This place us pretty humble place in Artesia. The parking lot is quite small so you'll have to be cautious there, especially when having a bigger car. Once you are able to park there are two large glass doors. Inside is the register where the prices are reasonable. Then to your left is the entrance. Then, to the right is where you ask for some shoes. They will ask for your size and had you your shoes quickly. Then you lace up your shoes like hiking boots. If you want to be safe, there are lockers to put your stuff into for 50 cents. There are some restrooms, a small cafe, and vending machines. When on the rink there is a rail you can hold onto if you've never been skating or are getting the hang of it. The people inside are supportive and there are some professional skaters doing tricks. After some time on the ice a zamboni will come out and smooth out the ice. When you get back on it feels like you are gliding. It's very fun to go with a group or alone. More...

This is a very fun place to bring kids teenagers and adults to have some good old fashioned ice skating fun the rink is very big the entrance fee and the skate rental is very reasonable the music is great it's a very fun environment the snack bar has nachos chips soups drinks everything you would need in order to have a good time

I've been training with Neucleus Fitness for approximately 3 months and at age 65yrs old I feeling much healthier. I have a new burst of energy which allows me to do more around the home than I would normally do. After visiting my doctor, I notice that my weight was down a whopping 30lbs, sugar levels are normal, in fact the doctor said that I more healthy HDL's than normal My blood pressure is also normal and stable. Thanks to Neucleus, he always pushes me to do the best even when I don't feel like it; he patient enough to instill confidence in me to push more and do my very best. This is the best trainer I've met. I was suffering from diabetes and loosing sight in my left eye. Neucleus told me he could help as I began to lose sight in my eye think I was about to go blind. He trained me for diabetes using exercise and a strict diet. Within six month the hemorrhage of my eye reversed and began to clear up till finally I had clear vision once again. Finally my doctor gave me the okay that I would not have to have surgery and that eye vision was once again normal.
I owe this guy a lot, he worked hard holding me accountable and pushing me to do what I could not do alone.
This guy is the best. If you want a trainer who knows how to work with senior and really knows his stuff, this is the guy.
Neucleus is a great trainer and I will always be grateful of him.

When I started with him I had very bad knee problems. I remember him always telling me to "squat, push your knees out keeping your feet flat on the floor - now act like you're sitting in an imaginary chair." Over and over I thought I would never get it, but he was patient, encouraging and always up-beat and happy.
I felt like he was all eyes on me, but in the long run it all came together. Now I don't need knee braces anymore, he says my squats and lunges are perfect. It took a couple of month, but I listen and never gave up...as he would constantly tell me.
Neucleus is the best!! He truly cares for each one of his clients!! If you are looking for drastic quick results he is your man!! Just have trust and be patient as he is and you'll get great results fast.

I approached Neucleus Arnold when he was training a group at Planet Fitness. I observed that he seemed to have a good rapport with the group and yet they were working hard. I had retired the year before and had been in physical therapy for a year for arthritic knee problems and balance issues. Neucleus scheduled a thorough assessment of my abilities/limitations. I was not easily convinced that he would be able to help with my health issues but he related that he had obtained successful results for others with similar problems. I signed up. I complained a lot in the beginning, was not in good shape. Neucleus was encouraging and patient, yet continued to challenge me physically and mentally. After just 3 months, people I hadn’t seen in a while were commenting on how good I was looking, asked if I had lost weight. I hadn’t. (I have a healthy appetite!) However, my clothes fit me better; I actually went down a size. The best result was how much stronger and more energetic I felt! I would finish a strenuous workout and go home and tackle a big garden project. My aches and pains decreased, my balance and coordination improved significantly. One unexpected result was that I went from taking 150 mcg. thyroid medication every day to 88 mcg. My doctor was amazed! Neucleus is knowledgeable and a strong motivator. I am 60. I signed up with Neucleus because I have diabetes, high blood pressure, and cholesterol. My numbers have been coming down, not only am I improving my health, but also I am losing weight, and inches. Before I started with Neucleus Fitness I wore a size 14 in pants, I am now wearing a size 4, never in my life have I ever worn a size 4. There is not one day that goes by that I don’t get compliment from my family and coworkers. I recently ran a 5K, and I won first place in my age category. Me and my family really enjoyed coming here. The staff was friendly, the place was clean. Relatively busy though at night. The ice is redone about every two hours. The only issue we had was with the skate rentals. They were very old and the padding was completely gone. I had to exchange skates but the staff was very polite about it, I am considering buying my own if I want to continue going. This location has a gym on the 2nd floor which is great, a membership gets you 5 free skates a month I believe. I find it very convenient, I only wish they had a membership for ice skating where you can skate multiple times a week, every week. I also believe there ia only one skating rink but there is plenty of free skating hours to make up for it. My only recommendation is to bring your own skates. Me and my son had bruises on our feet from the skates, which isnt a deal breaker as he's wanted to go back ever since our last visit. I advise to bring a few pairs of long socks to layer up on and renting half a size bigger. That way you will be comfortable all day in case your skates are a tad worn out. They also offer skating classes for the price of admission and rentals which is a great offer! Only downside is its during free skate hours so everyone is mixed in and you have to be mindful of those who are not in the skating class. Other than that its a great place to skate amd I recommend it to anyone! More...

