You just can't go wrong with this place. The food is tremendous and made with the kind of care you expect from a small operation. It only took me three visits for the people who Ranett, do you remember me and what I usually order. Don't pass this place up if you have the opportunity to enjoy a meal here. More...
Completely excellent. We went as a large family gathering and were treated as their family. The food was fantastic, the kids loved it, we loved it.

We had take out last night. This is a must visit resturanr. Very comfortable inside. I was warmly welcomed by every member of their staff. The owner welcomed me. Food was read. This was some of the best lamb I've ever had. The spice blend is really tasty and like nothing you have had in New Hampshire. I had similar spices in Singapore. My wife had stuffed grape leaves. Fantastic and the gravy with it very tasty.Great price and decent size portions.GREAT RESTAURANT! More...
So tasty! I can't wait to return and try more of the foods.
We were here on a busy night where they were under staffed so it took a while to get our food, BUT when the food came it was fantastic! Really nice people and excellent service. The falafels were cooked just how I like them, we had an assortment of appetizers which were all great, and finished with some nice Turkish coffee and Turkish delight. More...

The food was so good! The flavors are perfectly balanced with a touch of heat. Will definitely be back!
My husband and I were visiting from Boston and decided to stop by at this restaurant for some halal Turkish food. I ordered the chicken adana kabab wrap and my husband ordered the lamb shank. The chicken adana kabab was wrapped it a light airy wrap with garlic sauce and vegetables. I selected fries as my side. The chicken was cooked well and tasty. I felt that everything about it was great. I have not tried that specific type of tortilla wrap before and did not expect it to be so thin but it seemed to complement the chicken. The lamb shank was also delicious. My husband liked it. It melted off the bone! It was served atop some bulgur which was very tasty. Everything was delicious about it.The restaurant was clean and had plenty of seating. I knocked off a star for service. I felt that the waiter was not very attentive to our table except towards the end of our visit. More...
Best Turkish Restuarant in North East , deliciousness, beautiful presentation, hospitality, everything is perfect about this place . This place is jewel of Manchester.

We love Matbah! The food is always fresh and delicious! The atmosphere is totally chill and relaxed, and they don’t rush you out of there when you’re done eating. Lastly, the owner: he remembers you, talks to you, and shakes your hand when you leave, thanking you for coming. He’s truly appreciative! Can’t wait to come back. Oh, and get the lamb shank. To die for!!! More...

Matbah is the real deal in freshly prepared delightfully delicious Turkisk cuisine in Manchester NH. From the chicken yogurt soup to the cold mezze plate, falafel, yogurt mousse dessert with Turkish coffee and Turkish Delight candies this was an extraordinary dining experience. Decadent, authentic, full flavored cuisine. It was an amazing food experience, with friendly kind help. I definitely recommend the visit.
Very nice low key little place serving authentic Turkish food. Split a nice greek salad that was a little different, with maybe a hint of cinnamon. Moussaka was excellent, again with a slightly different spin. Bakalava was excellent. If you like Greek food try this for a similar Mediterranean cuisine with an interesting difference More...
This place is legit amazing! Highly recommend.
Probably best Mediterranean food in NH. The service, main courses and desert were outstanding. This establishment is worth driving from Boston to Manchester, just for the food alone.
Amazing, vast selection of Mediterranean delights. They had an eggplant dip available along a homemade hummus. It was served with well-seasoned flatbread. I had the roasted beet salad; it could have featured more beets but the dressing and arrangement overall was delicious. It seems like they do a substantial take-out business. Seating was mostly high-tops. Service was a little strained but pleasant. Clean- great, diverse menu and I will try again! My partner tried the lamb and it was falling off of the bone. More...
Very good food. Made to order. Vegan options

Fast friendly service and food is delicious!
Love it! Outstanding!! Very special. And the family that owns and runs it is warm and welcoming! We have a great Middle Eastern restaurant in Denver, and this is better!
Food is superb. I thought the prices were high and portions small for the ambience and experience.

