Husband and I stayed at this resort this past weekend and honestly after reading other reviews i was concerned that our stay would not be as expected but as soon as we arrived the lobby was beautiful (the parrots were our favorite) and the staff was welcoming. Check in was fast. Yes the rooms are dated and the elevators can get annoying and scary when they shake unusually as the doors open but i think the staff/pool/pier make up for it. The rooms were clean and so was the beach. We dined in at kitchen 305 our first night (we sat at the bar) and the bartender was very pleasant although the food was not the best. The fish tacos at the beach bar however were amazing! Drinks there not so good && they were a little on the pricey side. The cabanas by the beach are nice and walking along the beach was too! We were here this Memorial weekend, I was trying to cancel my reservation because of Dorian hurricane. Thank God I didn’t cause we had a really pleasant weekend, excellent service, great food and very clean rooms, hotel need some updates but not big deal, amazing swimming pool and beach, bar on the pool wit good drinks, we loved it, for sure planning to come back soon.
