We are a husband and wife team dedicated to creating custom specialty sweets for every occasion. Our desserts are deliciously and beautifully made with love. We use local ingredients when possible and real butter, milk and vanilla. Gluten free and vegan also available.

A true hidden gem. I work in the area and it took me some months to notice the place, but I've been going at least once a week ever since. Everything I've tried is amazing. Not only is it my favorite place in the area, it's among my top favorite bake shops in the city because their stuff is SO good across the board. I've tried their brownies, cupcakes, cookies (snickerdoodle was my favorite!), cake pops, carrot cake, banana bread - the texture, moisture, flavor and sweetness are very well balanced for all of them. The place is owned by a sweet young couple. They're super friendly and nice, and you can tell they put a lot of love and care into the place. It's a cozy little shop, with beautiful tiered cakes in the window. When you walk in, there is a little bell on the counter to ring, and the owner will come out to greet you. It's a really nice place to step away from the bustle and chaos of McDonald Ave, and it's super convenient by the 18 Ave F train stop. They are also the only place carrying almond milk for their coffee (if you are lactose intolerant like me). A must-try spot for lovers of all sweet baked things! More...

ME Bakes has become the go to for cakes for any and all occasions!Maggie and Eddie are stellar owners - they are extremely prompt in answers and exceptionally friendly. So far, birthday cakes (chocolate-peanut butter, tres leches), casual orders (green tea with black sesame) have all been delectable.The icing on the cake (ha!) is our wedding cake. All 3 tiers were delightful with the coffee-chocolate pairing and gorgeously designed. Both Maggie and Eddie guided us through tastings, ideas, and design concepts, and they delivered (figuratively and literally) for our banquet night.We adore going to their shop, it's very homey and well laid out with displays. My most favorites are the rice pudding pastry and cupcakes. I will keep you updated if I come across other favorite pastries from this bakery!
This lovely couple is passionate in baking & decorating cakes.
The main point is their pastries and cakes are NOT too sweet in taste, you can eat more without feeling guilty! LOL

All around the best bakery I know! The owners are so pleasant and creative with the cake design, the place is very clean, the cakes are beautiful and, last but not least, the cakes are so delicious.
I am truly not a sweets person but something about their cakes...I have to find a reason to get more cakes from there.
Cakes - not overly sweet, even the frosting is not overly sweet. It just taste delicious. The cake is soft and the perfect amount of sweet. Makes me feel I can eat more without the guilt...or at least a little bit more. I am in such awe as to how they make the cake taste so good.
Professional - they have great suggestions for the cake design and are more than willing to take suggestions. Easy to work with and accomodates for pick up times.
Hidden Gem - I'm going to take advantage of the decent prices until everyone finds out about this place. Although in an far location for me (LI), it's worth the trip. And our guests compliment us on the cake.

I work in the area and there aren't many great food options around here, let alone any bakeries til MeBakes came along.
They bake really great goods and have excellent service! The cake decor they do is amazing ♥ ♥
Currently my favorite things from there: Smores Cookies, Pumpkin Bar (Especially Muffin version), Pecan Brownie pie during the holidays and they made me some really cute dinosaur cupcakes for my roommates birthday!
If you in the area, stopping her is a must. Despite being small, a really nice place to just relax have a drink and read or in my case: draw!

I love that I get to work with the love of my life doing what I love to do- which is decorating cakes.
What inspired you to start your own business?
ME bakes stands for Maggie and Eddie bakes. My husband and I met when we were working together at a bakery. I noticed his exceptional baking and fell in love. Seeing his passion and talent in baking challenged me to further develop my skills in decorating. We started off with doing cakes for family and friends until we were doing it so much that ME Bakes came to be. Starting our own business was the natural next step for us.
Why should our clients choose you?
In our logo we have a line that says, "custom made with love" and really that's our secret and what makes us better than other bakeries. From baking the cake to decorating it, my husband and I are a part of the process. Each cake is made fresh with local ingredients. We use real eggs, butter, milk, and vanilla. We never compromise on the quality of our ingredients. A lot of bakeries can make either delicious cakes, OR beautiful cakes but very few can do both. Because we are blessed with talents that compliment each other so well, we are able to do both.