Great food. Never had lamb before but irdered their lamb shank. OMG delicious! Great service also.
Very good food lovely staff will definitely visit again
Amazing food, and the Owner is an amazing host!! He explained everything and made the Turkish coffee amazingly!
We had Sigara Boregi, which is an appetizer of crispy filo dough, egg, fete, and herbs with little dabs of their white garlic sauce to dip it in. I had the Kofte, which was basically 3 little beef and lamb sliders with spices and herbs, most tasteful little bites ever, with a side of Bulgar Pilaf with onion, tomato, and green pepper. The wife had the Lamb Shank Dinner which was fall of the bone tender, moist, and delicious, it came with the Bulgar Pilaf, and mixed root vegetables. More...
We didn't get to eat here because it was closed for vacation. I still give it 4 stars because the menu looks fabulous and I was disappointed not being able to try it. Wonderful Adana kebab and baklava.
This place is a gem, tons of vegetarian options to choose from and everything tastes so authentic and fresh! Spice level is low, but everything tasted yumm! We ordered eggplant salad, falafel, manti, bread basket, and desert!Their Baklava is one of the best I ever had, definitely going back ! It's kinda on the expensive side but it's tasted really fresh ! Service was quick, had to find street parking as the venue is on a Main Street. More...
So good! We had lunch from here, my husband had the falafel wrap and I had the chicken kabob wrap, quality and flavors of both were excellent. They were served with a super refreshing arugula salad. First visit, a mid-week whim that couldn't have turned out better! Hubby and I were in the mood for grape leaves and yelp led us here. ..after reviewing the sizable menu, we didn't even get grape leaves! What we did get was super- the calamari, sigara boregi (spiced feta in phylo), and stuffed cabbage. Everything was fresh and delicious, plus friendly owners and server, nice decor. Can't wait to come back and try more items! More...
Amazing authentic food, what you see in the menu is what your plate looks like. Awesome service.
Had a great falafel wrap with an arugula salad (9.95). You could have it with fries instead of the salad. I’m still thinking about it, 2 days later.
Very nice place ,and great service . like the food is very very good..
What a great find. The food was fantastic and the owner shared his knowledge of Montenegro wine with me.

Authentic Turkish food, perfectly seasoned. Tasty! We’re huge fans of Matbah restaurant and visit regularly.
Matbah is a family run, genuine tasting Turkish/Med Restaurant. So many tastes and flavors running through our mouths after eating a supurb variety of foods. I wanted to keep eating for someone else after I was full to try everything on the menu. A real find so different from the everyday ordinary food we are accustomed to. Owners and Chefs Omer and Cigden Yasan have created a wonderful environment to experience food joy and want more. This food is made and spiced with love and an appreciation of traditional eats, and it is our priviledge to be able to share in their talent to create a truly memorable experience. We have been to so many places calling themselves a mediterranean restaurant serving boring eats and Matbah is the real deal. It was explained to us that the name translates to palace kitchen of the Ottoman Empire days. If you are anywhere near Manchester, NH, get to this place ASAP. More...
Excellent service, tasty cold mezze platter. Would've given 5 stars if larger portion sizes.
We happened on this restaurant when we were passing through Manchester. The food was AMAZING. I ordered the falafel and it practically melted in my mouth. It had wonderful, delicate spicing, and it wasn't dry. I also had the stuffed grape leaves. They were superb - once again, they were delicately flavored and spiced. Just perfect. We got desserts to bring home, too, and they were so, so, so delicious. The owner served us and he was super-friendly and helpful. I can't wait to go back next time I am in Manchester. More...
great atmosphere and friendly. exquisite food
This place was amazing. I have been telling everybody from work to visit this restaurant. The food and environment was great.
Omg that beef was so insane. The employees were so kind. I can surely say that they knew what were they doing. You should check this place out
The place is very nice and the attention of the staff is fast and very friendly. The food was delicious, from the beef liver to the lamb and the side dishes were very well prepared. Very good quality of food and fresh. We will definitely go back to Matbah. More...

Best in town!
Food was absolutely amazing its flavors usually just don't find around here
Great food! Really friendly owner and staff. They can help recommend dishes if you're new to Turkish/Mediterranean food. The kibbie was awesome!
Excellent reception by Omar and a lovely , culturally rich venue . The dishes we selected were beautifully presented and were delicious . The moussaka , while different from the Greek version , was delicious , served piping hot in a bowl and redolent with ground lamb . Comfort food ! My friend had lamb shank and bulghur pilaf - very tender - seasoned with cinnamon and allspice . Another friend ordered the stuffed cabbage and they were delicious , also served in a bowl and with ample hot chicken / lemony broth . The octopus salad pleased another friend - the octopus was extremely tender . The fresh bread and dip , like a Mediterranean salsa , very light and garlicky was good . The only thing I tried which I did not care for were the dolmathi, the filling was meatless but too sweet for my taste . The seasonings are very different if you are not acquainted with Turkish seasoning but the preparation , quality. No presentation of all the dishes was spot on - I would know , my son is an executive chef . The baklava was served artfully and with icecream - delicious My friend had a Turkish coffee - beautiful presentation , perfectly prepared . Only drawback / the bathroom facilities are down a flight of stairs . Bonus - before we left we were each presented with a long stemmed red rose by the most gracious gentleman , Omar . Matbah is a classy , culturally rich addition the Elm St and our city . There is various seating including a bar , high tops and tables that seat six and could be combined if necessary . A definite A+ More...

