The best breakfast place we have been to in a long time. Went with 3 other people, and we all ordered different items... and HAD to share bites. The food was amazing! The atmosphere cozy. And the staff friendly. Plan on going back again. More...

I had brunch there this morning with a girlfriend. What a great experience! The service was excellent. Just enough attention without hovering. I had the Avocado Toast with Poached Eggs. Believe me, it's just as good as it sounds! The avocado was lightly dressed with olive oil, lemon and a little basil. Wow, so refreshing. I really loved the poached eggs too. They were perfect! Keep doing what you're doing guys! I can't wait to go back! More...

Imagine going through the keyhole that leads up the Longs Peak and there on the other side overlooking the vast valley below sits a cafe, this is exactly the food you'd expect to be served. I had the Motherload breakfast...Two eggs served with rustic home fries, two strips pecan wood bacon, one banger sausage, and one lemon buttermilk hotcake. I also had a hot cider that was delicious. Our server, Elsa, was delightful and took the time visit with us and share the cafe's unique story. DON'T LET THE EXTERIOR OR LOCATION FOOL YOU! Can't wait to go back...again and again. More...

This is the best breakfast in town! I've never ordered something I didn't love-- they smoke their own fish and meats in house, make and bottle their hot sauce and BBQ, AND make a killer bloody mary.

Excellent service, interesting ambience and a menu of creative plates, what's not to love? I had the cheddar jalapeno grits with shrimp; the meal was even tastier than anticipated. I requested a to-go box when the breakfast arrived but I finished it all. My husband ordered the lumpfish crab omelette with roasted potatoes and fresh asparagus. Like me, upon seeing the quantity, he requested a to-go box; he, too, completely cleaned his plate. The specials described on the menu are a "foodie's" delight. We cannot wait to return the next time we're in the Boulder/Longmont area. #MotherLodeCafe More...

Why there isn't a line to get into this place on a Saturday morning is a mystery to me. Maybe it's the fact that it sits in an unlikely looking building in an unlikely semi-industrial neighborhood, but if you reject it based on a drive-by, you will be making a big mistake. The space inside is nicely appointed and the food is terrific. Great Bloody Mary's, full bar, house-made hot sauces...and the best goat cheese grits I've ever had! Don't miss this place. More...

Went there for lunch today based on recommendations. At first site outside, I was a bit skeptical. After getting inside everything with the visit changed. It's a real comfortable environment, the wait staff was unbelievably upbeat and seemed very genuine with welcoming us in. I had the beef brisket burrito, it came out fast, and then I had to try the different sauces with it...still wishing I would have bought a bottle or two of the bar b que sauce before I left, guess this gives me a good reason to go back next time I'm in Longmont. We had just driven 7 or 8 hours from UT and were meeting friends at their house. Plans changed at the last minute, and we met them at Motherlode instead. I'm glad that happened! My brisket was excellent--perfect fuel for the JRAD show we were heading to. Also, Gwen is the greatest server of all time. Good food and friendly service. I would definitely recommend this place. One of the best hidden gems in Longmont. Their breakfast is second to none and not your average offerings - although they have them too. The chillaquiles is superb!

Yum! Have elevated/BBQ'd classic brunch fare in a cozy hipster mining cabin. I had the biscuits and gravy (holy buttery flaky homemade biscuits) with eggs and bacon. My husband had the brisket breakfast burrito with green chili, which I would usually think is a waste of brisket, but damn this is good and it works. We ordered a lemon buttermilk hot cake to share and it was perfect. The coffee comes from Hotbox Roasters and is on point. I did not try a Bloody Mary (my mistake), but I plan to next time as it features their Motherlode Provisions custom mix. Also, the playlist was fantastic. Bottom line--we'll be back. More...

The dining room is nicely decorated and the staff were very friendly. The food took a little while to get to our table, but I mostly attribute that to it being busy. The Eggs Benedict left a little to desired, but that will by no means keep me from visiting again. More...

This is my favorite spot for working remotely. They have great WiFi and a good atmosphere for getting work done (plus a very friendly staff). The food is fantastic, I highly recommend the house breakfast (The Motherlode, I believe, spacing on the name right now). But in doing my best to try everything on the menu I have failed to find something that I don't like. If you're into Pancakes and Waffles, they're some of the best I've had in Colorado as well. Very good addition to the Longmont area. More...

The whole family loved this place! They have lemon buttermilk pancakes which are amazing and the sausage gravy is great. Seems like they are serving real syrup and not the fake stuff you usually get at restaurants. Cute decor with a bar so you could get a bloody mary with your breakfast. Located south off Ken Pratt in an area surrounded by industrial shops, but worth seeking out for your brunch! More...
