We have been coming to NHPH for almost as long as Dr. McKaig has been there, around 32 years! First my mother, then I as an adult for the last 26 years. He and his team of veterinarians and staff are the best in the area... quality care, compassion, ease of scheduling, pricing.....they truly care for not only the pets, but the owners. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I especially like Dr. Elizabeth Patrick. The environment is friendly and very caring of all pets. My best friend, Bear Dawg, needed surgery we could not afford. Dr. Patrick provided information on Pet Promises, via the SPCA, that made the surgery affordable. She even gave Pet Promises a discount. The whole staff was wonderful when both South and Beach Ball were diagnosed with cancer. South lived an extra 9 months, due to Dr. Patrick's efforts, after diagnosis. Beach Ball is still alive a whole year after diagnosis and she is 17 years old. More...

Have gone to New Haven pet hospital since the day they opened have always had excellent care for my animals and that's been over 40 years now the Vets are very concerned about the animals and look to make sure they can get them well anytime I've had an animal that's been too sick they have always been extremely compassionate and very caring towards me when I have had to lose one

We have been to other Vet offices but have been with New Haven Pet Hospital for years now. The Veterinarians are very knowledgeable and take their time to give you as much information as you need. My dogs Maxx and Macy LOVE New Haven Pet Hospital! The doctors and staff are so good with them! My Maxx is a golden retriever and is terrified of new places.
