You can not go wrong with Justin at Moderndog. I went to 3 other trainers before him, they were all purely positive dog trainers, and all they did was teach my dog tricks. Justin help me to get my dog to stop pulling on the leash,jumping on people,and the big one barking at dogs on our walks. Justin was calm and patient with my dog, Susie, who can be very difficult. Ringo spent three weeks with Justin as a board and train, and the experience was fantastic. Ringo came home more attentive, better trained in a variety of situations, and better socialized with other dogs. He was also more relaxed in general. Justin is obviously really good at what he does. The knowledge Justin has about dogs is truly impressive. I have been to many other trainers who could not help with the problems I was experiencing. Justin showed me how to use a plastic prong collar in a very gentle way, plus techniques with my body to successfully stop my dog from pulling me around in one lesson. We have taken Kammy to Modern Dog for obidience training the past three weeks. It is amazing what Justin can do teaching dogs. She has learned to sit, place, walk by heel (Fuss), slow and fast, as well as 'leave it' and also to down; and waits for the 'free' command. When given the command 'leave it' she sits and then actually lays down on her own. She is learning better every day. We are proud of her, and thank Justin for his patience with a very energetic and strongwilled 1 year old Dachshund. I have gone to other trainers & nothing compared to this lesson with Justin! We have a very high energy dog with lots of needs, Justin catered to him & helped us with our specific questions. We sent our blue heeler - Gunner for a 7 day board and train. Our dog is very sweet, but was very excitable and we got over whelmed by his behavior and we're not confident with him in public. We took him in hopes that our sweet dog would be able to meet new people in a calmer way so that others could see that. Justin Cloud is a fabulous trainer. Sessions were 1:1 at his location on South University. He worked with our 11 month old Westie. ..then we could go home and reinforce his techniques. Sophie can do tricks (sit, lie down, shake), and walking on a leash was changed immediately. He also recommended a “pet convincer” device that has helped enormously on her unwanted behaviors. My pup and I loved our time with Justin. Tina (my dog) isn't great about meeting new people/dogs and he was very patient, kind, and taught me how to approach the situation. You learn as much as your dog does - if not more. There was so much I didn't know.

We took our golden retriever puppy Ellie to Justin when she was around 9 months old. She was a jumper and a leash puller to the point where my roommates and everyone else around us would get annoyed with her, and walking her was a full upper body workout. We did the 4 personalized lessons with Justin and after the first day we could see a major difference in how she walked. By the end of the lessons she doesn't pull, the jumping is much more manageable now, and she is significantly more obedient than she ever was before, in addition to knowing several more commands than before. Justin is an outstanding teacher and a terrific business owner as well. I would recommend anyone who wants a more obedient, well behaved dog go see Justin. His programs are personalized (if you chose that option) and you WILL see results. He has all 5 star reviews on google at the time of this writing, and there's a very good reason. More...

We drove 2 hours to.this guy.... the communicate is worth it he trained him faster in ten minutes then we could in 3 months so if you live far away it's worth the drive.
