I'm very happy with the hair cut Austin gave me. He is kind, fun, and does an excellent job. After attempting to grow my hair out again, I decided I really needed to get the dead ends cut off. My hair had no shape, and was just getting weighed down from the splint ends. I also hadn't had a trim in awhile, which didn't help. Austin really gave my hair life again. I've always had long hair, but after the great cuts I've recived from Claudette and Austin, I might just keep it short. Claudette is amazing as well, her attention to detail I really appreciate. I’ve tried a lot of hairdressers over the years and no one has come close to the magic created by Claudette on my tresses. Being in the beauty industry myself, I’m extremely picky. I like to bring in pics that I’ve collected on Pinterest and she always gives her honest opinion as to what would work best with my hair texture and my coloring. Her cutting and coloring skills are amazing. I always leave looking and feeling like a million bucks. She always has great product recommendations too. My hair has never looked or felt better. I recently moved to Portland from Denver, CO and needed to find a new hair salon and stylist -
which is always scary especially since I went to a fabulous place in Denver and was extremely happy with my stylist there. After doing some research I decided to try Appel Nouveau Salon and have since seen Meghan twice for color and a cut. I've been very satisfied on both visits - she listened to what I wanted regarding my color which came out great. She was also great with my hair cut - or I should say my desire to keep it simple since I'm an avid cyclist and runner and pull my hair back a lot. While the salon is much smaller than I'm used to, I actually loved how they've gotten me in and out of there on time, I love the location, and Meghan and the staff are quite personable.
