Went to Mr. Fish Seafood Restaurant while on a family vacation at Myrtle Beach. It was not quite busy on a Saturday night and we were seated right away.

The restaurant owners clearly took the time and effort to establish an inviting and beautiful interior, with paintings and signage across the restaurant indicating a fish theme...as would be obvious.

Our waiter was extremely pleasant and helpful, asking if we were ok and if there was anything additional we would need.

The food itself was pretty good, I would say a solid 4 stars. It would not be my go-to for sushi, but the fish and crab were on-point and well-liked by everyone in the party.

I love Mr. Fish! Especially because they almost always offer Grouper, my favorite fish. It's also reasonable priced and their house wine is great! A big crowd can slow down the service at times, but our server Tyler was great on our recent visit. The house salad isn't some piddly salad, it had a substantial amount of veggies. Love their ranch dressing. Oh, and watch out for those hushpuppies! I visited the bar while we were waiting for a table and there were a few patrons at the bar. Unfortunately, I had to wait several minutes for service and to pay the tab, such that the other person in our party was seated by the time I was done. Bartender seemed overwhelmed.

This place is great. The atmosphere makes you feel all cozy like your a sea captain and your here with your crew. Everything about mr.fish is amazing the service was beyond extraordinary and the food was all fresh. And you can walk right next door to there fish market and buy fresh seafood as well. I am on vacation in Myrtle beach right now and this is by far where I will be returning before I leave to go home and when I come back next year I will be back again.

First time visiting the "new" location since it moved from 34th. Glad to see they still have a fish market during the day! Food quality was really good, serving sizes have been cut down, preparation seemed the same great taste we remembered.
The restaurant was short staffed the night we went. Initially we were told it was a 45 minute wait at 8pm on a Tuesday night. The bar was completely empty, with no visible bar tender... weird to say the least. Service was friendly, and I'm sure given a normal night would have been excellent, but our server was obviously in need of a break. So glad they were able to expand, although I did miss the small, local feel of the old place! We will go again next time!

Best meal we've had all week! Everything we had was delicious and the coconut pie was out of this world. Plenty big enough to share! Great prices and great service! So glad we stopped here. Will definitely be back!

Sushi was okay. Oysters were okay. Fried combo of oysters and calamari with sauteed scallops was good but the calamari was a little rubbery and was served with a marinara sauce instead cocktail sauce. I deducted a star point due to service. While our server was sweet enough she didn't seem completely trained on the menu and seemed a bit overwhelmed by the number of tables or something. Being more attentive to our needs (drinks filled w/o asking or stopping by immediately after our food was delivered by someone else) would have resolved any issues we had. By the time she stopped by, we had admitted defeat and began our meals without the condiments we tend to like with our meals. Would still return and try more menu items. The food was pretty good and atmosphere nice for a hearty lunch.

Visited the market side only. Friendly greeting from all staff when we got there. Ordered their jumbo peeled and deveined shrimp from Ecuador as they weren't in season yet. Steamed them right there for us. Things are the size of mini lobster tails and so tasty. Took my order by name and spoke to me by name throughout the whole process like I'd been there a hundred times. Got the house cocktail sauce and it's awesome! $15.99 lb and that's a deal. Delicious! Will be back!

Sushi was okay. Oysters were fantastic, great flavor well shucked. I'm a Myrtle Beach local since day one, and let me tell you, this is one of the few places in town that ACTUALLY has fresh seafood, its honestly the best in town. I always get the sushi, which is also the best i've had in Myrtle Beach. Mai is usually our waitress and she is the best, very attentive and makes sure your taken care of. If you're gonna go to a seafood buffet, just throw that idea out the window and come here. It's about the same amount of money and your food will actually be fantastic.

There were not many people when we visited this place on Saturday morning for our early lunch. Got skeptical about all the reviews and ratings this place has, but once the food arrived we were happy. Lot of options to choose from, and also has great sushi too. It’s a decent place to go for seafood.

