Gorgeous hotel and located right downtown which was perfect because to get to the arch or botanical gardens everything was only 15 mins away which wasn't bad at all! Looks straight out of a movie. The room was cleaned to perfection & we had a great view looking out into the Forest Park. The only bummer about the whole stay was that our thermostat even though it was set at 65 it was blowing heat & felt like 72 (I noticed a few other people had made this same comment). This hotel far exceeded my expectations. I felt I was in a very safe part of the city. Barnes Jewish is right down the street. Amazing park across the street. Terrific neighborhood shopping and restaurants behind the hotel. The hotel itself, although older is fresh, remodeled, painted. The rooms are in good order, linens washed, tabletops wiped, bathrooms clean, carpets vacuumed. There are no odors. Rooms are spacious. Lastly, the staff is responsive, courteous, professional. The valet is prompt. The front desk is smiling. The housekeepers helped me. The event planning was great to work with. We utilized the Empire and Lenox meeting rooms. Each was great. The catered meals were terrific. Hot, cold, moist, well flavored. The men serving were courteous and met every single little request. 50 women in 1 room and all were satisfied! Thank you Chase! This is the go-to hotel for me and nearly all of my colleagues. Why?  It's located within the Central West End and guests can easily walk to local restaurants, the park and shops, etc. The restaurants and bar are lovely and usually hopping with guests and locals. We recently enjoyed a great live band. The rooms are beautifully-furnished and spacious. Ask for a suite or residence if you're planning an extended stay. What's more, The Chase offers a great pool, theater, gym and spa. We love this area!  We checked in at 6pm & our room was not ready.  It took over an hour.  I had 4 kids with me which was not fun, BUT the hotel receptionist was very sweet & apologetic.  It was my son's birthday & they left cookies & milk in our hotel fridge for us.  We discovered them late at night when the kids were starving.  It was a sweet surprise.  The Preston breakfast buffet was perfect.  Our king suite was huge & very clean.  The movie theater & pool were fun for the kids.  Overall, we had a great stay.  We love to wander the streets.  We love the local restaurants, chess hall of fame, chess club, Starbucks, library, Basilica, nearby grocery, and just the general vibe of the neighborhood. My favorite hotel in stl. It's always a treat for my family to take staycations here and our most recent stay was amazing. We decided to celebrate our daughter's 6th birthday here and the staff surprised us with dessert and beverages in the room. I love the Chase! It's the hotel that you never have to leave. You can swim here,eat,catch a movie and even workout. The spa closed but I'm not sure it was well utilized to begin with. Try visiting during the holidays where the lobby is nicely lit with decor. The rooms are a moderate size and priced within reason. During your visit you must enjoy a feast at the Tenderloin room. it's a restaurant located on the hotel property. More...

Great hotel. Room was spotlessly clean and recently renovated.  The view wasn't great but it was a very convenient location.  Lots of good restraints in walking distance.  Close to the interstate and Wash U.   Pool area was nice and the movie theater in the lobby was so convenient if you had kids.  I would stay here again. CPP was a wonderful experience through and through, from the very first introduction. Our concierge was named Danielle and was the nicest person I have met in the city! She made us laugh and check-in was actually enjoyable because of her and her bright personality. The establishment was everything we hoped for when we were looking to book a night close to all STL had to offer. My wife and I stayed at the Chase Park Plaza hotel this past weekend for our in town staycation/ honeymoon. The location of the hotel is amazing, if you love bouncing around the city and walking to shops and restaurants, and literally across the street from the best city park in the country. We were unexpectedly upgraded to a suite which was wonderful! The room was spacious, clean and had every amenity that we could ask for in a high end hotel. Oh and the elevators were very fast to get to the floor, which is not common and we loved that. The rest of the hotel was great; the pool got very crowded very quick but if you get down there early you don't have to worry about that. The only negative that I had to write about was the valet, it seemed like they were inexperienced and were having trouble with a few guests and it took a good while to get your car out and to you. I was in town for just one night, and Chase Park Plaza was the perfect short stay! Literally everyone that works there is so friendly, polite and always greeting. It's also so pretty inside and an overall huge place.. several bars and restaurants (I went to Chase for dinner - great experience), a movie theater, beautiful outdoor pool with lounge chairs, couches, and cabanas. You can dine out there as well if you'd like. I just soaked up the (hot) St. Louis sun for a bit with my book. My room was great as well. From what I gathered, they were recently remodeled. I had a suite with a king size bed (super comfy - I'm kind of a bed/pillow snob), and a lounging room off the other end that was quite spacious. Probably a bit much for me on my own but perfect for a couple to share. Super clean and tidy, coffee and a fridge, and enough floor space for my hotel-room workouts I enjoy doing while traveling. Oh and the AC cranked really low which made me an extra happy camper.Location wise, the Chase is perfect. Right near Forest Park - where I went for a (humid) run - and around the corner from lots of little bar/restaurants and shops. Definitely a walkable area. Absolutely LOVED staying here on our wedding night, and all of our guests would say the same! The Chase was great to work with, coordinating wedding blocks and even helping us accommodate guests who waited past the deadline to book. Awesome home away from home for a few nights! Every single time I walked through the main door I was greeted with a smile and a hello from the staff and/or doormen. They made me feel like a movie star when they wouldn't let me carry my suitcase by myself *giggle* :) The hotel has a very grand feel and was very clean throughout. I had a suite in the newer construction wing and it literally smelled brand new. The carpets were clean and everything was bright and crisp! I popped down to the Chase Club for some nibbles and a glass of wine. Their iconic lounge has live music and was packed even on a Thursday! There was a few couples that were dancing on the floor right alongside the live music and I caught myself smiling. The energy was so electric that I wanted to join them! The woman on stage was beautifully belting out "At Last" and that's exactly what I was feeling when my wine arrived and the stress from the day disappeared.
