We reserved a Duffy boat Thursday evening to view the Christmas lights from the harbor.  We brought family members, including 2 young grandchildren.  It was a magical evening.  Perfect calm evening, not too cold.  The man who handled our reservation was very helpful and explained everything very well.  They were not crowded and check-in was easy.  The price was right!  About half what another Duffy rental place nearby charges for a 2 hour cruise.  My only comment is that we had a smaller Duffy boat, and with 7 people and a large ice chest it was a bit crowded.  Also, there was no interior light, so hard to see our food.  Next time we will ask for the larger boat. We love this company. They have always been very accommodating, friendly and professional. This is such a fun thing to do while you're in Newport. Bring along snacks, beverages and keep your eye out for a seal or pelican! Highly recommend. Can't wait to book another Duffy in the summer!! More...

Did an office teambuilding event on the electric (pontoon) boats. Scheduled the event directly w/ Nicole @ Newport Fun Tours who was very helpful and accommodating. The staff members we encountered on the date of the event were also friendly and pleasant. Boats were clean. Weather was perfect.  Everyone had a wonderful time! We definitely had a great time!  I took my friends from the East Coast on a duffy boat ride and it was so such and experience and so much fun. They offered a Bluetooth speaker which was nice! Staff was very friendly and helpful.  The only thing is that I wish there were signs on the water to direct the duffy path.  They did provide a map but it got a little confusing when we were out on the water for the first time. The boat could have been a little cleaner (there was some trash from a previous group) and there was a piece of the the boat that was falling off.  other than that we enjoyed our time.  They also have a little shop in the lobby where you can buy snacks, drinks and other items to take on the boat. Gad a fun time with Fun Tours! The process was easy and the staff were exceptionally nice. Only downside was the parking structure and sign was really easy to miss. The boats felt safe but their maintenance was lacking, compared to other Duffy rentals we've used. Bring your own trash bag as it didn't appear they provide them. Nicole was amazing!! She got us all reserved over the phone and was super helpful! I love great service like that! At another rental place close by we did not have great service. Always a pleasure!   I love the 2 hour cruise. I just rented 4 boats for a group trip and went to Billyson the Beach next door for brunch. We all just loved it!!!!!

SO FUN! my friend had a groupon for a 99 minute tour and we had the best time. We had 5 people on total on our boat and it was the perfect amount. With our bags and ice chest if we had anymore I think it would have been cramped. They let you take food and drink so we had a nice picnic and champagne. They give you a map to show you your route which was pretty easy to follow, and they also gave us a blue tooth speaker. We all took turns driving, but it's kind of a hassle so if we did it again it might be nice to splurge on a driver. There's parking at the garage at the center. Really fun ride! We had a group of 10 and booked the 12-person boat, and it really was the right amount of people when we took into account our coolers for food/drinks. I booked through the phone, and the person I spoke to gave me a heads up that 10 is the perfect size. Anything more we would have been incredibly squished. We brought our own speaker. They also gave us a map to self-guide ourselves, so it was pretty easy to navigate. The check-in process was also super easy, and I felt like I was prepped pretty well when I was booking it. I booked it on my own, not through a Groupon, however, they were still able to give me a deal when I asked them if they were running any specials. Will book again! More...

The usual place we rent from was booked. My daughter had tried NFT before and said it was good.  They were great.  Made the reservation over the phone and were offered the Sunday Special which saved us a few bucks.  We were running late and called and they were so accommodating and understanding,  Once we arrived the staff was super nice and friendly.  Check-in was simple and fast and the guy who helped us get on the boat was helpful and funny.  Not a brand new boat but clean and well maintained. No issues there.  We had a great time chilling around the harbor and when we returned the team was waiting and helped us off the boat and checked us out quickly.  We will be back for sure ! More...

April and Ethan were very accommodating - and it was slamming busy in the afternoon! This time took mom and the kids out in a Duffy for 90 min tour of the marina and harbor. Perfect afternoon all-around. Not one bad thing to say about staff, equipment was clean and ready, and my mom and crew had an amazing time. Very Fun Day on the water in Newport Beach.   Everyone was so helpful, especially those helping us in and out of the boat.   He even helped us set up music on the sound bar ..... he suggested the Gypsy Kings.  I love the Gypsy Kings and my passengers are now fans!  Great choice!   We use Newport Fun Tours 3 - 4 times a year.... always fun! We have recently rented an 8 passenger duffy boat on two separate occasions this past year via the Groupon deal, and we have been quite happy with our experience so far! On the first occasion, it was easy to book with the Groupon via phone, and our check-in process was seamless. However, on the second occasion, I called 10 days in advance, and the woman on the phone said there was no availability for using the Groupon on the Saturday at 5 PM I was requesting. Instead, she said she could give me a discounted deal for 1.5 hours on the 8-person duffy boat for $114, and I figured that was worth it as well. Upon check-in, the girl at the counter informed me that that $114 deal was only applicable if I paid cash, otherwise I would have to pay tax + other fees, and this was definitely not something outlined to me over the phone. With what would have been a $3 ATM fee, I was super glad our group had enough cash on us to pay the $114 since she was about to upcharge us about $30-40. Just wanted to put this out there on Yelp since it just would have been nice to definitely know the price I was paying beforehand, and if I needed cash/card.The guys boarding us on the boat are nice and helpful. The boat is relatively easy to operate as well. I love that we are able to bring drinks & snacks on board! The 1.5 hour rental is perfect since that alcohol goes right thru you and when time is up we are running to the bathroom HAHA.Would definitely recommend Newport Fun Tours, especially the groupon, to friends for a great experience that is worth the price and very easy to book! Used this company twice now for duffy boat rentals and it always goes pretty smoothly. The location is sometimes hard for newcomers to find, but once there, it's not so bad. The parking in the structure is rather expensive though. For about 2 hours, I had to pay $14 for parking (max daily $20). They have good Groupon deals and also regular deals that are less restrictive on time/dates than the Groupon deals. More...

Another great birthday celebration!!  Thank you NFT for yet another fantastic day celebrating my mom's 87th birthday.  The staff was kind, fun and professional.  Don't forget to ask about the free Bluetooth speaker.  We played my moms favorite mariachi music .  My son was our pilot while we enjoyed our charcuterie and mimosas.  Hope to celebrate again next year and keep this tradition going.  PS.  Kids if you're reading this I wouldn't mind doing this for my birthday too More...
