I recently had the opportunity to do a boudoir photo shoot with Nicole and it was an amazing experience. It's something that I had been wanting to do for myself for a long time but had put off due to fear. I couldn't have found a better photographer! She was so encouraging through the whole process. From outfit tips beforehand to little pep talks throughout the shoot, she made me feel comfortable and calmed my nerves. I ended up purchasing all of my digital photos, not only because I LOVED them all, but because I truly love seeing the progression of the whole shoot. You can literally see my fear and doubt in the first few shots and then by the end of the shoot you can see the strength and confidence. It really was a life changing experience and one that I would encourage every woman to do. My goal was to walk out of there feeling empowered and strong and that's exactly what happened. A couple months ago I made the decision to do a Boudoir shoot with Nicole and to this day I do not regret it. It was one of the best experiences of my life. When I saw my pictures for the first time during the reveal, I was taken back at how much I fell in love with them. Not once have I EVER liked a photo that someone has taken of me. I have never been confident in myself or comfortable with how I look or how other people might look at me and see me. I was put down for so long by people’s opinions about how I looked and I always took it personally and let it bring me down. After doing this with Nicole, I have never been more comfortable with myself or how I look. I saw the photos and said to myself, “Wow.. That’s ME!” She helped me see myself in a different light. I am so thankful for the opportunity to do the shoot with Nicole and I am SO excited to receive my pictures in the mail and finally see the final printed product. As a photographer myself, I tend to be hypercritical of other photographers. Because of this tendency, it is really hard for me to get in front of the camera and trust that the other photographer will live up to my expectations. I have known Nicole for nearly 15 years, and throughout that time she has been the one photographer that I trust to take the most intimate and important photos of me. Nicole documented every stage of my pregnancy with my son, from just days after I found out I was pregnant, to my tiny bump, my gigantic bump, and even a sexy boudoir shoot postpartum celebrating my new, beautiful, mama body. As any pregnant woman will tell you, it can be hard to feel sexy when your body feel so different, and it can be especially hard to feel sexy and beautiful after the baby comes. Nicole made me feel gorgeous at every stage, and her photos told the story of my journey into motherhood through stunning art. Her photos helped me to get outside of my own narrow (often negative) self perception to see the miraculous beauty inherent in the messy, disorienting, exhausting, and overwhelming process of creating life. Nicole is everything you want from a photographer. She’s an artist. She’s a listener. She has a keen eye for detail and is not afraid to share her amazing ideas. She is a consummate professional and provides you with quality, timely products. We cannot recommend her enough. Beginning with our engagement photos, she took us on an urban tour of downtown Denver, where we had the most unique shots we’d seen of any engagement couples’ photos. After the engagement photos, we hired her to shoot the wedding. Prior to the big day, she walked us through a timeline and made sure she knew what our priorities were for photographs. Our wedding was outside close to noon (not a photographer’s ideal!), but Nicole’s pics of the outdoor ceremony are incredible. She and her assistant, Sunny, made the brides, the wedding party, the families and guests feel comfortable with her and it is evident in the finished product. The photographs from that day will be treasured not only by us, but by everyone who was there that day. Post wedding, Nicole designed our wedding album with our input on placement and focus. Photography was the one thing we really cared about at our wedding so we spent a looong time looking for the right photographer and we found her! We were getting married in the mountains and the scenery was already incredible. We wanted someone to give us a bit of a different look rather than just the typical pretty pictures. We really liked Nicole's fine art eye that she applies to her wedding photography.Nicole was the consummate professional but also helped to keep everything light (taking pictures can be stressful!)
