To say that Mayhem changed my life would be accurate. I had been a bodybuilder for over twenty years... Until I discovered strongman! I've never felt such freedom in a gym environment before and the energy is contagious (and they're dog-friendly!). I've learned more here in a few months than I did from years of grinding away alone. It's a family. Thank you, Sean Murphy, for everything! More...

My training partner John and I visited Mayhem for Strongman Saturday. This was an event that instructed us on how to properly perform various strongman movements and to try out some unique movements. We had an absolute blast and now we are both preparing for our first Strongman competition in August. Without this experience, we'd never have felt comfortable doing anything like this. The atmosphere was pure motivation, fun and high energy. We will be back. Count on it. Thanks, Coach Sean Murphy! More...

I was selected to participate in the 20/42 challenge. I was skeptical at first, as the offer seemed too good to be true. I was so wrong!
Coach Sean Murphy is absolutely incredible. He is motivating, effective, and to the point. Although in some regards it was hard work, it was also very easy to get results. Sean's program and guidelines were spot on. I went to class, followed his dietary suggestions, and saw incredible results. I dropped over 20 lbs and 20 total inches in 6 weeks.
I had struggled with various other methods/programs, but this program just works! Great trainer, great people, and an overall great experience.
As a competitive Jetski competitor, fitness is a huge part of my ability to ride and compete at a professional level. This program gave me an edge that I'd never had before. I felt more comfortable on the ski, both physically and mentally, as my self confidence was high. I was able to push harder physically, and was more comfortable doing it mentally. I felt like a mini superman when I completed this program. I was stronger, faster, more flexible, and had more endurance than ever. This years riding was my best ever, even at 42 years old.
When you're ready to take your fitness to the next level, or simply want to try something new, give Mayhem Fitness and Cross Training a try! You won't be disappointed!

I just got finished the 6 week challenge and dropped 21 pounds and that was even with missing a full week in the gym due to illness. I loved training at Mayhem. I am a Navy Vet well versed in fitness and training but since I have been out I work and go to school full-time. For my job I drive all.over the state which means a lot of sitting and gas station food, and so I had gone into full dad bod mode. I putt 40 lbs on in the last year and a half and had to make a change. I knew about mayhem through my sister who lost over 90 lbs while training with Sean, so I decided to try the challenge and take back control over my health. The challenge was fun and very informative Sean tells you and shows you everything you need to succeed. The meal plan was easy to follow and to stick to inline some other programs I have done. The workouts were great but killer. I have trained for collegiate football and as a rescue swimmer in the Navy I also did Cross fit for a year and a half. So to say I know a little something about training and pushing myself would be an understatement. Sean's workout where high intensity but they were also low risk of injury. He offers a lot of variation in the workouts to meet your comfort level and ways to step it up if your hungry for some pain. I think any novice or veteran fitness individual could walk in a receive a great workout and coaching from Sean and his trainers. He is also extremely motivating if you need to be pumped up or maybe a kick in the butt. More...

I just started but I can tell you this...
Great place to train
Friendly and knowledgeable staff
No judgement zone
Everyone is there to help you accomplish what it is you want to accomplish

If you are like me and need a kick in the rear end to get yourself healthy and in shape, this is the place for you!! They make the environment so welcoming that it makes you want to keep coming back!!

Update:

First and foremost, I have never been one to give reviews but I feel this place needs one. If you are like me, you have been in shape before and know how great that feels. However, life can throw some mean punches your way and knock you down time and time again. The next thing you know, you don’t even recognize who you had become. I saw the ad on Facebook for the 6 week challenge and wondered if it was really a legit program and place. I pondered over clicking the link and submitting my info for a couple days. The ad kept popping up and I finally decided to click on it. Let me tell you what, I am so glad I did!! This place is amazing and I don’t see myself going to any other gym what so ever. From the top down, you will never have to second guess what you are doing and if it is going to work. Sean, the owner, is such an amazing guy. He truly cares for each and every person who comes thru those doors, you are never just a client to him, you are way more than that and he isn’t afraid to tell you that. The workouts are great and the information that is given to you, it’s top notch. He takes the guess work out of the whole thing. The only thing you have to do is follow the plan and you will achieve what you set out to do. I just finished my 6th week and had my final weigh in, I lost 29lbs and 4.4% body fat. I never thought it would be possible to do any of that, but with Sean’s knowledge and guidance, I have no doubt that no matter what your goals are, you WILL achieve them. Thank you for all that you do for us Sean!! May you continue to have great success in all that you set out to do sir!!

I had been working out by myself in the gym setting for about a year, but was wanting something different when I stumbled upon Mayhem’s FB post. I called and made an appointment. I really didn’t know what to expect and had not planned on joining that day. I had heard nightmare stories about Cross Fit Gyms and inuries, but I remember feeling extremely at ease when talking to Sean. He told me his story, explained his qualifications and asked me what I wanted to accomplish. I thought, “Wow, ok. No other gym has asked me this before.” Further, I was comfortable that I would be as injury-free as possible because Sean focuses on teaching the correct techniques from the beginning. After telling him a little bit about myself, I looked at him and said, “Really, I just want my outside to match my inside. I want to be strong!” He said, “We can do that!” and I was in. I joined that day in March 2018. Now, this isn’t your typical gym by any stretch of the imagination. It is all shapes, sizes, backgrounds...and everyone is family. From my first workout I was welcomed, encouraged, high-fived, cheered for and motivated.
I didn’t plan my time well in the first 12 weeks because of other obligations and I also suffer from chronic migraines. I started feeling guilty, but not guilty in the sense of I paid this money and I’m not going guilty like we all do after we join a gym. Guilty, because I absolutely wanted to be there to workout and I hated missing a day. Sean reaches out to make sure you’re doing ok as well as others from the gym - not because they have to - they want to. Who does that?! THIS gym!
I knew before my 12 weeks was up at the end of May that I be joining for another year. I’m super excited to see the changes in my body and strength. I can’t wait to see how things develop over the next 12 months. I enjoy the different and challenging workouts every day and open gym on Saturdays are a huge bonus. It isn’t easy or for the faint of heart, but I promise you if you want something different - Mayhem is it! We are friends, we are family, and we are Mayhem Maniacs.

