This is THE place if you kids is interested in public speaking, debate or any form of speech. We love the setting of the academy which is really nurturing to the kids. We attend when my son is in middle school. I wish we start in the elementary school year though. I saw what they did with the little nova kids. They made everything fun and exciting but at the same time, very educational. The things that they taught my son fully equipped him to join the varsity team in high school. I would recommend this school to any kids who want to advance in public speaking or debate. More...

Jung Park tutored my son for the SAT. Â She had a way of approaching the exam that was new to us. Â He got a super-high score. Â After the SAT, she transitioned into a college counselor and helped him develop his list of schools to apply for. Â She took the angst out of the conversation. Nova 42 is a special place. My daughter has attended debate classes there for several years, but she has learned much more than how to win a debate. Nova 42 teaches kids how to think critically -- both about the world and their own actions. This skill is not only instrumentally valuable, but foundational to being an informed citizen-leader, which is what Nova 42 seeks to create. The secret sauce here is the instructors. Mike, Ted, Ebru, and the rest of the team could not be more passionate, interesting, and dedicated to their students. They are also a lot of fun. I learn here, and it is absolutely awesome. Nova 42 is a place where you can interact with your coaches without being scared. I'm a real parent whose real kid went here for 3.5 years. Thanks to Coach Mike and his team of assistant coaches, my kid grew as a debater, learned about teamwork and leadership, and became passionate about the world around him.