Excellent place to eat, owners talk to customers and take care of your meal experience.
nice service, great food.
My husband was looking for a Kibble sandwich. We didn't get a sandwich, but what we did get was a wonderful meal! So full of flavor! We loved it so much we bought $100 worth of take out. I highly recommend this place. The sign says subs, but it is a restaurant and the decor is charming. There is a surprise when you use the restroom- won't tell ya what's down there! It's wild. More...

My wife and I were looking for some Mediterranean food and decided upon Matbah. I am glad we did. Every aspect of our mean was top notch. The staff was friendly and professional. The food was great and we felt the prices were very reasonable. The place is a bit small so I would have to assume it may be heard to find a seat during prime eating times (we were there on a Wednesday). Overall, a great experience - highly recommend the place. This was a rather serendipitous find, but my wife and I shared an absolutely delightful light dinner. The owner/host was very personable and gracious. We can't recommend this place highly enough! More...
The food here was great! 6 of us in town for a business trip stumbled upon this jem. We were served by the owner who was extremely friendly and willing to answer all of our questions. Our second visit to Matbahs. Both have been very good. Not necessarily an expert in Mediterranean cuisine, but this place makes everything in house and the flavors were wonderful in every dish. My only dislike was the baba ganoush, but my wife enjoyed so probably just a taste preference. Definitely returning in the near future. More...

The place was well decorated and very clean. The staff were also very friendly. The food was incredibly good. And vegan. Had to ask about their sauces though. The place was very busy and we sat at the bar. The service was very friendly and they took time to answer my questions. The food was outstanding and there were a lot of vegetarian choices. Very tasty More...

Matba is a place worth checking out if you're looking for some Mediterranean food.
AMAZING ! Fresh ! If I could I would eat here everyday !
Great mediteranean food, fresh and tasty! Highly recommend
Service had a minor hiccup that the superior food easily overcame. I had the seared Hellim and lamb shank. Seared Hellim had the right caramelization on the outside. The lamb shank was awesome. Just a touch of Maillard outside and pure tenderness inside. I ate everything but the bones. Meat, fat, and tendon were all perfectly cooked and delicious. I'm a lamb shank guy and usually order whenever I see it in the menu. This might have been the best I've ever had. Even compared to Michelin-starred places in Europe. More...

homy decorated excellent service and delicious food
We didn't know much about the place before walking in. It surpassed my expectations. I make a lot of falafels in my home and I've tried falafels from a lot of different places. The falafels at Matbah were good! I was also pleasantly surprised with my hummus. I have high bars for both hummus and falafels. We tried different pita breads and those were all very yummy as well. The food's presentation was very pretty; definitely instagramable. The ambiance was nice. We went on a weekday night and the place wasn't super crowded. We were seated immediately and the service was quick. If I'm in the area again, I would be happy to return. More...

The food is absolutely amazing!!!
great place . love the food. our number 1 place for good food in manchester
Great food and service. Presentation of the food was excellent. The spices in the grilled meat were perfect. Will come back again!!
Just go! If you’re looking for fresh Turkish food it’s a must.
Everything is sooooo good! From lemon chicken soup, Baba ganoush, lamb, calamari and more!
The place is relatively small, but clean, well lit and inviting. I ordered the five piece Falafel plate and found it to be absolutely crisp and delicious, the best I've had. I ordered the fresh fish which was again, well-plated, and a delicious flavor. It was simple, but delicious. Then when I ordered the yogurt dessert, I was incredibly surprised about how different from my expectations it was and how wonderfully it tasted. The waitstaff was very attentive and cordial. The owner came by to ask how everything was, and what a delightful man he was. My only suggestion is to have more robust menu items. I'm definitely coming back... More...

