We've been going here for three plus years. This past week was best yet. We normally get the sliders and the wings. Â The sliders were WAY better than past. Thicker with carmelized onions and cheese. To die for. Our daughter usually gets the grilled mac and cheese sandwich which she also said was a lot better than past. So cudoos if there's a new chef or just decided to upgrade some things. Today was a special occasion, the birthday brunch for an awesome friend. He chose to have the gathering here at Metro. There were seven of us and we were seated near the front. Our waitress, Carlee was super-attentive and patient with everyone constantly asking for drinks! She truly made us feel welcome. Everyone stated how delicious each dish was. I thought the prices were reasonable for the quality and portion size. I had the eggs Benedict and it was perfectly cooked. We brought a birthday cake and shared it with the staff. I went there on a Thursday, Karaoke night, place was packed and great atmosphere. Bar tender was great, but understandably service was a little slow since they only had 2 bartenders and were so busy. I would definitely go again.

I had been at a Classical RVA concert with a friend and we were looking for a place we hadn't dined at before and was open late on a Sunday night. A Google search lead us to Metro Bar and Grill. What a great find! A great experience! The food was amazing and unexpected. Flavor combinations leaving us wanting more. Pub food elevated to the art of good eating.Greg, our server and manager, couldn't have been more friendly, accommodating, or caring for the customer. The service and food was exceptional but the karaoke DJ was a bit of a disappointment...there’s no need to speed up a song and make the singers seem incompetent based solely on his discretion. I’ll go back for the service but not for karaoke..truly disappointing on that part More...
