Saw an ad on FB, then I read the Yelp reviews and it sounds crazy but we decided to check out this restaurant because of Steve's (owner? ) responses to the few diners who complained and only gave 1star ratings....he defended his staff and food like a man who is confident in what his place brings to the table!  And I will say - North side Tavern delivered on all fronts!  Our server was Jeremy (?) and he was great - service was beyond prompt and friendly and he even had the bar remix an Old Fashioned that wasn't right - still wasn't right after remix which was a bummer but I will give credit for the pours being heavy, which I appreciate given cocktail prices out there. We ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp and the Mussels for apps - both were fantastic - the mussels come with crusty bread to soak up that delicious broth in the bowl. Entrees were the fish & chips, which are apparently the trademark dish and the fish strips were HUGE and perfectly done  I rate them well priced at $14.99 for the dish. The special was Arctic char with pasta & asparagus in mushroom sauce - very rich and quite delicious - a bit pricey for a tavern atmosphere at $23 but I was happy with the food.  Overall, we had a great experience on a busy Friday night and we will definitely go back - in fact I've already suggested North Side Tavern to a few friends for a night out in the near future. Great find up North - glad we went! More...

Love this spot! Great food, excellent beer list. The food is way better than traditional pub fare, with several gourmet fish, meat, and veggie dishes that you won't expect. Huge craft beer selection featuring many local breweries. Great atmosphere, feels small and cozy, but all the niceties you expect from a much bigger operation. Definitely recommend! More...

Our favorite restaurant. We've tried all of the fish n chips around, competition is thick, but hands down, they have the best, and it's our daughter's favorite dish. Also be sure to try the key lime pie, the burgers, the queso, the salmon sandwich, the tacos, and the salads. You really can't go wrong, it's all really good. And great service. So happy to have a restaurant like this in the neighborhood. More...

Small, independent business with thee most wonderful owner who is very much involved. The service and food is incredible, the atmosphere feels like family. Everything on the menu is like something you would get in a five star restaurant except double the portion and tastes like heaven. More...

I have been here twice now. First was lunch on a Thursday. I had the unique which was a pork tenderloin with pasta. It was generally excellent. Was peaceful and extremely agreeable. Returned on Sunday for their prime rib uncommon. It was incredibly scrumptious! It was during a Broncos game so it was quite noisy. I will return soon for the Monday unique of schnitzel and spatzle. Friendly staff, though the service was kind of slow. The music was too loud to carry a meaningful conversation across their larger round table. The beer I got was flat. The food was better than I expected. Their green chile pork stew was surpisingly tasty and spicy! More...

Literally nothing but so much goodness!! After many visits, my betrothed and I have deemed this "our" spot, especially after our visit on Saturday, 11/9. The joint was sa-lammed, people people everywhere!! We had a 30 minute wait for a 2 top, and were most content to do so. Yes, it's THAT GOOD. 2 bar seats opened up whilst waiting, and we grabbed 'em. Score!! In spite of how incredibly busy they were, our servers were attentive and engaging. Julia, in particular, was simply delightful. Her smile was infectious, in spite of her crazy work surroundings. She was , in fact, incredibly aware of her surroundings, keeping tab on all of the bar customers. We were, needless to say, beyond impressed. What you need to do is GO for the amazing service (thaaaaaaanks, Julia!!) and STAY for the food. Sluuuuuuuuurp!! And cheers!! More...

This was such a great find! My husband and I are always on the lookout for new to us places, instead of the same old chain restaurant. We had a short wait for a table, which is not unusual for a Friday night. Shortly after we were seated, our drink orders were in. They have a great list of beers! I am so happy they have a decent list of GF beers. I had the fish and chips that is GF, and something I haven't had in years. My husband had the Albuquerque burger, and we also had chips and pico. The fish and chips I had was so fresh and hot as were the fries. The slaw was ok. My husband loved his burger and fries. All was fantastic! I was so full I had to get a box. I was only sad that I didn't have room for dessert. Next time! More...

Nice little bar, with pretty good food. Had a decent selection of beer, old standbys to some nice choices in local craft beers, and appeared to have a good selection of spirits. We had a Queso appetizer with chips, and a Margherita pizza. Both had good presentation and great flavor. Service was reasonable. Will look forward to returning. More...

This place had eluded us due to just coming in too late for a few months. Finally made it in and the menu looked great, we had a few good recommendations from friends and it didn’t look disappointing. Best fried pickles we ever had for a happy hour but my husband unfortunately had a small allergic reaction to them. Our servers who were already super attentive even though they had obviously (and explained to us) that they had just experienced a rush, went above and beyond to get us 2 lists of ingredients for both items on the plate (fried pickles and homemade ranch).Unfortunately the mussels lacked for us, but everything else we ordered as well as the service has us wanting to come back. (The coconut shrimp, meatloaf and pickles). The manager (Owner?) Steve was great and as soon as he saw the issue he fixed it for us.They also seem to really try to go out of their way for patrons who have gluten intolerances and other food allergies (separate fryers for gluten friendly/ non gluten friendly options as well as being 90% gluten free in the first place and a big plus for us is they don’t fry in soy). These guys put in the effort unlike so many places we have been to. So anyone looking for somewhere allergy friendly, they are a great little gastro pub to check out! More...