I love this restaurant, it’s my favorite place in New England. I drive all the way there from Boston to get falafel and salmon witch are my favorite. Their house wine is also to die for. My boyfriend loves their moussaka and deserts. Food is always fresh and tasty, portions are perfect size and I can’t really complain about anything. I always feel very welcome there, owner is extremely nice, he makes sure that you have a good time there. I can recommend this place to anyone. More...
I've had the pleasure of dining here a few times now sampling a number of dishes and have yet to be disappointed. Flavors are simplistic yet vibrant, the ingredients are fresh and put together with care. Prices are on the high end of mid range but well worth it for the quality. Portions are more European but still satisfying. Wifi is free and the coffee is delicious! My favorites:Matbeh salad: I'm not one to order a salad as a meal but there is something about the greens, red cabbage, tahini sauce, and some of the best falafel I've ever had that make this salad the exception. I typically order mine with fillet mignon, the seared salmon is also very good. The addition of the meat for me makes this salad so filling I can't finish it in one sitting. Luckily the greens keep well enough I can still enjoy the left overs the next day. Turkish coffee: Your time at Matbeh is not complete without ending with this coffee. Turkish coffee is very finely ground and specially prepared. The notes are more bitter than sour so for me the coffee is delicious unsweetened but I'd recommend for most palates to ask for it sweetened. Speaking of sweet it also comes with a piece of Turkish delight! More...
Great service and high quality foods. The portions are small for the price.
AWESOME FOOD AND SERVICE!
Best. Mediterranean food in town! The owner Omar is amazing and attentive. The food is clean and gorgeous!
As always the food, service, and setting were wonderful. We all tried new dishes and loved everything.
I've been in twice now, once for lunch and once for dinner, and both were wonderful experiences! Our dinner experience: Each meal begins with their version of a bread basket with homemade, fresh bread and a tomato based dip. We ordered Kibbe to start which was out of this world! The seasoning was incredible and the flavor of the meat was beyond fresh and flavorful. We also ordered Sigara Böreği, which is crispy without being greasy and comes with the most delicious garlic sauce. For entrees we ordered Chicken Adana which was grilled perfectly and juicy. The chicked was perfectly cooked and the spices complimented the flavor. The side of red onions adds a nice sharpness. We also ordered Adana Kebab for the first time. Again, the taste of the meat alone was delicious but the spices make it incredible. This was a wonderful meal and we are very exciting to go back again very soon.Additionally, not only is the food delicious, but the service is wonderful. The owner waited on us and was very kind when we had questions and struggles to pronounce the dishes correctly. We cannot recommend this place enough! More...

We love trying different cuisines and stumbled across this Turkish gem. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. The owner is charming and the food is delicious. I am gluten free and there was special attention paid to my sensitivity. (GF and V are clearly marked on the menu). The lamb shank was succulent! (More gluten free entrees would be welcome). Three of us had the shank, and one of us the moussaka, which got very high reviews. We were celebrating our daughter's birthday and couldn't be happier with how it all played out. There is a nice selection of wine on the menu and plenty of hot and cold appetizers.Plenty of food for leftovers! I will be telling my friends about Matbah More...

Very friendly and accommodating with excellent service. We were the last ones to come in with less than an hr till closing and which they had no problem serving us. Food is FANTASTIC. Their lamb shank is highly recommended; meat so tender that it comes off the bone so easy with a fork. The kabob is awesome to, well seasoned, cooked perfectly. The sea bass filet was prepared well, a little small on the portion size. The sun dried tomatoes paired well with the sea bass, complementing the dish. Matbah decor is tasteful and clean. Overall, excellent experience and recommended, Matbah would fit in the NYC/NJ area. More...

Highly recommend this place if you are craving for some really authentic Mediterranean food. When the food arrives you instantly feel that a lot of effort and thought has gone into making it. Absolutely fabulous food and atmosphere!! We have had the pleasure of traveling and trying Mediterranean cuisine all over the world, and we can not recommend Matbah's enough. We ordered the Meze Plate appetizer, Matbah Salad, and Mix Grill entree so that we could taste as much of everything as possible. There was not one item we were disappointed with. The owners were so welcoming and clearly took pride in their establishment, as they have every right to do. We will never pass through Manchester without stopping in for this culinary treat. More...

