i have not been there for a meal, i have ordered their catering service on several occasions and every time they exceed my expectations. There is a ton of food that you get for the price. Everything is very flavorful, meats are spectacular even after being out on the buffet table for over an hour. I have gotten multiple comments from my guests on the quality of the food. I think it's just as good as it gets. And the delivery service is also outstanding. Always on time and everything is hot and packaged very well. More...
Amazing food and awesome staff. The way they cooked the lamb and chicken was super tender and flavorful. The waiter was super polite, a rare thing to find in restaurants nowadays. Can't wait to come back =D
Lamb is tender and server is very pleasant. The platter appetizer is also good.
I had chicken kabob at this place. Very good quality food and excellent service. I loved it.
I just had the pleasure of having lunch with my coworkers at Obed. We shared the Mediterranean platter, which was tasty and had a few twists on traditional Mediterranean appetizers. I ordered the chicken kebabs, which were very good. The chicken was well-seasoned and cooked to perfection. The steamed vegetables were great and not over-cooked. Service at Obed was very friendly and helpful. Slight ding for the prices, which seemed just a tad high. More...