At Myrtle beach, a long 22 west there is a long strip of seafood restaurants as well as breakfast joints on each side. Let's just say, picking just One out of many can be hard decision. However, if you like raw oysters- Go here. The oysters are plump, juicy, and sweet. Squeeze a little lemon juice and Tabasco sauce and shuck that down for a refreshing seafood treat. We have noticed that all the restaurants we have went to at Myrtle Beach serve Hush puppies as an appetizer, and Mr. Fish has one of the best.

My husband and I chose Mr. Fish last night for dinner instead of going to a large buffet. We were not disappointed! The good was excellent, the service professional, prices were right, atmosphere was pleasant. We plan on going again during our three day trip here. Thank you, Kyle, our server! Job well done!

Went twice during 3 day stay in Myrtle Beach, recommended by our bartender at the Marriott. Excellent food and pleasant service. Fish was served fresh and in generous portions. Hush puppies are not the style we are used to near Annapolis but were delicious... almost more like hush puppy donut holes. Crab dip was excellent. Service was very courteous and went those little extra steps to take care of our small requests. Prices were reasonable for the food. Will definitely come next time were are here!

Excellent food and service. The fish is excellent, when there is a seafood market tied into it, you know its fresh. Every item was great, the sweet potato fries were fantastic. We will definitely go back.

One of our regular stops at the Beach! Mr. Fish has delicious, fresh food at reasonable prices. From toddlers to seniors, everyone can find a favorite dish or two. Generous portions are found, and if they're too much, an appetizer and a salad will hit the spot.

Great food. Great service. Jenny was amazing. Had a Salmon Salad. The hush puppies are a great starter. Will definitely go back and sit in Jenny's section.

I wasn't sure about this place when we walked in, seemed very touristy. But the service was excellent, and food was delicious. My DH had the seafood alfredo, very good. I had crab cakes and they were also fantastic. Took off a star because there was very little for my non-fish-eating son...which is understandable, but still.

Had the Boom Boom Shrimp app and Calamari app, generous portions. The combo dinners come with two sides. Shrimp and flounder were very good. Crab balls were good. Average prices. Nice staff and decor.

Best seafood meal I've had in a restaurant in a long time. Breaded haddock, salmon sandwiches and dragon roll sushi were amazing. Dina was a wonderful server, she made it a very delightful experience for the whole family!

Great happy hour, good prices. Honestly we have not dined here, only been to the bar. The staff has been pleasant but seems to be missing that southern hospitality. They are closing for a few weeks to do some deep cleaning & some remodeling so maybe some changes are coming. Having some interior design experience & some slight OCD, the decor bothered me. For one example, the ladies room handicap stall had 5 different themes alone! From fish to Native Americans & back to Paris...but the colors matched great. Anxious for reopening.

One of my new favorite places. Be sure to ask for favorites like grouper bites that are not on the menu other than sampler plate! Make some special ordered sushi also - tasted amazing and nice slices. Drink selection reasonably priced and happy hour times are definitely worth it! Loved it!

First I'll say that the food was really good. Couple of things though were not right We asked how much the crab legs were and our waitress told us $18 a pound. So when we ordered we ordered 1 pound of snow and 1 of king. They came out still half frozen. They were really good but we had to send part of them back to be cooked more.

The appetizer we ordered was excellent. It was the sampler platter and everything was excellent.

When bill came we were charged $33 for the king crab when we were told " crab legs are #18 a pound. Our server DID NOT distinguish between the different crab legs and that was her fault. She did nothing to correct it when we pointed it out so we left her a smaller tip.

That's why a 3 instead of a 4 or 5 ......the food was really good but the experience was lacking...

We were told a 30 min wait because we had 6 people. OK we waited only about 2 mind to be seated but our waiter was extremely slow. Guess that is where the 30 min wait time came in.. food was excellent and I was satisfied. Unless you are more of an all you can eat buffet type, the portions should be good for the average person. So long story short good is great, portions are good servers are friendly but not Johnny on the spot! I would definitely go back though