Last night we went out on a date. Wandered down to Manchester and found our way to Matbah, a Middle Eastern restaurant. It’s small, warm, and inviting, and we felt instantly cared for. When the food arrived, it smelled and looked so delicious that we both reached for food instead of cameras, so you’re only getting the barest hint of the food’s beautiful presentation and its allure. The baba ganoush was smoky and unctuous, and I swear to you that the falafel was the best I’ve ever eaten. My moussaka and my husband’s stuffed cabbage were slightly different than we’ve had elsewhere, redolent with Middle Eastern spices instead of the Greek or German/Jewish styles we’re used to. It was all so delicious that there was nothing leftover to bring home. When Mason asked for coffee, our host asked for permission to bring Turkish coffee. The traditional service was so beautiful that we both sighed - and then each grabbed for the Turkish Delight sweet that was served alongside. This dinner - and the way we were cared for - was so special that it felt like a Christmas present. Happy sigh, indeed. More...

We had a phenomenal experience. Alex was incredible and a pleasure to talk to. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked, and we can't wait to go back for more. We ordered the sigara boreghi and Manti to start, the pan seared salmon, and a spread of all the meat selections with beets, onions, tomato, peppers, and rice. Couldn't wait to eat before snapping a picture of the spread. More...
Went here for a late lunch with friends and was really impressed with their food. We started with bread, hummus, falafel, calamari and sigara boreghi. All were excellent. The chicken adana and shish taouk kebabs were tasty and filling. Ended the meal with Turkish coffee and rice pudding and neither disappointed. Staff was also wonderful. We will definitely be returning. More...

wonderful food and great helpful staff.
Excellent service. The gentlemen who I believe to be the owner gave my mom free chips and salsa while she waited for my arrival. All staff were very polite and friendly. The food was excellent! More...
The food is great. Small but appropriately portioned amount of food for lunch. Slightly more expensive than other lunches in the area.
Extremely pleased with service and quality of food. Our server Hakan was very pleasant and made great suggestions for things to try on the menu. Omar (owner) came by to say hi and made us feel right at home. Food was fresh, tasty and authentic. Service was exceptional! I think this is my new favorite place north of Boston! Great job, Matbah team! More...

It was one of the perfect places i've ever gone! The options were awesome, the food presentation was awesome, the taste was , don't even mention about it!
I love everything in this restaurant. Cigdem chef who is the wife of the owner put a lot of affort on decoration of the plates. This is the first thing that attracts you. And then you taste the delicious flavors of the food. I have been there several times, but wanted to talk about yesterday's experience. We had a chicken soup which was so nice and spicy - goes well with squeezed lemon. Then there would be appetizers whose name is "acili ezme" was on the table. Five minutes after that there were "mucver" which is basically zucchini balls with a garlicky spicy yogurt mucver is always one of my favs. And then, mixed grill was on the table. We were with a group of friends, so we ordered little bit too much than usual mixed grill was amazing, you can taste the barbecue smell really well. And the final entree was sea bass-bronzini with arugula salad. Unfortunately that was the first time that I ate sea bass in here. It is so famous in Turkey, and really hard to find a tasty version in US. You know what, theirs was exquisite they said that they grilled first for some time and then put it into oven with generous amount of butter on it. You should taste it. And the final thing must be a dessert with hot Turkish tea after this long feast. I always order yogurt mousse and I did order it again yesterday. It is always delicious and fresh. I wish I took the photo of the dessert. I suggest everyone to try their mixed grill as well as sea bass-bronzini both are great main dishes to try. Ooh I was about to forget their hospitality with warm welcomes of the owner Omar. He talks with all customers sincerely and learns their expectations. Even chef Cigdem goes out of the kitchen to give a warm smile or hug. This place is hands down the best of the New England area. More...
Such a great little place! Very unassuming from the outside, but well worth a try. They take great pride in the food and the presentation was second to none. The Turkish coffee with Turkish delight is a must try! More...
I had a wonderful experience when I went here for my boyfriend’s birthday! The group of us split multiple appetizers, which were all so delicious! Then the 5 of us split an order of mixed meat kabobs and sides of pilaf, which were all amazing. The food was delicious and the portions were perfect. We left happy and not uncomfortably full. All the food tasted so fresh as well. My boyfriend was opening a gift at our table and one of the waiters asked my sister what his name was...then at the end of our meal, without anyone requesting it, the waiter brought out a piece of chocolate cake with a candle in t and played “happy birthday” over the speaker for my boyfriend! It was so thoughtful of them to do. The customer service was phenomenal. We had a great time and will definitely be back soon. I highly recommend this restaurant! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!! More...
Went tonight with good friends for dinner. Were greeted by friendly owners and seated right away. Ordered the dumplings which were exquisite followed by the mixed grill, stuffed cabbage and fried cheese. All were wonderful and reasonably priced. Good wine list and lovely Turkish coffee. For dessert we had the rice pudding and yogurt parfait. To Die For. Do not miss this place. The food, atmosphere and waitstaff are wonderful. More...

