Come here for the sandwiches not the pizza. They do have pizza but I found the slices average at best. They thin and floppy NY slices but lacked any real taste. The sandwiches are probably the main draw as with any Italian Deli. The Mickeys Combo is cotto salami, ham and bologna, not exactly a fancy sandwich but interestingly had a delicious appeal to it despite it not coming across as what I figured a classic Italian hoagie would be  (I realize now that they have a more traditional Italian sub on the menu that I likely missed). I've tried a lot of different things from Mickey's. Their pizza wasn't my favorite thing but their pastas, salads, and sandwiches are some of the best! ! My mom LOVES their lasagna and chicken Alfredo and I love their spaghetti and meatballs!! Their pastas all seem to come with a huge garlic bread too! My husband last got their meatball sub and said it was also really good. I've tried the Hermosa Chicken sub and that was also really tasty. All of the portions are also huge! The staff is very friendly! I wish they had more tables outside. There are only 2 tables outside with umbrellas, the others are on the sidewalk. No tables inside. So we just bring our food to the beach or home (we live just two blocks away) to eat it. They have a convenience store inside which is always stocked with great drinks and other snacks. More...

This place is great! Close to hermosa beach. We stayed at a hotel near by and we were able to walk there. It has a convenient store type feel. They had sandwich's and pizza to order. Their pizza was to die for! We had a small and it fed two adults and two small kids. They have a small table with seats inside and a few small tables outside as well. The price was very reasonable. Update: I placed an order for takeout at 11:55. It did not seem to be too busy when I arrived at 11:20. I receive my order at 11:38. Almost 45 minutes for a Veggie calzone. I am very patient and am not in a rush. That is why I gave a 25 minute window for the order to be placed and prepared. I get so frustrated sitting and waiting. This does not need to happen. So why does it?Food: I Had a calzone it was great! However they don't they give plastic utensils and you can't cut the food you have to saw it. Huge flaw as the calzone is thicThe wait time was quite long, which is fine for good food. However they don't tell you a wait time or give closure on anything. Restaurant/Market: Since it functions as a beach grocer/candy store its a nightmare. There are kids everywhere loitering who take 15 minutes to decide what they want. Restaurant? It's like a convenience shop that happens to make an awesome pizza.Pastrami pizza? Don't knock it til you try it. I'm a fan. Thlo me this is the best pie in the South Bay.You can't drink inside, but you can outside before you go and enjoy the beach. Great little market practically on the beach. It's not cheap but you can find coffee, a cold drink, or a sandwich while you're at the beach. I believe this is the last of it's kind anywhere on the South Bay beaches. Reminds me of my childhood visits to the beach. It's a funky little place like Hermosa was before the rich folks moved in. Location being perfect for me aside, this joint has some delicious food to eat. Like any other place, pick the winners and you'll be satisfied. I was recommended the pastrami deluxe with pepper jack cheese. This sandwich is bomb and juicy I'll ask them to hold the lettuce if not eating all right away. The ham and cheese calzone is no joke tasty. This is one of the better things you will ever put in your mouth. Think I'll ask to add ricotta for me on the next one because I understand that they don't include any on the standard order. Haven't tried the pastas yet I will though. Wish me luck More...

The pizza is absolutely fire here, it's really freaking good, I like that it's close to the beach and the food is delicious. Its located inside a store so you can also grab snacks and drinks on your way out, parking is almost never an issue but I also tend to go later in the day so that might help Haha but the employees are always very welcoming and the are is good, the pizza is the best part haha really good, definitely recommend going here if you want delicious pizza.
