My daughter had her heart set on The Ohio State University and as a HS junior in 2013 had taken the ACT twice with scores of 26 each time. A score of 27 was needed to be considered at OSU so I hired Matthew for four 90 minute sessions with my daughter. She scored a 30 on the ACT and was accepted at OSU in 2014. He is a great teacher with lots of experience and really gets to know what works and doesn’t work for the student. He helped me raise my ACT score 5 points after meeting once a week. He is very flexible and can do a lot over the phone so just because you don’t meet in person doesn’t mean you can’t get his great help. A very helpful, patient, and realistic teacher. He will help you with the problems and tell you how it is and where you need to improve, but that’s all because he wants you to get a high score just like you want to get a high score. More...

I highly recommend Matt for his math tutoring services. I increased my OAR (Officer Aptitude Rating) score 10 points after six weeks of tutoring with Matt, making my new score very competitive. Scheduling long-distance tutoring sessions once a week was easy and the length was perfect (1.5 hours). He showed me how to visualize word problems, which is what I needed. Matt has been awesome working with my 16 yr old daughter and her algebra. She was hesitant about Skype and tutoring online but it has been so great working with Matt. He is very professional and organized and took the time to review her tests and homework prior to the scheduled session.