Remarkable Mediterranean taste, very friendly staff. They mostly have turkish food options. I've tried 6-7 dishes so far they were all delicious. Portions are smaller then regular mediterranean restaurants but tasty. They have not much dessert options but what they have are very unique. Highly recommend! More...
Thank you Omer & the rest of the staff for giving my mom an incredible birthday dinner tonight!!!! We love coming to your restaurant, your food is always mind blowing and your dining room is welcoming and fun. A group of us headed to Matbah last night after thoroughly enjoying a Beegees tribute band concert at the palace. Most of us had not been here before. What a remarkable, delicious, enjoyable experience! We shared numerous small plates of the best Turkish food ever. Everything was beautifully presented and again delicious. To top off the evening we all got up and danced with the owners, the chef, two unsuspecting patrons and all the kitchen help. We closed the place at 11 PM thoroughly sated and just plain happy. We give this incredible restaurant and all the lovely people there many thumbs up. You must go. We will be going back again and again bringing all our friends and of course dancing! More...
Excellent addition to Manchester's blossoming food scene. The food has many classic Middle Eastern dishes but they are uniquely Turkish and exciting. I highly recommend the Meze platter. The subtle variations on classics such as dolma, hummus, and tabouleh really set this place apart from other Middle Eastern restaurants. But what makes this place really special is the staff. Omar and the kitchen staff welcomed us into their restaurant with open arms and even took the time to feed our 11 mo son several samples. We will definitely be back! More...
Found Matbah while visiting Manchester for work. I was looking for something fresh and nourishing after a long road trip, and this restaurant was exactly what I needed. Great food and hospitality! All of the employees were very friendly and the food tasted like it was cooked with love. Had the mezze plate, sultan's favorite, and yogurt mousse dessert. The sultans favorite was a stand-out dish. It was lamb served on top of creamy roasted eggplant purée and finished with Za'atar spice. They really know how to cook an eggplant! More...
Delicious food, friendly service, clean restaurant. We started off with kibbe as an appetizer. Yummy. I ordered the fillet of Mediterranean Sea bass and my husband ordered the moussaka. Both wonderful. We had baklava for dessert. All portions were appropriately sized, not too big, so we were able to sample a few dishes. I will definitely go back again. More...
I was brought here by my roommate after an exhausting day. Turkish coffee? With the thick sludge in the bottom? And a powdered Turkish delight for each of us? !?! My brain came alive. Avgolemono soup, with deliciously lemon chiffonish and shredded chicken, warm and tangy, woke up my body, and the warm, savory kebabs refueled my belly. A fantastic meal worth much more than we paid. Can't wait to come back! More...
Tasty food , friendly ambience. highly recommend!!
What a great place for lunch. We so enjoyed our mere plate with breads. We even ordered another round. Fresh, great presentation, delicious bites of eight things. The Turkish coffee was delightful with the candy, Turkish delight. Can't wait to return. More...

We had a wonderful meal, start to finish. Everything was very fresh, delicious, and nicely presented. Friendly service, too.

The best baklava you'll ever eat, I promise. Extremely friendly owners and staff, and it's also the only place that I've found that serves Raki
Outrageously delicious and authentic Mediterranean cuisine! Everything is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. It is a gourmet experience without the gourmet price tag. The owners are genuinely wonderful people who will always greet you with a smile. Be sure to save room for the amazing baklava for dessert! More...

