What do you love most about your job?
I love educating my clients on how to best set up their accounting systems and even becoming their own bookkeeper. If my clients would like a more hands-off approach and have my business update their books, I still meeting with my clients throughout the year due to tax planning before year-end.
For my social media business, I enjoy creating a solid social media strategy to assist business in getting their message out on social media to be able to attract their ideal customer leads.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I lost my job in 2007 after 20 years of working for a mid size CPA firm. I wanted to set up my own accounting practice, so that I could work with the clients that really need my style of accounting. I prefer to be part of the businesses "Success Team" by getting the accounting records up to date for accurate financial statements. With those numbers we can make smart business decisions!
My social media business was born out of my necessity to connect with more client leads for my accounting business. I have invested time in learning the best strategies of how to build a brand online. I currently also speak internationally on social media topics.
