We specialize in wedding cakes. We do our best to work with any brides budget, no matter how small. We bake from scratch, all our frostings are scratch made as well. We use only natural flavorings, fresh fruit, etc...to flavor our sweets. We offer Buttercream, fondant, gnache and cream cheese frostings.

I've visited here a few times now and I've not been disappointed! Cupcakes are so moist and fluffy. Cookies are huge and so delicious. I really want to try the napoleons, maybe next time. I hit this spot when I'm in training for work. The staff here are always super friendly and extremely accommodating. Thank you so much for caring about your customers! Walking around downtown and need a sweet treat? This is the place to go. The place is nice and clean and smells amazing. We got a scoop of ice cream a Canoli and a cupcake. The ice cream was a huge scoop for 1.25 and my family love the Canoli and cupcake. We got a free cookie because we checked in with Yelp. So delicious! We're from the Northeast where there are many little bakeries. Â When we moved down south it was something we missed. Â There are a couple chains like Gigi's but not many mom & pop shops. Â This is one and it's a good one. Â Great food and good prices. Â I think coming back to the Morganton Festival (90 minute drive) this year was half because we wanted to stop at My Local Bakery. They updated their register system making purchases so much easier! The food is amazing as always, and I really love that they updated their loyalty cards to include bagels which is my favorite. This is a cute little locally owned bakery. They have 3 glass cabinets with so many delicious looking treats; from cupcakes, to cookies to cannolis, to turnovers. It took my mom and me nearly 15 minutes to decide what we wanted to try. We ended up getting 2 cannolis and a chocolate cream cheese turnover to share. The cannoli was the perfect size, it was really rich but so yummy. The turnover was so big that we could only share half of it and take the other half home. We couldn't leave without getting something to take home with us either. We grabbed a pumpkin spice cupcake and red velvet cupcake which were neatly packaged in a cute little pick cupcake box. Prices were great as well. All the staff were so friendly and not pushy with sales; instead we were allowed to browse the options and ask questions. They have several tables inside to enjoy your treats at or you can choose to seat at one of there tables on the sidewalk. Seemed that they have some different options everyday and can like them on Facebook to find out what they will have on any given day. What do you love most about your job?
I love seeing the look on the brides face when she sees her dream cake. I love using my artistic talents to create one of a kind works of art for each couple. This is YOUR big day and your cake should represent you as a couple.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I began baking alongside my mother at a very early age, decorating my first cake for a customer at 14. My uncle was a pastry chef and I loved spending summers with him watching and learning. I got married at 20 and I hired a well known cake baker but she didn't listen to me, she didn't see what I saw and certainly didn't make the cake I wanted. I cried when I saw it. That's when I knew I wanted to make cakes, so that didn't happen to others. I went on into the business world, though never happy but after years of baking cakes on the side we opened a full service retail bakery in 2012. Once again another hiccup, my health declined, too many hours, too much stress, just too much. So after 5 years of 65-80 hrs a week working I am now back to all custom work and happy again!

We deliver and set up each cake ourselves, my husband is my biggest supporter! Each cake is transferred to your location in a cake safe to guarantee it arrives in perfect condition! An investment that we have made to make sure your investment is safe!