The ice is usually well taken care of and kept very cold which makes for a little faster hockey games. The boards are consistent and the puck usually responds how you would expect. The facilities in general are pretty good. The staff seem to do a really good job maintaining the locker rooms and bathrooms. I have never been there for a public skate, so I can't comment on that experience. I also have not used the workout area on the second floor, but it looks pretty nice from the ice. I think this is a really nice rink and the prices they charge are very reasonable. More...

I come here for the Fitness Center, so my review will be solely based on that. Overall, this is a good gym. I think the advantages of the Fitness Center is that it isn't as crowded as most gyms, is kept pretty clean for the most part, has plenty of lockers (so bring your own lock), and has a good diversity of gym equipment. One benefit to working out here that apparently will no longer be offered is towel service. Signs have indicated that beginning in March 2017, towels will no longer be offered... so members will have to bring their own. Some things that I don't like about the Fitness Center are that there are occasional times where a junior hockey team will work out there (it's not a problem for me and it's not all the time, but it sometimes means that I might have to wait for the free weights, etc.) and also that some equipment that breaks down does not get fixed immediately. Still, I think the big draw is that this gym is not as crowded as most other places. On some occasions, I have been the only one (or only one of a couple of people) working out here. If you're on the fence about joining here, I would ask to take a tour to see if it fits your needs. Overall, a solid gym that more often than not does not get too crowded. More...

Diet is important because the food you intake makes up your body composition and controls thought process, energy and level of activity, hormones necessary for biological functions. Exercise with the proper nutrition is like trying to drive a car without gasoline. Your body need proper nourishment to function properly and fight out illness, decease and repair muscle tissue.

Unlike traditional trainers, we participate in these exercises along with our clients, to offer visual demonstration and establish the pace and tempo at which the client should move. Our training programs are created based on the client's metabolic profile, targeting the level of movement required to metabolize body fat and to obtain the E.P.O.C., effects of the body; causing the body to continue to use body fat as a source of energy for 24 - 48 hours after completing a 1-hour workout.

We focus on functional movement techniques and proper body mechanics to insure proper body alignment which to minimize injury prior to utilizing weights during any exercise routine. Our focus is more on safety and movement techniques. We start with a detail fitness assessment unlike other gyms and trainer to give the client a clear understanding of their personal health and rate of recovery.

We provide nutritional coaching and nutritional supplements which to enhance and speed up the health progression of the client's.
Our clients are also education along the way in understanding what each movement does for the body in developing their muscular system.

The secret is Mindset - Metabolic Profiling - Dieting and Nutrition - Proper Rest and Recovery

Mindset is the desire and determination to take action in seeking out and developing your personal goals and desire in life to a level as if your life depend on it. "Never compromise and never give up until accomplished"

Metabolic Profiling is the art of using multiple muscle at the same time during exercising; at a level compatible to ones anaerobic threshold and maintaining that level of movement for a period of 45-minutes or more. (maintaining ones heart rate at a level ranging 15 points +/- their personal heart rate max during exercising) At this rate you able to metabolize body fat around and inside the veins and arteries as well as the epidermal layers of the body.

Dieting and Nutrition is knowing what foods; and when to consume the right foods that help your body increase metabolism and utilize body fat as a primary source of energy. Nutritional supplement are used to enhance our physical development by fueling the body with the proper nutrient for muscle growth, immune support, bone support, blood cell development and low fat energy that fuel the body without maximizing fat storage. Nutritional supplement are purely food extracts and nutrients from foods in its pure and natural form without the added chemical processing, preservatives and high calorie storage components.

Proper Rest and Recovery is allowing the body the proper amount of rest needed for muscle repair, physical healing, immune recovery and replenishment of blood levels and oxygen within the body.