Fantastic food, great service from a warm and friendly staff. We will be back and would recommend Matbah to anyone.
Food is amazing so as service. The best of Istanbul!
Food was very tasty and prices were reasonable. Staff were very friendly and great service. Can’t wait to go there again !!
I love the food here. Mediterranean and Turkish food which is not easy to find in town. It's quite a hidden gem in Manchester. The service is friendly but a little unorganized. They ran out of many items on the menu which our waiter didn't know. More...
Always spot on. Amazing.
We are a Greek and Portuguese couple, who enjoy homemade, high quality food. Matbah has surpassed the cooking of even our own grandmothers - it’s that good. This is a five star dining experience. More...
Very yummy food. I wish the sea bass come with rice. The lamb shake is very good as well.
Interesting place in Manchester. Very friendly waitress. Owner dropped by tables to chat and was quite engaging. Dessert baklava was to die for.
We love Matbah! The food is always delicious, and the staff are great. We have asked for suggestions a few times, and loved everything.
The restaurant was not flashy, but the Moussaka was awesome. It took a bit to get, but well worth it.
Very delicious and tender food with a beautiful presentation! Reminder of the Eastern culture and cuisine. The atmosphere is very calm and exotic!!
Very friendly folks, quick service and fair prices. Definitely a return visit place!
We had lamb shank meal which was wonderful. Service/attention by owner was very nice. We will definitely be back.
Got a GIANT falaffel sandwich and fries for $9.50 after tax. Great food for a great price. The falaffel is packed with flavor and is as rich as meat and the tahini/pomegranate sauce combo is perfect.
Awesome food....And the ppl
Loved the food and the price - must try stuffed zucchini
Authentic. Delicious. Quality staff.I forgot my wallet when I left after my meal. One of the staff members chased me down the street (in the rain) to return it to me.
TL;DR: Overall, great quality of food and amazing service. Most dishes reasonably priced. Would recommend for locals and for those just visiting the area! I came here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch with a friend. There were a few parking spots near the restaurant, so that was not an issue. I walked in and was immediately greeted by the waitress. Sat down and looked through the menu and she was able to provide great recommendations for the house specialties. We were served free bread, olives, and pickled peppers. They were a good start to the meal. We ordered the Lamb Shank and the Moussaka, both dishes came out very fast. The lamb was fork tender, ready to fall off of the bone. Bulgar pilaf was flavorful, just needed a bit of salt. The Moussaka is comfort food! Somewhat similar to a Shepherd's Pie, this dish tasted great. The chefs and waitress were very understanding in my friend's dietary restrictions and were working to ensure his needs were met. I wish they offered the lunch menu on Sunday, as I wanted to look at the Sandwiches /Wraps, but I should have asked instead of just assuming the dinner menu was only offered. Some of the dishes can be a bit pricey - would love to have tried the Mixed Grill but for almost $30 and what seems to be a smaller portion of food, I decided to pass. More...

Great presentation of the food and great atmosphere. Gorgeous kalims on the backs of the seats and good decor. A but expensive for what you actually get but the owner is incredibly nice and helpful. Some of the staff , while nice, are hard to understand and it's important because there are dishes that need explanations. Overall recommended. More...
Delicious meals expecially moussaka, lamb shank and chick pea pilaf . Yummy!!!!!!! Good job omer.
Food was great. Portions are perfect.
Great cuisine! The food was wonderful!
Good food & accommodating staff. Nice place for something a little different from pizza & burgers
We were thrilled with the quality and the presentation of the food. Everything was authentic and we felt we were in Istanbul again. The owner was nice and recommended some dishes that turned out to be very good choices. The restaurant was busy but the wait time was short. I would definitely come back to this place again. More...

Owner Omer is awesome and friendly and the Turkish coffee and wine from montenegro were perfect!
Love the food, great staff, wonderful experience. Defiantly will be coming here often
A strong contender in the downtown restaurant scene. Fantastic for a light lunch and strong Turkish coffee.
Matbah has one of the best Mediterranean cuisines that I have ever had. I have travelled a lot and lived in 7 countries but Matbah holds a special place for me. It’s a family run restaurant and what stands apart is the hospitality that the owner and his family and employees provide. The food is mouth watering and IFB you have Elizabeth as your server then you are in for a great culinary delight accompanied by great service. A must visit place in Manchester. To add to this, try the Turkish coffee and then one of my favorites. Raki. You will not be disappointed and will come back again and again. More...
Went out for mother,s birthday to Matbah. Ohmar and his family are very welcoming. It was very busy there and the staff worked hard to keep up. The food including lamb shank, stuffed cabbage, and sirloin salads were all delicious. Omhar took time to explain the seasoning use and how food is prepared. I would have given it 5 stars but they seemed a litlle short handed. I would recommend this place and visit again. More...