I signed up for the twelve week program at Mayhem. Sean and Kagan are 100% positive and helpful with form, nutrition, and any other questions you may have when going through the program. Each individual is positive, friendly, and a blast to work out with.

I have asthma and a slew of other health problems. I had worked out at Golds Gym before but I find the weight machines and cardio machines boring. This gym is fun, interactive, and each workout is different and challenging.

After 12 weeks, my asthma is under control and my health issues are melting away! 27 pounds and 27 inches with hard work and support are completely gone. If you're hesitant about signing up, don't be. Jump in and come work out - it will change you for the better!

I found out about MXT through a friend's post on Facebook. They were advertising a free 6 week challenge to lose 20 pounds or 5% body fat. I signed up for an orientation and after talking with one of the trainers, Sean Murphy, I decided to try it.
Just a little background on myself... In march of 2016 I had a full left hip replacement, so I had lost a lot of confidence after my surgery and started putting on weight. It got to a point where I just got sick of being uncomfortable in my clothes and always trying to suck in my gut. I was apprehensive about trying anything too strenuous because I didn't want to overwork my hip replacement. But I had to make a decision...am I going to allow this replacement to control me and my activity level or am I going to take control and put this replacement to good use? Needless to say, I decided the latter. And I am so glad I did!
Working out at MXT was the best thing I could have ever done for myself. Not only was I able to strengthen my hip but I was able to really learn what workouts work best for my body as well as focus on my nutrition. This experience has given me so much confidence! I am so much stronger!
If you have any limitations: hip replacement, joint issues, back issues, etc. don't let that stop you! Sean will modify the excercises to fit your ability but he will make sure to give you just the right amount of push you need in order to get results.
When I first stared, there were certain excersises I could not do. By the end of my 6 week challenge, not only am I able to do those same excersises but I can also deadlift 175lbs! I've lost 10 pounds, lost 2% body fat and have gained muscle just about everywhere. My clothes are fitting better and I no longer have to suck in my gut. Please, give MXT a try. The people there are awesome and they make the experience enjoyable. I had such a great time! You will too!

This is one of those honest, old school value, fitness facilities that is all about self-empowerment and discipline. There is not a treadmill. .You will require discipline and the desire to empower and change yourself physically and mentally. (Yes, there is other equipment.) It is very family-istic and fun. The trainer is super friendly, motivational, and always puts the gym members first. It is not for everyone and that idea or "sell" is not sugar coated BUT everyone is always encouraged and welcomed. Everyone who is here is here because they want to be and coming on, I truly respected that coming on...and additionally, the trainers want you to have fun and truly enjoy your membership. The workouts again are cardio/ strength centered. CONS: You will be sore in places you didn't know existed. More...

What is this place? I have never heard of it until I stumbled across an ad on Facebook. Initially, I doubted it because it looked scammish but I went ahead and provided a contact number. The ad stated limited spots so it was a sign that people were signing up and when I clicked on the link, it appeared as if there weren't any left.. However, I was fortunate and received a call back.Again, I was skeptical because FB ads are tricky and that's to the general look of ALL ads I saw on FB. I was contacted a day or so after directly and appointed a time to have a consult. The place was tricky to find but it's tucked away where other warehouses are and sporting facilities. Who knew there was an area back there. Anywho, after consulting and learning about the type of exercise, the time offered, and discussing my goals, I went ahead and signed up. Again, I was very hesitant because I was nervous about group exercises and fearful of appearing unfit or ashamed but I took a leap of faith and said , Yes!Jumping ahead, the people are SO welcoming and the trainers are absolutely supportive and very easy to speak to. Yes, they encouraged me to push hard but it was the kick in the butt I needed. The coaches were never pushy, they were attentive to my limits and personal goals. Lindsay and Sean were who conducted the classes and they both complement each other well in terms of personality and gym environment. Pricing.. yes it can be viewed as expensive but it is not quite different in comparison to the amount you would spend on a personal gym trainer. Now if you're looking for more of a gym such as Crunch or YMCA where you are mainly independent or have a different fitness focus, then you may doubt membership here. This gym is VERY diverse in workouts, uses body exercises, and lifts. Each day offers something different and that is why I absolutely have yet to be bored from it. The workouts are challenging but you are never asked to go beyond your comfortable limits both physically and emotionally. The gym itself is just very fun, cool, and casual. They have a range of equipment from weighted balls to squat racks. If you like the pump, the burn, and sweat I believe you will enjoy the experience. Nutrition advice is offered as well and more independent plans if wished for. The facility has been open for I believe 6 or 7 years now which is a fantastic sign. The vibe is very familyistic and everyone truly is impacting. I would recommend the place to all of my friends and family just to at least give it one day's try. Anywho, I love it! More...

I stumbled across this place through a Living Social offer over a year ago and I've been coming ever since.  The personal attention and support you get from the two trainers is amazing and the community feeling among your classmates makes the intense workouts bearable, and even fun!  The schedule is a little rigid (they only offer classes four times a day  - 5:45am, 7 am, 8:30am and 5:45pm) and they are not open on the weekend.  They do however offer extra training sessions for charity once a month and additional workout plans in preparation for endurance races like Rugged Maniac and field a team of 15-20 for those events.
