This restaurant is one of my very favorite restaurants, Indian, South Indian, or otherwise. We eat here about once per month, and I would say that the restaurant is currently (Oct. 2019) going through a "very good" phase with the staff and cooks (though in my opinion they have never been below "good" since we started visiting 5 or 10 years ago). The food is delicious, and the South Indian dishes served here are simply not available at other North Indian restaurants in this part of town. I also love the genuine feel of the place. The service (at the lower points, though not recently) reminds me of my trip to India long ago, but the servers have ALWAYS been friendly and responsive when I ask for something, no matter how busy they are. Pro Tip - You do need to ask for the check or go to the register to pay, since they generally won't rush you out the door by bringing your tab to the table. More...

Not a vegetarian but their food is awesome. Try the gobi masala (cauliflower drenched with curry), the chetti nadu dosa (fermented rice crepe with spiced veg), and cheese chili paratha (dense flatbread). Excellent stuff.Buffet isn't our favorite, but the made to order items are excellent. One gripe is that the service is incredibly slow depending on who's working there. The co-owner is lightning fast, but service is otherwise slow when anyone else is there. More...

This is my go to place everytime I feel like eating authentic South Indian vegetarian food. Good buffet selection and decently priced as well. The only thing to note is that they put onions in pretty much everything (thankfully no onions in naans yet). Please stop putting onions in lentils and other dishes that are typically not made with it. Other than that, you'll not be disappointed for the most part (I haven't tried everything on the menu). First time going. Food was all fresh and tasted wonderful. I'm use to doing Buffett at most indian restaurants I've been to on the past (buffett is on Thursday only btw) so had no idea what to order. I'm not use to all vegetarian dishes. I'm glad I came. Will come again More...

By far my favorite Indian food in the Denver area. The food is always excellent, and spicy as requested. The service is always on point you can tell they care about quality ingredients in the food. I think everyone should give this "unassuming from the outside" restaurant a try. And if you are looking for vegetarian food you won't be let down! More...

I just had the most divine meal at Masalaa. I've been going here for well over a decade and not only is the food always superb, but the service and prices are always great too. I appreciate that it's easy to get delicious vegan and gluten-free food. There is a reason why most of the guests there are Indian. The environment, the kind service and the fabulous food all make me feel like I am back in India. Each time I go I make sure to order extra to take home. Thank you Masalaa!! Namaste More...

Agreed with others here that the service staff can sometimes be a little lacking but the quality of the food more than makes up for it. Everything is delicious! The dosas are GI-NORMOUS and my personal favorite is the Aloo Mutter. The menu can be a bit overwhelming as it is long and, for people unfamiliar with Indian food, it can be a bit daunting. Also, do be careful about the level of spice as I recently took my 70 year old parents and they were sniffling and tearing up due to the heat level. Personally, I love the spicy kick! If you need to cool down after, there's a DQ just 20 feet down ;-) More...

Great vegan/vegetarian options! I didn't miss meat at all, and the vegan friend who went with me was ecstatic about all the choices. We had the lunch buffet, and the paneer was excellent. The rice pudding was great, too, probably the best I've ever had. The guy working there was so kind and incredibly helpful! More...

Masalaa serves only Vegetarian Fare, But is one amongst the very best amongst Indian Restaurants in Denver area. The highlight of their buffer are the Vadas and Dosas served with South Indian Sambar, the only thing which is not so good about Masalaa is they are mostly understaffed during peak hours and they take a lot of time to turn around with your Dosa orders that are part of your buffet. Also if one is too keen on finishing off your dinner with some good Red Wine, this place is not for you. That apart you can grow your tummy eating out here with their tasty and thoroughly homely Indian food More...

Masalaa has a great vegetarian lunch buffet! The items vary from day to day. I go quite often because it is nice to have vegan options. Most dishes are flavorful and you get a complementary dosa with the buffet. I would recommend you get the masalaa dosa. The decor is a little dark and the floors a bit sticky. The staff is nice and there has been a small language barrier. Overall, the food and the price eclipse any shortcomings the restaurant has. Don't let the fact that this is a vegetarian restaurant turn you off, the buffet will leave you splitting at your seams. More...
